for him, thats still a BIG win
-
Proof this was his intent? man you’re fishing hard.
-
so basically you have zero reason to infer the thread was started because of racism. you chose to do so because you WANT it to be a social issue.
-
Why does he need to in order for it to NOT be about race? Why can't people comment on things they see or feel without it being a racial issue if the person belongs to a minority group? Has he ever posted another thread about a black NFL QB or player sounding uneducated to indicate this is a pattern?
-
Maybe PGA West. Playing there this week but one extra week gap from Torrey and this week's event is a bunch of guys who won't be playing the Genesis anyway.
-
It's only the obvious inference if your goal is to make something an issue about race... which is clearly your goal (and you do it often). Perhaps, he simply heard Lamar talking and felt like Lamar sounded uneducated?
-
it's not always racism. sometimes it's just the truth. Kevin Garnett is my favorite basketball player of all time... and he actually seems like he had some decent sense with how to handle himself and his money during his career.... but the guy clearly can't speak very well or actually read very well, we know he didn't go to college by choice. He was not good when he was on TNT segments, sometimes very cringe worthy.... doesn't make me like him any less

Ive never really like the AT&T. Gotta love pebble though

regardless of the team, if we can find 1 more solid owner who won't need their hand held or quit or vanish.. we can definitely go to 14. Would 14 still have 6 make the playoffs or would that move to 8 with no bye weeks? I looked back and its varied a lot. 2012 was my first season. 16 teams 6 playoffs. By 2015 we were 16 teams with 8 in the playoffs. 2016 was 14 teams still 8 in the playoffs and that's how it was until 2021 when it was 14 teams but only 6 made the playoffs (2020 only 4 made the playoffs but Im assuming that was a covid thing)

I almost quoted Rusty but had a slightly different take on his story (real or not). Everything you posted is spot on but I was going to approach it from the angle that many women, especially younger, immature ones love to be pursued and fought for. They like the idea that you're jealous of other guys, etc. If you act the way Rusty claims to have acted, it backfires on them. They were hoping you'd be upset, broken up over it, fight to stay with them... that way, if they find out the other guys they want to date are not great, they will always have you in their back pocket. I had the same heartbreak when I was 18/19 (even the guys making fun of MDC likely did as well at one point in their lives) and I agree with you 100%. The worst thing you can do is to desperately try to win them back. It's not going to happen. But you don't know that until you live it. The best thing to do, even if it stings, is to act like it's all good and leave them alone. You'll get over it a lot quicker and start having fun again and you'd be surprised how often they wind up crawling back. You probably shouldn't take them back, but everyone is immature at that age.

simulator golf is fun to play, boring to watch. I watched the entire thing this week (none of the first match) and there are so many shots hit into the green where the sim angle is very awkward and focuses on just the ball not the pin/green. I found myself thinking someone had just hit it 10 feet away and it was 30 or thinking it was 30-40 feet long and they had an 8 foot putt. Not unlike my own experience with indoor golf -
right up my alley

while all of this may be correct, pulling up a thread from 19 years ago? also, like a "bich"

I’m sure we can find an As fan somewhere

I can vouch that BL/Biff would be an excellent and attentive owner. the Reds are available. however we need an even number of teams so would need 1 more for expansion.

Weepys who apparently doesn’t follow me around, following me around I’ll give you one thing Weeps. If anyone knows corruption, it’s probably a Christian like yourself amen, thanks

Since I have been in this league you are the 2nd person to ever be skipped during the supplemental draft. the other was 29Guests who ran the Astros and has since passed away. Skipping never happens in the regular draft because we have plenty of time. We institute it for the mid season supplemental because we have a restricted window to get in the 2 rounds of picks. Pretty sure we apologized for not making a better effort to hunt you down but your team had been inactive for weeks (injured players in the lineup, starting pitchers on the bench, etc) iirc. As for constantly looking for owners, the league was 14 people when I joined and has always been at least 12. We do not NEED any new owners this year, we actually have not needed any new owners since gratefulted passed away and RHR joined. Oddly, RHR has had no issues keeping on top of things. A few people are interested in expanding back to 14 teams, hence this thread.

Don't listen to this guy. He joined for a season and fell asleep at the wheel like Biden and never showed up for the mid season supplemental draft. Then got pissy when we skipped his picks, which he was allowed to make at any point upon showing up.... This may have been before the @ function and i'm sure a better job could have been done in tracking him down, but no other owners seem to need tracking down. Accountability is a great quality

For the record, LIV is not my baby. I just happen to defend it because the PGA is/was very hypocritical... and I think I was proven correct by all their reactionary moves. I am still a PGA tour fan and mostly watch that, not LIV. My feeling is you don't have to actually like something to accept it's validity. Same goes for TGL. I watched the whole match last night. I sort of get where you are coming from in the sense that these guys are not breaking away from the PGA, but they do seem to be touting it as a legitimate golf league. It's not like "The Match". You've got 6 golf clubs with team ownership, merchandise, a schedule etc. -
In my area, deer now roam around like geese. 15 years ago you did not see nearly as many in your yard and they were afraid of people and cars. Not anymore. It's like they wait to cross the road like geese instead of darting in front of your car. Seeing a deer eating foliage in the yard is no longer a "wow look at the deer". a lot of foxes as well. Nothing too unusual... I go crabbing pretty frequently in the spring, summer and fall. Tend to get a lot of blowfish and even an occasional flounder inside the traps.

The two biggest names in the sport "created" it, ESPN is on board, they have celeb owners they can trot into the booth and it's in a comfy arena where more celebs will sit in the stands like they are at an NBA game. I think it is set up to print money for the guys lucky enough to get invited.... at least initially. Long term, you may be right. I'd be way more interested if each team had a home course and they were playing actual golf. But I guess they felt stadium/trackman/prime time trumped that. I'd love to see it be inclusive of LIV players, and maybe it would have been if it were up to the players only, but it's in partnership with the PGA so that will never happen. Imagine a team that had Phil and Bryson.... maybe one with Rahm and Sergio. Up it to 8 teams, "regular season" matches to determine seeding for a bracket style playoff and championship. I do like that each team has 4 but only plays 3. Maybe it would have been more interesting if Tom Kim was playing instead of Kisner last night . I do not like that there are no carry overs. Seems much less likely for a team to catch up, even with the hammer.
