***Fantasy Geek Ball League 2024*** Is Clocaine the team to beat?
WhiteWonder replied to bostonlager's topic in The Geek Club
Interesting final week. Biffster can clinch the #1 seed with a win. With a loss... Shore, WW, AD, Clocaine all still alive for the #1. #2 seed still up for grabs amongst AD, Cloaca, Shore (Biff and WW as well if Biff loses) Final playoff spot is down to Rusty, Twinsdad and Herb. Herb is a game back but has a significant lead in points scored tie breaker. Losses for rusty and Twins and a win by Herb would get it done. -
how obtuse can you be? I am not making any comparisons. Your statement was "Gun and tax charges. Meh" as if to brush it off as no big deal. All I did was point out that the pardon was for ANY crimes committed dating back to 2014. You don't think this potentially stinks of knowing more? I don't really care. At the end of the day, we all know Hunter Biden is a POS (we all know Trump is a POS too). I do, however, find it extra funny given the democrats spent the last 4+ years hyper focused on "getting" Trump. To the point that they were more focused on Trump than the guy they had in office who was falling asleep at the wheel. Seems like daddy was afraid the justice system would be politicized against his son the same way it was politiczed against Trump. hmmm

and anything else for 10 years.

Barkley, Henry, Brian Robinson/Ekeler, james cook... I really can't think of a talented RB who is greatly hurt by his running QB, even if they do vulture the occasional TD. I think the issue for Taylor, with Richardson is Richardson being so bad in the pass game compared to Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels, Hurts, Lamar etc.

His wife's lover wont tolerate it at home, so he brings it here

It's not about being a WR1. People are not exclusively starting fantasy WR1's every week. It's more about his boom/bust potential. We know he has the potential of a WR1, we know with Jones he was putting up 10-15 ppr fantasy points recently. We don't know if he can boom with DeVito. So, again, would you keep starting him or would you turn to maybe a less talented option you feel you can trust more? I believe that is what the OP is trying to discuss. You had stated you didn't understand the question.... so I guess you don't feel its a worthy topic, despite responding.

I didn't start the topic, just explaining it, really. I believe the question is, do you continue to start him hoping he returns to that WR1 production we saw for a few weeks or do you defer to another option if you have some decent choices. It seems like a decent topic to discuss, especially if you think the Giants may lean more on the run and Tracy/Singletary. I don't believe the OP was suggesting dropping him. It sounded like a question about taking a wait and see approach and maybe for this week starting someone like a Courtland Sutton over him, for example.
-
the discussion is about what to do with Nabers now that Tommy D is starting. Nabers should help DeVito, but will it be the other way around? I don't think pointing to DeVitos rushing yards, lack of turnovers or sacks really has anything to do with how he can help or hurt Malik Nabers. The completion % is the argument, but as has already been mentioned, he did that with a single game above 200 yards passing.
-
Agreed. Daniel Jones may be bad but he has the experience to theoretically know how to feed his best offensive weapon. We don't really know yet what the giants will do with Tommy Cutlets under center. They may be much more run heavy. Nabers targets may go down and it may at least take a week or two for them to build a connection. Nabers could have a great game but I think if you have anyone close, you start the other guy and take a little wait and see approach.
-
and this has what to do with Nabers? 80% of his passes for 200ish yards or less is not promising.

didn't think the ad was that funny and had to look up who Shane Gillis is. bud light is pretty nasty but i'm sure it will continue to make a comeback with good advertising

if there was something better than the first round of the fedex cup on tap for August then i'd like to get a final event then but I think what you laid out already is good. Ending the season with The Open
-
I’m not looking at the pga schedule. Is API an elevated event? Is there nothing noteworthy in August? Would be nice to have one a month through august with the sentry as kind of a bonus start to the season and another double month by default edit: I see the API is signature and the only real August option would be the st jude

Woody needs to sell the team. He is an absolutely clueless owner
-
I don’t see any reason to raise it. If we do that then we have to play around with changing payouts etc again. Keep it as is. But I think I liked the 10 events

Won't matter until Woody Johnson sells the team or dies. One of the worst owners in sports. Clueless. Joe Douglas made some mistakes, but he also hit some home runs. Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Jermaine Johnson, AVT, Sauce is a bit overrated but still a very good player. Will McDonald looks good so far. Made the smart pick with Fashanu this year. Joe Tippman last year. And further, you have to look at free agent signings / waiver claims like DJ Reed and Quincy Williams. .... of course some of this good is offset by drafting Zach Wilson and not having a more veteran backup plan in 2023. Mekhi Becton as well. I thought the Jets could have kept him around and simply told him he wasn't going to have a say in the next coaching hire, be thankful he's still employed. It's hard to keep a coach and fire a GM but I think it can work the other way around.
