we made it through the whole draft without any political nonsense. -
I don't disagree, I just know Bier and possibly others have wanted weekly high score payouts. I could do without them
-
yeah I get it but what makes 12th more likely to ~stick than 11th? relegation would just be fun. I think the better way to keep people trying is the combination of weekly high score payouts as well as awarding something to the winner of the losers bracket (simple first choice of draft spot the following season)

gonna need an injury. too many startable QB's for fantasy these days. guy in my home league tried the same thing sort of in 2022 with Herbert and Murray both by round 6. -

maybe you implied it yourself. however there is a fundamental difference between the totality of 4 years being better than the totality of another 4 year period, regardless of 2020 alone. Also, recovery was well underway the second half of 2020 into the first half of 2021. Too bad the economy melted down second half of 2021 -

who said it was? -
i'll take the "learn to read" on that one I looked at the roster and then slightly up to see starting requirements. Looked like it could have been a snake draft Brown>Pacheco>Pittman>Kamara. Tough to get all 4 of them but i've seen Kamara last in WR/QB heavy drafted leagues.
-
similar QB strat to what i've been deploying in most leagues. Like your top 4 receivers and top 2 RBs. TE might be an issue. Those are both guys I wouldn't want to have to start. I wonder what was available at TE where you took.... Kirk, for example. If it was a Kincaid/Engram type, I think I would like that better with a 4th WR picked where you drafted Goedert. but maybe one of them pans out and youre riding high with Kirk as a flex.

crazier, yes. Most likely. Sucks because I think if he dialed it back a bit, he could let Kamala easily beat herself. She has nothing to run on anyway. If he wins, the next 4 years will be better than the past 4 years. Not likely better than his own first 4 years though. Dems will say it was all laid out by Joe and Kamala for Trump to succeed and had Kamala won, things would be EVEN BETTER!!! You know I'm not some super pro trump guy but I just don't get the clown show comments. 2017-2020 was better than 2021-2024. Those who hate Trump and hate his brashness claim his 4 years were a clown show but these past 4 years have not been a clown show? You literally had your guy fall asleep at the wheel, get pressured into quitting and be replaced by a cackling hyena who couldn't sniff the democratic nomination on her own in 2020. -

1 - was always going to be CeeDee so long as the holdout was over. I just view RB as extremely devalued in our format. CMC had a big workload last year... If he has another monster season, I can live with it, but i'll take the less injury prone position. 2/3 - Initial plan was London and Kamara and then forget about RB for a while. I think I was pleasantly surprised to be able to snag Adams and London. 4/5 - went off the rails a bit here. I didn't think LaPorta or Kupp would come close to making it back here, so when they popped a few picks before, I was disappointed. Nabers was also gone, I believe so I was picking from a big tier for my WR4. Too many good options. Then, in hindsight, I wish I would have picked McBride over Jones. I thought Evan Engram would last to the 6/7 turn. 6/7 - When Engram popped I had to pivot to Pitts, who I dont like and also owning London makes it feel a little more annoying. Would have much rather had McBride and gone Rhamondre/Raheem Mostert here. Starting McBride and Stevenson would be better than starting Pitts and Jones 8/9 - Glad Daniels lasted. A few more QBs were picked than I anticipated with Cloaca doing Cloaca things, etc. Missed Mostert so didn't really have a target. Addison has the talent, we will see about any suspension and the QB play. 10/11 - I was bored and still kicking myself on McBride so I went with a pair of stashes in Chubb and Hockenson. Two players who could be extremely useful if this team is still alive by week 8 .... I was happy to get Josh Palmer but was sniped on Trey Benson. Also the QB's I intended to pair with Daniels (Lawrence, Cousins, Herbert, Stafford etc) all kept going just before I could grab any. -

i just couldn't quite keep up with Twinsdad last year. 2022 I suppose I came in 4th but does horsenuts really count? Plus I still had Dawson Knox to go in that Damar Hamlin game -

The relegation thing is a fun concept and I almost suggested it instead of the extra $50 from last to first. But in both cases I find myself thinking, who really cares about 12th vs 11th? They both sucked. I think its probably better to let people do side bets who want to do side bets, consider increasing the buy in for 2025, and if we want incentive for owners to stay competitive it can be done with weekly high score payouts (once we have a larger prize pool) and we could also explore the idea that the winner of the losers bracket gets priority for picking draft slot the following year. Something along those lines.

Old maid had but that was prior to 2022 season

Probably should. Most of my leagues draw A,B,C for divisions after the draft is complete. -

Also espn and whatever lager used are high as fock. My draft was a sheet show. Well… really just the 4/5 and 6/7 turns the meat of the draft. I was getting too giddy as LaPorta and mainly Kupp approached. -

You can vaguely see a letter grade in the white boxes along the right hand side -
I still dont like payouts for weekly high score but am much more open to it if our prize pool is bigger. Right now, even if you do $5 per weekly high score, you're talking $70 over 14 weeks. Where would we pull that from with only a $600 pot and not have the podium finishes feel worthless (which is what fantasy is all about)
-
I believe through the regular season (week 14)

2023 payouts I believe were $400 / $150 / $50 I would be in favor of dropping 1st to $350 and awarding $50 to the regular season total points champion in future years, or this year if I get enough Yes votes.
