funny, I was back and forth on handcuffing Breece Hall or picking a 6th receiver since I view this as a 4WR format with the flex. Not that I could have drafted Allen anyway needing my DST and Kicker still. -
The only move I still hate for the Rays is trading Randy. Again, just a spark plug player. Everything else made sense for a team that always needs to churn but can still contend for a playoff spot. Moving Paredes opens up a spot for Junior Caminero. Caballero and Lowe can handle SS/2B. Glad they kept Yandy. Trading away Jason Adam for an absolute haul was the best move they made. Fleeced the Padres on that one. The Rays make relief pitchers like a well oiled machine. Still have Fairbanks, Poche, Kelly, Cleavinger, now Rodriguez. Springs is back, trading Eflin made sense. Bringing in Carlson could be nice if it sparks his career again. But the biggest thing will be calling up Caminero. This team didn't have offense to spare and it parted with 2 of its 3 best producers in Randy and Paredes. Need to get Caminero in the lineup with Diaz and Josh Lowe.

Heading there in late September. Staying in Lisbon with a few excursions planned so far to Cintra and Porto. We will be there 6-7 days before I head on to Barcelona for 5 more (which I'm already familiar with). Anyone been? Looking for recommendations on cool shiit to see during the day and places to check out at night, places to eat, etc. Not looking to eat up too many days traveling within the country. Porto, for example, is going to be a full day trip.
-
Absolutely. The Paella in Barcelona was amazing and I imagine it's even better in Portugal. I'm going to look into a little wine/food tour in Porto during the day we go there.
-
No. I played a course outside Madrid last year and really it wasn't worth it. Plus somehow they didn't charge me for the rentals anyway. I would only bring my clubs if it was a specific golf trip or if there was an opportunity to play a famous course... (Valderama was where I wanted to play in Spain last year but the logistics didn't work out). Portugal doesn't seem to be known for golf. I'm sure there are some picturesque courses but most of the trip will be me and my buddy hitting up the night life and maybe seeing some historical shiit during the day. If I find a nice course and we decide to play, I'll just rent.

I’m much more likely to roll the dice on Ekeler. I don’t believe he is totally shot, especially as a weapon in the pass game and less overall rush volume may help him regain some efficiency

I’m just proud of myself for making sure to roster Eflin as the deadline approached lol. Was too risky with Mr. add/drop Mookz out there

On the bright side, Randy remains STL/TB only. So I didn't get hurt there. Civale remains exclusive. Paredes remains DET/TB. Morel becomes exclusive and the team probably has opened up a path for Junior Caminero... On the downside, Eflin is no longer exclusive, Ryan Stanek is no longer exclusive, and Jason Adam added another team to the mix. Same with Phil Maton, I'm waiting for the hammer of Yandy Diaz to be traded to another owned team

not to say any of this is wrong but if really tall players historically struggle with free throws, and it's possible that shorter players benefit from shooting off the glass, do shorter NBA players also historically struggle with free throws? is there a sweet spot in the 6'4-6'8 range? Without looking anything up in regards to this, I would think... if anything... it might be harder for a shorter player, looking more upward at the rim from the foul line, to execute a successful bank shot. But regardless, if there is any science or merit to banking free throws, wouldn't it provide a similar benefit across the board? Where a really tall NBA player could improve their % by banking it, but still struggle relative to a short player who is banking it, etc.

i dont expect weekend picks, just because my phone is always on me and I check in a few times a day doesn't mean other people should. I checked in a bunch on Saturday when I got back from Jets training camp but not so much Sunday. Was happy to see it wasn't waiting on me when I looked Sunday evening In the grand scheme of things, we started on 7/22 and will likely be done on 7/31. 8 business days seems reasonable. -
