Rice will not be attainable, imho, for Dobbins and Pollard unless that owner is decimated at RB and has a ton of WR depth. Garrett Wilson would be the player to target after 2 down weeks, regardless of his draft capital. But when I see your roster, I am not sure the need to push to trade? I suppose youd prefer to not be starting Doubs. I get it. What WR options are available in free agency? Aiyuk just got a bump so you really just need to address WR3. And you RB depth is very very good. If you really need to trade I would shop Pollard for a WR3. Someone you would clearly start every week over Doubs and leave Doubs as a WR4 on your bench with upside once Love returns.

PPR WR - Mooney, Q Johnston or Reynolds
WhiteWonder replied to gridirongoofs's topic in A Little Help!
Mooney > Johnston. In that order. You said you are leaving the players from the Rams alone for now but I would strongly consider Robinson if he is somehow available. But you likely should be rostered so if you mean Johnson and company, then yeah, I'll pass for the two listed above. -
LaPorta and White. This is White's best chance to show some signs of life getting a soft Carolina DST. And LaPorta was likely a high pick. No reason to be benching him after 2 weeks. His TD potential should be higher right now than Terry or Sutton.

There is no way you get Bowers for any 1 of those RBs. You would need to package Ford and Singletary, AND hope Bowers was not his only TE (I have some leagues where owners have Andrews AND Bowers for example). You just can't get something for nothing which is what you're essentially trying to do. You're even trying to talk up Singletary as if you were trying to pitch him to the Bowers owner. Who are you TE's and what TE's are available? It might just be easier to keep your RB depth and try to find a hidden gem in free agency

I still like Mooney. I think as Cousins gets more comfortable, Mooney has the talent to have good weeks as the WR2. I view him as a short term option and a long term upside pick up. Jennings will have short term value though I expect to see Aiyuk and Kittle leading the way in the pass game. I am still tepid on Pierce. A lot of his production has come on chunk plays and Pittman hasn't started heating up yet. Team will also continue to be run heavy with ARich and Taylor.

LIV Players that are being relegated from the league
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
gotcha. i had also read that bubba was safe due to being a captain but have no idea what source that was from. they probably had old info. what I have noticed is that LIV actually seems to be gaining some traction and interest. I think as the initial sour taste vanishes, and knowing we still basically still have the best of the best at the majors, people will start to enjoy a different format. -
Thoughts On The 2024 QB Class So far ?
WhiteWonder replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
I think Jayden Daniels will wind up being the best of the bunch if he can protect himself on his runs and maybe bulk up just a tad. He throws a nice deep ball. I was genuinely surprised when they traded Dotson away, as I felt that might be a good weapon for him. Terry is a nice receiver but they need to get him a true stud and watch out. (I am also secretly interested to see how Jordan Travis progresses in his injury recovery. Homerism aside, I really like the idea that he can learn behind Rodgers. Guy has some talent) -
Alvin Kamala - Who else dropped the fantasy ball?
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I can confidently say, not I. I targeted him in every league and picked him where I was able, without reaching outlandishly. I only was able to land him in about half my leagues due to draft position. Geek Balls is a perfect example where he was picked at 2.11 before my 2.12/3.1 turn. Or my main home league where I drafted 10th and took AJ Brown and then Jonathan Taylor fell to pick 15, I had Kamara targeted for round 3 somewhat based on the FFToday July Mock but he went in round 2. It is what it is but the PPG numbers from 2023 had him as fantasy RB5 so he was one of my "must haves" . Similar to Keenan Allen last season after he was PPG fantasy WR12 in 2022. I like to look for outliers like that, then assess their situations. Keenan Allen was also fantasy WR3 in PPG for 2023, but leaving LAC to play with a rookie QB and more target competition made him more of an avoid this time. -
Does Kamala automatically become President?
WhiteWonder replied to Alias Detective's topic in The Geek Club
every time I see a thread with her name, I get a slight bit of hope it actually reads Kamara and we are talking football... then I get nauseous -
Trust the process To be fair, they might have picked Bryce Young or A-Rich. And they did land DJ Moore in the process. But it also means they were still trusting Fields to be the guy OR if he busted, already looking to the Caleb draft class.

I was semi trying to tank in the last regular season week hoping you would pass me so I could catch Boston instead of the Mets (I would have lost even worse)

oof. Who is the Karen on screen trying to respond by almost immediately saying Trumps name? "we need someone who supports the military" so that someone is someone who should not know what's going on with the military? -

I don’t care much for the olives and celery garnish and assuming you’re playing a local muni that might be jerks about outside beverages, you’re probably going to have it in an insulated thermos of sorts. Guess you could still pop in the celery stick if you like it. titos, tomato juice, little bit of fresh lemon juice, liberal drops of hot sauce of your choice, pepper, pinch of salt. All poured over your ice which makes the insulated thermos/tumbler key. someone mentioned v8. While I enjoy v8, I think it’s too thick for a quality Bloody Mary

There is no cancel out theory. I mean, people talk about it but it’s not a real thing. As already mentioned starting a bunch of receivers that catch passes from your opponents quarterback does not guarantee that he won’t call his own number or that the running back won’t have a big game out of the backfield or the pass catcher that you don’t own goes off randomly. if your opponent has say Kirk cousins on MNF and you have a decent lead and need to choose between Devonta smith and Drake London, You should still generally go with the player you were going to start anyway if that wasn’t London then starting London specifically to “ cancel out” cousins would be foolish as cousins could simply throw to pits and bijan as well as London and your opponent could catch you from behind. The only time it makes a modicum of sense is if you’re opponent had Drake London and you were deciding between Jalen hurts and Kirk cousins for example then you might be able to rationalize that every time London scores points you will also be scoring points. Albeit fewer points, especially in PPR, but cousins will also accrue additional stats throwing to other players. I’m using this week Monday night game as an example. It’s not a great example because I don’t see why you would ever start cousins over hurts in any situation but you get the idea.

You did or you didn’t? If you didn’t, then I don’t understand. If you did, I don’t think it was enough of a disparity to feel bamboozled

Bigger “disappointments” if we want to overreact… tee Higgins, Chase, cmc if you didn’t read the tea leaves and didn’t handcuff early, Christian Watson as I think Reed showed he will be the top option, most bills pass catchers as it’s going to be frustrating figuring out from week to week, Tank Dell depending on draft capital won’t be reliable on a weekly basis, Michael Pittman I think some nerves are warranted, Puka I’m not sure why people were still picking him at the 12/13 turn with a known injury issue

Based on what you likely spent on him and what we saw in week one, I’m not sure why your feelings would change at all
