    WOW

Originally, I thought he was a better CB prospect than WR. Not to say he wasnt a top WR prospect in this class. But I think early in the process you had more "experts" thinking he would be a full time DB with offensive packages. That is not how the Jags plan to use him, as you are aware. They have already said he will be a WR first. If I were their GM or Coach, I would have him play WR full time and play some nickleback/free safety on obvious passing downs. It was a lot for the Jags to give up and personally I am not sure he will wind up being the best WR or best DB in this draft class. But because he is such a unicorn, it made sense for an organization like the Jags even just from the standpoint of generating buzz and excitement, ticket and jersey sales.

80/20 Issues that are Killing Liberals- Just added- LA Riots

I think one of the biggest things killing Dems/Liberals right now is that, when in doubt, they resort to looking for ANY sort of social issue to point at. It's almost all they have at this point. As another poster in this thread pointed out, the Democratic Party used to feel like the party of the middle class, working class (the majority). Now they just feel like the party of "marginalized minorities". And I think a lot of minority groups are finally wising up to the fact that its in Dems best interest to keep them feeling marginalized so they have a campaign platform.
  6. I cut it out because it wasn't relevant. If these kids were just ringing the doorbell OR attempting to break in, I would not want to see them shot and killed unless they have a weapon and shooting them prevents the loss of other lives. So this is not the gotcha' moment you were hoping for when you tagged me. Plus, as I mentioned, I do think there are some distinct differences here... especially the difference between a trained officer in broad daylight compared to a potentially rattled civilian at 3 in the morning at a residential property. Not to say the officer wasn't in a hectic circumstance... but he's a trained officer for a reason. I had asked about a business because the capitol building is a place of business. And rioters during some BLM protests did this to businesses. I was surprised that a few of you claimed you would have agreed with any of them being shot and killed... well, surprised but not surprised. Not surprised because you want to sound consistent but surprised because I'd be willing to place a large bet that without Jan 6 and the Babbitt shooting ever happening, you'd have been against the shooting and killing of any BLM rioters. And yes I agree that a business is comparable to a house as anyone inside that business is inside their place of livelihood which can be just as important as ones home.
  7. I guess you can say it, but i'm not sure why you @'ed me. I don't think he should have been shot Although I guess if you want me to go deeper, I don't think the events of Jan 6 happened in the dark at 3am and I am assuming the shooter in this case was a civilian and not a trained officer. Much like I said of Babbitt, who I said I would not consider intelligent, I don't think these kids were very intelligent doing this kind of thing at 3am or at all... So you are consistent and this dude shouldn't have been shot, but you just @'ed me to compare the event to Ashli Babbitt on Jan 6, who you feel it was okay to shoot?

    Happy REAL ID Day!

same happened to me before a trip to Madrid in 2023. I procrastinated renewing it because I was not certain the trip was going to happen, when I should have just renewed it regardless. Ended up doing everything in January, was told i'd be fine as the turnaround time was 6-9 weeks. Then at some point while I was waiting, their website showed the turnaround time as 8-12 weeks or something like that, but anyone who had filled their stuff out before a certain date was supposed to still be honored that original time frame. It was like 2 weeks before I was supposed to leave and i'm on the phone with them because the status had been "approved but not mailed" for a while. I'm asking them if I can go to the NY office to get it and they tell me there are no available appointments in NY for months. I can go to Dallas or something . Then while on the phone, the guy somehow magically finds out it in the mail to go out that day. I received it maybe 4 days before my flight

    Happy REAL ID Day!

I understand. There was a long stretch where I didn't do any international travel but still had a passport with nothing stamped in it . I believe I got one at an early age in case I went on fishing trips to Canada with family, as after 9/11 I think they were checking passports at the border. I guess I also don't quite understand most people rushing to do this the past few weeks because of a deadline. Unless you have a domestic flight coming up, just wait another month or so for the commotion to die down

    Happy REAL ID Day!

