true. Adam is/was a special kind of delusional/idiot/loser but I believe that was genuinely him. I played poker with him and a few others a couple times. Today we have some posters who are a truly scary bunch who are quite possibly playing a persona which makes it even all the more sad.

Would You Buy A Haunted House Or A House Where Murder Occurred
WhiteWonder replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
i'll add more since this is a nice non political thread I am not someone who believes in hauntings (I also don't shrug off the concept entirely) but obviously there are people who do and others who psychologically will be convinced once you plant the seed, by any little noise they hear or oddity they notice or thing they can't quite remember like they are almost certain they put the toilet seat down, but now it's up! . If I was someone who believed, I don't think there is anything I could ever do to the house or property to not feel uneasy. I would also never live in the actual house where the murder(s) took place. If it's a well known thing, people would constantly be reminding you and asking questions. Who tf wants to walk through their own home and be like yeah, this is the dining room where they found all the bodies. So yeah, assuming i'm allowed to buy and then demolish the house, the murder house works for me. but there is some more information that might be helpful in making a decision. For example, is the haunted house haunted by the ghosts of it's 200 year old residents who voted for Biden in 2020? and were the victims in the murder house who were killed in 1988 also Biden voters in 2020? -

cool there are hundreds of theories regarding supernatural things, including land. point being it's possible that a haunting, if you believe in such things, would be tied to something on the land or nearby. Easier to demolish the murder house and feel comfy living in a new structure at the same address.... for me at least. -
Would You Buy A Haunted House Or A House Where Murder Occurred
WhiteWonder replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
okay now the title makes sense. I thought bunny was obliterated already today probably neither but i'd be more likely to buy a house where there were murders and just level it and build new. Haunted is probably tied to the land so can't take that chance -

welcome to the thread

all time worst posters at FFT i might jump in for NFL or MLB. Baseball would be a bit more difficult / subjective because of how much the game has changed (closers/no closers, DH, universal DH, Steroid era, juiced ball, etc)

crazy how the sky is falling tariff narrative had such a short impact on the market

This stuff really is easiest to do in basketball and hardest to prove just based on what you see on the court/field. If an NBA player has an over/under of 27.5 points, he can have other people wager for themselves on the under, giving him a cut or on his behalf... then go out and play your ass off as a rebounder and facilitator to help your team win the game while missing enough shots to score 22. Really, no one would blink an eye at that. If Jokic scores 22 with 16 boards and 12 assists in a Nuggets win, who the hell is going to say "you know what? I think Joker scored under his line of 27.5 on purpose for gambling"... I'm not sure a high profile guy like that is going to risk it but some 2nd unit player not making nearly as much $$$ might see an opportunity, and again... how do you prove they didn't have an off shooting night, or a night where it made more sense to pass to a better look? Baseball pitching was wild with the first pitch ball stuff and Emmanuel Clase? Like obviously you wager first pitch ball because it's easier to control throwing a ball than it is to make sure you throw a strike. Harder to hide that as a reliever too. I think a starter could go out there every 5th day and get away with it when they are pitching 5-6 innings. But it's just more difficult to control outcomes when its not you and the basket. Like a SP isn't going to wager a ton of money on his under strikeout line when he can't control how bad the other teams hitter are and can't guarantee the under without making it look really suspicious walking more guys than normal and/or faking injury. By that same thought process, it's going to be kind of obvious if a NFL receiver is loafing it out there and intentionally dropping passes to stay under a catch or yardage total.

I went to the Mets/Rays game back in June. Unfortunately it was also pride weekend at the stadium. 2 sitting right in front of me both were Mets fans so we were giving each other shiit, one was very hot and her gf was passably cute. Might have been the first time i've seen that

We didn’t have one for 2022 so putting this out there ahead of time. Have had some nice days in the 70s here (northern NJ) lately. Getting a few rounds in when normally I’m done for the season. Back in August I adjusted my driver to lower loft so it’s now playing as a 7.5 degree. Didn’t take as long to get used to as I expected and it added some good distance

Speaking of obtuse I guess you didn’t read the complete sentence you bothered to bold or you would have read the words “perceived threat of…” -

let me try to help you out. 1. my "so-called" sarcasm is clearly sarcasm because we all know the United States has no king. So me saying "we still don't have a king" is, indeed, sarcasm. 2. Social media is a cesspool and I very rarely use it. It seems you live there. 3. Was the purpose of the rallies not to protest against the perceived threat of a king, and supposed authoritarianism of a president you don't like? I fully understand the proposed purpose of these rallies, I am simply challenging the validity of them. I am further suggesting that the continual liberal rhetoric of king, hitler, threat to democracy, etc is far more central to this idea than anything the president has actually done.
