exactly. more than a bit overrated, imo. of course she is attractive. Sydney Sweeney's fame stems from her compelling performances in popular television series like Euphoria and The White Lotus, along with her early roles in The Handmaid's Tale and Everything Sucks! Were her performances compelling? I have heard of two of those shows and couldn't even remember her in Handmaid's Tale... not that I saw that many episodes. Her popularity seems to have exploded in the last 2 years as she seemingly is the newest female sex symbol. Did she go full nude in a show or movie that catapulted her? If I had to guess, I would say she won't have much staying power

So is having a group or club whose members are only a certain ethnicity or a certain religion a no no? I think if you start saying that every community of similar individuals is racist, sexist, etc you would have a hell of a time dissuading it. Nor should you really want to. I said dissuade, not ban. I think it's probably ridiculous to think that people are not going to come together over shared beliefs, traditions, hobbies, etc. that is probably the main reason why I don't think racism is an issue here. They are not hurting anyone by choosing to segregate themselves. horrible, off the top of my head example,... but lets say you wanted to join a fishing club and you applied and they turned you down because you've never been fishing before and didn't know anything about the questions they asked you. They don't want you in their group because they don't consider you to be similar enough to them.... but they are not trying to stop you from fishing or from trying to join a different fishing club or even fishing on the same lake as them, you just wont be fishing with them as part of their club.

I don't think it's semantics at all. There are plenty of people in this country who have racist thoughts or ideals but don't actually do racist things. You also cant say that a bunch of similar people forming a group, club, community (whatever you want to call it) is a racist action. Do you want to start banning all clubs due to exclusion?

to google! Adams had 169 twice with Rodgers when he played 15+ games and 114 with the Jets in 11 games... Jordy had 150+ in 2014 and 2016. I think Rodgers has a tendency to force feed "his guy". That said, I also think he and Metcalf may have friction as Metcalf is not the most crisp of route runners to say the least. I will certainly be interested to see how that offense looks. Perhaps Jaylen Warren is being slept on just a little in PPR formats.

Well, I think a lot of folks are claiming this isn't racism because it's not. As I have repeatedly said, I believe a lot of the members of this group are probably racist but I do not think their actions or the general concept of establishing a community of similar individuals is racism. Just like I don't believe my friends Brazilian girl and her Brazilian community are engaging in racism even though when I was at their club I am sure there were some (mostly the other guys) who were giving me sideways glances like what is this white boy doing here. Brazilian women actually love white guys but like that guy said in the TMZ video, there is a difference between forced segregation on others and making a personal decision to segregate yourself

Good points. I simply go off memory a lot and don't google stuff. My memory tells me Rodgers prefers veterans, guys he has played with, and didn't historically use his TE's much. I suppose the TE part is maybe unfair. I do recall Finley having decent games and seasons. As far as the issue being lack of talent at the TE position, I am not sure Jonnu satisfies that. Obviously if a QB has Brock Bowers, he's going to utilize him. I also used to sometimes figure it was GB game plan, more so than Rodgers but as the years went on Rodgers was doing what he wanted anyway. Without the great option at WR2, I can see Jonnu getting more targets than one would initially think. So maybe there is some dark horse potential there.

Just watched your TMZ twitter/X video. Have to admit the guy makes some salient points. He may be full of it, but its not forced segregation. Private clubs exist all over. Is the Italian-American club in my town going to allow a German guy to join?

Again, (which I will say because we have now been conversing) I do believe this particular group is made up of racist individuals and their "community" is driven by racism. What I am trying to explain is that unless they specifically state it, you really can't make that claim. I already gave several examples of similar situations and asked racism? or cultural comfort? Because again, people who are "different" than the majority will end up not wanting to live there anyway. So at the end of the day they are going to end up with the community they want, just as other communities do. race baiting liberals love this though. Just look at your thread title

Why are you saying again like you and I have discussed this already? Based on that video alone, as I have not dug deeper and researched this community, how do you know they are not allowing anyone who doesn't look like them to live there? Do they have a homeowners association who approves people for residency where it can be shown that they reject applicants of certain races and religions? Because the thing is, when similar, likeminded people create communities or neighborhoods like this they usually don't have to go out of their way to do anything to keep out people who are "different". People who are "different" most likely won't have any desire to live there. So their community will wind up only being people similar to them regardless of if they are racist or if they just want to be around people who are culturally similar. Like I said, my gut would tell me these people probably sit around a camp fire and complain about black and jews.. but the actual concept of what they are doing is nothing new and not inherently racist.

I am clearly late to open this thread and reply but I do not think the concept of only associating with or living amongst people who are the same as you is racist or even any sort of new and shocking concept. It existed in the past and it exists today. Of course, In this particular case, the people creating this community may be racist and it may be racially motivated.... My great grandparents built their house in their NJ neighborhood and the 3-4 blocks where they lived were entirely Italian. This is because these people wanted to be around other people they identified with and had a lot of things in common with now that they were living in a new country. I see similar situations today with entire neighborhoods of Portuguese, for example. Extremely white looking, many born in the US, fluent english and portuguese speakers, very successful. Is this a racist thing or a cultural thing? The illegal Brazilian woman my friend dates only wants to hang out in her city with other Brazilians and go out to clubs where the employees and patrons are all Brazilian speaking Brazilian portuguese. My friend invited me once and it was quite uncomfortable as they all either don't speak english or don't want to talk to you in english (my friend speaks spanish and portuguese). I was just kind of there drinking, talking to my friend only and occasionally dancing with brazilian women but not conversing with them. Are they racist? Or are they just in their comfort zone? There are tons of neighborhoods around me that are entirely african american where if I park my car on the street to visit a friend or pick something up, I get death stares like I don't belong and why did I park my car? I think the concept of associating with people who are similar to you is human nature. It might not be race, it might be religion, hobbies, careers, etc. but I do think race baiting liberals eat this stuff up.

We didn’t have one for 2022 so putting this out there ahead of time. Have had some nice days in the 70s here (northern NJ) lately. Getting a few rounds in when normally I’m done for the season. Back in August I adjusted my driver to lower loft so it’s now playing as a 7.5 degree. Didn’t take as long to get used to as I expected and it added some good distance

That's all I had to go by unless someone can find something else.

Im just going by last year as I did not see any final decision in the 2025 winter meetings on paying 3rd. Just suggestions by edjr for if we had 11 members with larger entry fee's I took last year's payout structure and subtracted $25 each from jerrys payout and yours to account for edjr leaving mid season resulting in $50 less in the edex pot. Money has been sent to both of you

Nevermind. I found the Open 2024 thread and see that we intended to pay 1st and 2nd but we wound up paying 3 people because quitjr and fumbleweed tied for 2nd.

apologies for the delay in season payout. As i told Jerry I intended to do this friday but then I was at Jets taining camp and was crabbing saturday. the lord rests on sunday, which explains why I did so poorly picking golfers. I was just about to send out payments but now I am unsure if we paid 1st and 2nd or 1st 2nd 3rd last year? If anyone remembers please let me know.

i came very close to taking a stab on Pitts in round 12. Im not totally sure why I didn't since I can probably find a WR5 if Tillman went... and Tillman could also be a huge bust but I think he has some upside as the WR2 (and possibly can surpass Jeudy). A lot will depend on the QB play.
