I thought this was going to need to be a repick. But I’m barely paying attention.

Compared to other years, playoffs, games, I felt like the officiating was pretty good yesterday and not as much blatantly for the Chiefs. I don't happen to think Allen had the first down. Had it been called so on the field It would have stayed a first down so I guess I understand the skepticism over why it was called short when the 2 refs seemed to disagree initially. And the play that was ruled a catch... It seemed to me like the ball was possessed when it hit the ground (albeit by 2 players at the same time) so I was fine with that being a catch as well. everyone is hyper focused on calls or non calls the chiefs get. The end of the game seemed very clean compared to usual.

Might want to double check that. I read no cut somewhere.

But what I was suggesting was finding events that are not designated. This year the WMPO is not designated right? Looks to be around 120. So my question was, would a field like that be too watered down? And are there other similar events that enough big names attend where we are like t have to do double headers? maybe not. Idk.

There must be some full field events that still have some star power

Actually came here to mention I’ll be heading to AC tomorrow and back Tuesday. I’ll still be checking in but may not be as fast. Worst case Ed or fumble can text me

There must be a way to know how big these fields are before we select events, no? I know the sentry is what it is with a small draft but it seems more fun when we are drafting the designed 6 anywho, just a thought for next season.

How come none of you MAGAts have discussed Elon Musk giving a Nazi salute, twice, onstage?

I’m not a nazi expert so admittedly I was thinking that motion was the Roman salute and that the Nazi salute (from what I recall in history classes) started more at the head. Apologies for being wrong. -

I acknowledge that they were very much the same. Hand in heart, extension of arm. The difference is the palm. If that’s going to be the smoking gun for calling Elon a nazi and Tim Walz just a country loving yokel, then you guys are grasping. because once again, the nazi salute does not begin with a hand in the heart -
Aside from all the calls, Chiefs did just what they needed to do and now have Worthy playing much better, Hollywood back, and a experienced tandem in the backfield their defense is underrated too at least in terms of not being talked about enough. This is the best version of their team they could have asked for minus Rashee Rice

I don’t know why I’m continuing this convo. Yes, Walz palm is facing out after he extends his arm. As already mentioned Musk is much more animated in everything he does than wet blanket Tim Walz. but the nazi salute does not start by taping or placing your hand over your chest. is it possible, that Musk was simply overzealous and trolling at the same time? -

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFIuFj0OdYi/?igsh=NHA0b2x4MjF5ZnRj In have no reason to defend Elon and I’m absolutely sure he knew this would get attention but I see the only difference being his spastic enthusiasm. -

I think walz and musk were the exact same thing just that walz was more wet rag and Elon was his usual over the top enthusiasm. Where the place their hands to start and where they finish are basically identical -
I would agree that on paper Philly would be the better matchup for either AFC team, but obviously the game isn't played on paper so i'm not sure who i'd rather see advance. Just because the eagles have Barkley and Brown and Smith, doesn't mean much if Hurts can't get on the same page as some of those guys. Meanwhile Daniels seems to be getting the best out of his inferior weapons like Dyami Brown and Zach Ertz. Daniels is probably the 2nd best/most important weapon playing in this game after Barkley, and as a QB could make the argument he's the best.

Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr. reports the Cowboys could “cross the finish line on hiring Brian Schottenheimer no later than Friday, possibly today.” The betting markets appear to have known all along. Just days after it was reported that Schottenheimer was the odds-on favorite to land the Cowboys’ head coaching job, despite having never been interviewed beforehand, the current OC appears primed to turn head coach at any moment. Schottenheimer is the son of former NFL head coach Marty Schottenheimer, whose 200 career wins are good for eighth-most on the all-time wins list. Brian Schottenheimer, who first joined the NFL ranks as a QBs coach in 2001 has never held a head coaching position, and has underwhelmed at his last few stops as an offensive coordinator while with the Rams (2012-2014), Seahawks (2018-2020), and Jaguars (2021). He didn’t call offensive plays for the Cowboys in either of his two seasons as their offensive coordinator. Schottenheimer’s name didn’t emerge in the coaching conversations until people began linking him with the Cowboys. Now, it appears as if he’ll be the successor to Mike McCarthy barring an unforeseen change in plans.

So here is the thing. While I am not head over heels for Aaron Glenn, I do not get why anyone cares about McCarthy. Even talking heads wondering why the Jets didn't interview him... What did McCarthy do in his tenure in Dallas, with lots of talent to work with, that would make him the right guy? If you're the Jets and you plan to keep Rodgers and Adams, you're all in again and you're hoping Rodgers plays like he did down the stretch for a full season rather than taking some time to shake off the rust. You're hoping Woody stops meddling so you don't have your DC have to take over HC duties in week 6. Robert Saleh was not good, but had they kept him and remained stable, with Ulbrich sticking to the defense... I think the Jets would have been a 9 win team. But most importantly, you need to be looking at the future which means drafting a young QB or allowing Jordan Travis to be the guy to sit and learn. McCarthy doesn't seem like the guy for that Pete Carroll? Sure, sign me up. I would prefer someone experienced. Kingsbury would have made more sense... but the Jets seem to be in love with the idea of a former Jet who really wanted the job. Honestly they should have hired Rex because what they need is simply someone who can change the culture, galvanize the team, command the players respect and not back down to ownership. No one looks at Dan Campbell and says he is an offensive or even an X's and O's guru...
