Hah! I blanked on that. okay so Peyton made it there a few years earlier. That makes Ed’s comparison even more fair.

If you say "Your husband is a very lucky man" to a woman, is that a cut down?

Any woman he meets, most likely. The bar is not very high -
He did play in an AFC championship game in 2003. Lamar has never been that far. but it’s actually a very fair comparison

I don’t think I’d need to be friends with the couple. If I meet a woman at an event and for whatever reason she starts telling me that she got her husband tickets to the US Open for his birthday, I could easily say “wow, your husband is a very lucky man!” -
Did Picksix Maholmes start to believe his own hype?
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
by what metric? ... as a stand alone team meaning just this 2024 Eagles? The NFC was much weaker this year than the AFC. Don't get me wrong, hats off to the Eagles for the game they played last night but I could very easily make the case that the Chiefs had a more impressive season, all things considered. I suppose you could say they will go down in history for toppling a dynasty? Even then, idk. Not like they prevented a dynasty just because they prevented a 3 peat. KC is already a dynasty for playing in 5 of the past 6 SBs and winning 3 of them. And I don't see KC going anywhere, like last night ended their run. -
this just speaks to what a sad life you live I lived through 4 years of Biden being asleep at the wheel and not once did I feel depressed over the fact Americans were still pretending he was not senile and feel like I needed to find "any ray of sunshine". woof. I hope you have a good therapist

Im a fat faced fock @dain11279

for the bolded I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, as a grown man. for the not bolded, that is your TDS speaking. Is he thin skinned? sure. Almost NO ONE as thin skinned as Trump?

Why wouldn't we?

I’ve got a message from MDC to all the haters …

he's doing the reverse Oldmaid -
Is she worried about it in terms of the arc of her career and her $$$? of course not. Does she seem like the type who enjoys it? I doubt it. Wasn't there a clip of her looking like she had no clue what was going on / why she was being booed? Doesn't seem like something she is used to. I'm sure you don't know much about Taylor Swift, just like I don't... but I do know that shes made a very nice living singing about breakups, ex boyfriends, little celeb spats with other female artists, etc. So to claim she's not nearly as thin skinned or wimpy as Trump could be off base.

I can assure you that even if Trump had NOT been there, comments would have been made throughout the evening. The Snoop, Brady commercial? Definitely would have still elicited a comment from the people who still actually believe their party is the party of love and tolerance rather than just needing it as an election platform. comments were also made just in normal side conversations which would have happened regardless or Trump being present at the game.

I only hit worthy anytime TD and Hurts to have 25+ more rush yards than mahomes. .... would have been up if the gatorade had been purple (basically a bet on the Chiefs to win)

Did Picksix Maholmes start to believe his own hype?
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I was simply stating that Brady consistently had some pretty good defenses (if my memory serves) so it does not surprise me that his SB loss margin was small. I was not blaming last nights loss on the KC defense, although maybe the defensive play calling was not great and it seemed like they had some trouble generating pressure. They definitely did a good job bottling up Barkley for the most part. Maybe Spags focused a little too much on that -

Meh. Brady had some really good defenses and some years with better weapons than Mahomes had even when Tyreek was there. The guy has played in 5 SBs in his 7 years in the league and won 3 of them. The hype is real and well deserved, despite last night. -
First off, thanks for explaining how the ML works . I thought money line meant they needed to win by double the spread. Second, you're "wagering 50k" (which I am 100% sure you did not) to win maybe 45k and this would determine you moving?

Watched with a bunch of family. My father and myself being the only Trump supports (more so anti liberal). Aside from the food the evening was terrible. Not only was the game shit, but as soon as they showed Trump, the groans and comments from the rest of the family began. I love my Aunt very much. We are very close, she's my godmother etc. but she is a classic TDSer. The rest of the game, I was counting the little snide comments she made about Trump. The pre game theatrics featuring black people.... "Trump must be loving this" .... the halftime show... even the commercial about breast cancer awareness, the same aunt, while pondering why mens health commercials show carrots instead of the actual pelvic region, slipped in a comment about Trump being orange. Everything finally came to a head when there was a commercial that I guess was promoting womens sports as being awesome and another Trump comment was made and a lengthy debate ensued about trans in women's sports, trans in general and eventually ended up in DEI stuff. That lasted close to an hour. Sure, I ended up getting involved in it but for focks sake I just want to enjoy my sports. Leave your non stop MSNBC and The View watching at home. It's the Super Bowl
-
It’s the Super Bowl. Anyone not expecting theatrics and a drawn out pregame is . Advertised start time was 6:30 est. game didnt start much after that.
-
Game is already tainted.

I like option 3 because I think you can find 2 non elevated events that still have good fields. WMPO would have been more than fine to draft… and then we have 3 events where we draft 4 including the Sentry
-
I was surprised they gave up Wiggins. He's been pretty solid over there. I guess you have to give up something but I would have assumed they would send someone younger along with Schroder and a pick.
-
yeah, I definitely have to make it a point to go once. As for the strategy, I don't know that it changes a ton. Maybe in the last rounds you look for a steady Adam Hadwin instead of a boom or bust Jonny Vegas . But drafting 4 counting 3 certainly seems to result in the teams that start out strong finishing strong. Less jockeying up and down the leaderboard when we all have 4 players the whole time. Theres a place for it. I'm sure we've done this at least once the past 2-3 years. But I just don't remember starting a season out with 3 straight... and it will be 4 straight and 5 of the first 8, I believe.
