    Biggest threat to America?

every time you post, your stupidity offends me. Did it ever occur to you that people often ignore comments on message boards?..., or don't take them seriously?... or don't take the person seriously / think they are worth responding to? Notice how you were to only one to quote him? Crying because no one else quoted him to condemn him I rarely ever respond to Weepaws schtick. Why do you get so butt hurt over cdub?

You are the second to ask for PPR. Funny because I have been a PPR guy my whole FF life but for whatever reason I felt like I should keep this game going with its original rules.

I mean yes, CA … but no one would have thought a super team would be formed in golden state. Granted it was mostly built internally but KD was willing to join.

In keeping with tradition its staying as standard scoring and is a free game where hopefully @Bill E. would be willing to donate a shark toof as a prize. Only if he participates, of course.

I’d probably go away from a lottery. The increased playoff teams should have mediocre teams trying to win later in the season because no franchise is turning down playoff game revenue, even if they have no realistic chance to win a title. So perhaps that, combined with no lottery system might make a decent improvement. . I mean, or they could go with something I’ve done in FF dynasty and keeper leagues and award the top pick to the best team who doesn’t make the playoffs. Incentive to try.

yeah, I guess I more meant it wasn't enough of a solution. I agree with you, it likely increased the problem.

is spacing really the issue or is spacing kind of part of the problem? There are a lot of shooters who routinely nail 3's from 4 feet beyond the arc

    *** NBA Thread 2024-25 ***

Lebron kick started the trend of teaming up and picking where you play. To me that sort of ended the rivalries. It snowballed into whiny stars forcing their way to the teams they wanted to play for by any means necessary. We watched Durant blow it against the Warriors and then turn around and join them. James Harden pout his way to the Nets only to pout his way to the 76ers only to pout his way to...and on and on. "the process" didn't help and the measures implemented to try and dissuade teams from tanking were not really enough. Perhaps the biggest issue has been with teams resting star players. It ruins the product and the fan experience. With the play in part of the seeding and the extra teams making the playoffs, it's more incentive to rest veteran stars. The MLB season is too long but at least, even with their playoff expansion, it still feels like teams need a sense of urgency all year to secure a spot. To be fair to MLB which has its own problems, their playoff expansion has worked well to keep mid market teams trying to win deeper into the season rather than selling off. The 3 point shot didn't ruin the sport. It was perfectly great for many years after the 3. Analytics deciding that you either take a 3 or a dunk/layup and nothing in between is really to blame. It's hard to be upset at strategizing to win but the unfortunate consequence is the games turning into 3 point contests. Big men focusing on 3 pointers rather than their post up games. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apologies for the TLDR... And as silly as some of the proposed MLB changes are, like the golden at bat, I do applaud them for being willing to try different things to help fix the sport and its declining popularity. I wish the NBA would be more willing to try out some bigger changes. For example, is there a decent way to limit the number of 3 point attempts a team can take in a game? Maybe in each half? Add a 3 point attempt counter to the scoreboard. Make coaches and players be aware of and game plan for when and how to utilize the 3. The attempt limit still has to be high enough that defenses can't retreat from defending the 3 point line but just enough of a limit that you can't fire it up on every possession. 37ish 3 pointers per game seems to be about average this season. Boston takes 50 per game. Denver (ranked last) takes 31. I suppose that right there is an argument that a big fix doesn't need to be implemented. 2 of the best teams in the league and the last two NBA champions are on complete opposite ends of the strategy spectrum. .... But what if teams were capped to 35 three point attempts per game? Take a 3 after you hit the limit and it's technical free throws for the other team. I'm sure the argument will be that once a team hits its max, the defense can crowd the rim and it would be much harder to mount a comeback. But it could also be argued that if you use your attempts judiciously throughout the game, you should have enough of them late if a comeback is needed. Would add some extra wrinkles to coaching and game planning. Hell, you could even structure it to be 35 attempts with 5 more added at the 6 minute mark of the 4th.
  13. The same way libs whined about bad orange man for the last 8 years? To the point they were more focused on Trump than the guy they had falling asleep at the wheel?
  14. Honestly, of all her speaking failures this is a big nothing burger. We all want our leaders to be eloquent speakers, but that's just not always going to happen. Trump really isn't... and you all remember Bush-isms. For me it's a much bigger deal when she fakes an accent to pander to a certain audience. Things like that show she has no self awareness. Or how she fumbles and cackles nervously when she doesn't know how to answer a softball question. If you can't improvise when needed, why would I want you running the country? Although I doubt she was nervous, mixing up a line like this or singing the national anthem or whatever can happen to anyone at any given moment. I can't even remember the last time I needed to say the pledge.

Trump May Privatize Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac

Not really. There has always been a semi deadline for the government to make a decision on fannie and freddie as their current warrants expire in 2028. they could be extended but it is beneficial for the government to release fannie and freddie and have the share price rise. They have swept many billions into treasury coffers since the net worth sweep was enacted. The best outcome was always thought to be attainable under a Trump administration. Since they have been on my radar, I've seen their price over $5, $6, $7 at various times, only to be suppressed by negative statements from Obama, really bad court case rulings, etc. It's been very tradeable over the last 12ish years. I hope we are entering the time when the stock price will continue to rise and maybe one day settle in the 30's but I still think anything can happen.

    2000 hours of misery

Fage is a brand. I'm guessing it comes in a plastic container. Eggs come in a carton. I mean, making an effort to eat healthy is always commendable and i'm not downing on it. Just sounds a little arbitrary.

    Thank you

There is a good amount of skill involved in FF. Just more luck than most blowhards want to admit. Best to measure success in FF in the form of consistency (being in contention late, making the playoffs, playing for titles, etc)... final table stuff, as you mentioned. in before the weepys comment