Are the people who don't already have it and are panicked to get the real ID, people who don't have passports? I do not have a real ID and have not even thought about it since I have a passport. I would be more shocked to know people don't have passports
  12. I'm not sure where your reading comprehension leads you to think i've said she doesn't. "As a whole" does not mean Disney is the only one responsible.
  13. and nothing in the post I quoted as correct, says otherwise shes easy to dislike, narcissistic, loud, and went too far with the woke elements. doesn't change the fact that at the end of the day, she didn't make the movie and the failure as a whole falls on Disney

Support the cop, defund the police… lack of consistency is funny on both sides however I’m still not seeing where gun fire was warranted.

    **2025 PGA Championship Thread**

Theoretically, that Masters win should open up a floodgate for Rory so to speak at majors going forward. For a while, he couldn't get out of his own way but the monkey of his back. I do agree though that there may be some hangover, understandably. X man finished top 10 at Augusta. T12/T8/T18 in his last 3. Hard for me to leave him off a top 10. But I appreciate the more surprising shots with Day, Berger, Garcia and Griffin.

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

I also see a lot of people posting in this topic who I would bet had no issues with things like the BLM protests which, while largely peaceful, had their fair share of destructive incidents that involved breaking into businesses, property destruction, looting, arson, etc. Would it have been okay to shoot and kill any of those rioters? (I say no and I bet they do too) A business is someone's place of livelihood... if they were inside and rioters broke in... okay to kill? I was just given a comparison to my place of work being broken into, so

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

Both you and Tim are assuming I have not seen any video. Just because I don't let Jan 6 consume and have some questions about it doesn't mean i've never seen video or read anything. I am glad you are able to see that your link is a quick summary of what and why but not HOW they came to their conclusion, like I stated. Again, I am not saying I would agree or disagree, I am saying a press release is usually not enough for you to link and say "what do you disagree with", as they are not often very specific. Yes, I say triggered because it sounds like you are getting agitated with the fact that I have questions or the fact that my personal feeling is that no one needed to be shot. Kind of telling that no one else was shot on Jan 6th, no?

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

Now you sound like you are getting triggered, when I specifically said that I do not follow this closely or let it consume me and that I had legitimate questions. I had no idea she committed any violent acts or that most of the rioters committed any violent acts. I don't believe breaking and entering / property damage is considered a violent crime. A majority of your linked press release is just a breakdown of what occurred on that day. I don't disagree with any of it (like I said, never should have happened) and I would say the way it is laid out would indeed make me wonder why a gun was fired. the closing statement of the release simply says "no evidence to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that the officer willfully committed a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 242".... it does not explain how or why they came to that conclusion. Which I wouldn't expect a press release to do. So I really can't say if I agree with their findings or reasoning

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

I didn't mean you were saying she was the leader of the entire Jan 6 crowd, but you ARE saying she was leading the mob... do you just mean she happened to be the first one attempting to go through the window? These are legit questions, I'm not trying to bait you or anything. I am not a "maga republican" so I have no reason to blindly defend Ashli Babbitt. Was the window she was crawling through a choke point? It sounds like you're saying she was the first / person attempting to lead a mob in. How is it that subduing one person would "allow the rest of the crowd in?" They would have all been able to spill in at once?

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

Fun scenario. You've decided it's "pandemonium" so we will go with that. And due to the nature of the work there is tremendous security, yet they were beaten by a mostly unarmed mob of people. I assume in this situation, since you are trying to paint a comparison, there is an armed guard in shooting distance of the busted open window? Since my armed guard has a gun, and the mob member does not, my preference would be use physical (not deadly) force on this first person crawling through the window. Unless you want to paint a scenario where I am in Olympus Has Fallen. If that's the case, gimme Gerard Butler killing mother fuckers

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

I was not aware she had a folding knife. Thank you for letting me know. I assume she was waving this knife around and attempting to stab people? How do you know what the intent of the "lawless mob" (typical bombastic language like I mentioned before) was? Or more importantly, what HER intent was? Since you just said she was the leader. Would the more appropriate action be to use physical force to subdue her and cuff her? or shoot her? Look, i'm not saying she was a smart woman. And I am sure there was a lot of confusion that day... I just can't think of many examples where someone who is unarmed (if the knife was in her pocket for example) and committing a non violent crime (in this case breaking and entering?) would be shot and killed as an appropriate response
