*2024 June Mock Draft No-Hassle Analysis*
WhiteWonder replied to Fumbleweed's topic in The Mocking Station
@Fumbleweed thank you for the analysis, brother. Appreciated as always. I have to give some additional reasoning / process behind some of my picks. (Rounds 1-3) ... Breece Hall - if choosing between Bijan and CeeDee, I may have opted to start WR. Hall put up 1580/9 last year with similarly bad QB play and a worse line, coming off major injury.... Bijan put up 1460/8. That may be splitting hairs but Hall is my #2 for standard. Draft spot also played a big part in it, as I figured the WR's available for me in rounds 2/3 would be more "studly" than the remaining RBs. I believe I was correct as Adams, Harrison and the likes of Evans and Metcalf were above the likes of Mixon, Jacobs, R. White on my board. I didn't see myself leaving rounds 1-3 without 1 RB and I like the trio of Hall/Adams/Harrison more than a trio of Lamb/Harrison/Mixon Zamir White - My least favorite pick as well. Kenneth Walker went right before me and Kamara had the same bye as Hall but Zamir was right in the same tier for me. The issue obviously being the very small sample size. I did debate taking Mark Andrews and picking David Montgomery in round 5 but Monty would not have made it to me and I really had my eye on Kincaid anyway. Jayden Reed - Felt like the upside WR in this range (over the likes of Diggs, Higgins, Cooper, Scary Terry). If I had foreseen myself picking up Nabers as a WR4, I probably would have opted for a safer veteran. -

QB Jayden Daniels, Was. QB Justin Herbert, LAC RB Breece Hall, NYJ RB Zamir White, LV RB Tony Pollard, Ten. RB Rico Dowdle, Dal. RB J.K. Dobbins, LAC WR Davante Adams, LV WR Marvin Harrison, Jr., Ari. WR Jayden Reed, GB WR Malik Nabers, NYG WR Joshua Palmer, LAC TE Dalton Kincaid, Buf. TE Ben Sinnott, Was. D/ST, Cleveland Browns K Jason Myers, Sea. QB - Daniels was the guy I really wanted. I'd have preferred to pair him with a Love, Tua, Goff or even a Dak but Herbert has enough talent that he was worth taking in spite of what people fear will be a very run heavy offense. RB - Getting my consensus #2 back makes me feel good about the group no matter what. Hopeful for continued progress from White and a bounce back for Pollard. I believe Dallas will give Zeke plenty of work but I am hopeful Dowdle becomes the new Pollard and Dobbins was just a dart throw for depth joining his OC in LA WR - For going RB in round 1, I was pleased to pair Adams and Harrison to headline the position. Green Bay might be a three headed monster at WR but I am hopeful Reed becomes the 1A. It felt weird taking another rookie WR but the value seemed right for Nabers who should get fed, especially with Waller's retirement. TE - Expecting a big leap for Kincaid. Would have liked a more reliable TE2 but alas, Sinnott has upside at least Overall, I think this is a team with a lot of upside and a lot of crash potential with 3 rookies playing prominent roles (Daniels, Harrison, Nabers), 3 more 2nd year players in White, Reed and Kincaid. -
16.09 - K Jason Myers, SEA

14.09 - D/ST, Cleveland Browns

fock him. I get it, he got played by Monahan but he will forever be in my mind as the cry baby regarding LIV. Was very happy to see him lose to a LIV guy.

I imagine Brandel drenched in sweat praying Rory beats Bryson

Public speaking skills are important to the presidency for many reasons, including how we are viewed on a world stage. It is far from a non important factor. Dubya was widely seen as kind of a buffoon with and his Pops really running the show. I don't think this did any favors for us for foreign relations. And with Biden we are talking about way more than a simple stuttering issue. I couldn't care less about someone's speech impediment if they otherwise come off as a bright, coherent individual. I would even argue that how one articulates themselves as the leader of our nation is more important than many issues people typically see as important when you consider that so much policy candidates run on gets thrown out the window as soon as they win... or how even the policies they want to focus on once in office face pushback, red tape, other bog downs. The way a POTUS carries himself and presents himself on a global stage is very important as something they can fully control.

First of all, I am not saying a debate winner should be determined by who gets rattled and who doesn't.... hence why I said it may be fair. I am sure you read that part of my post. But lots of other debates have allowed such behavior, so it is interesting to see that change right now. Although I will say, ability to remain unrattled is a quality I would like in my POTUS. I will also say that Trump is also easily rattled, but in a different sense. I guess the overall point is, these are new debate rules, right? Or at least some of them are new? It does not surprise me that the format and rules have been blatantly tailored to what Biden needs to be able to, hopefully, think and speak clearly. You're also saying Biden won the first debate... 4 years ago. As an independent, I can clearly see the cognitive difference in Biden 2020 to current day. Trump is not a lifer politician. So many other candidates are polished politicians because they have spent a majority of their life in the crooked world of politics. They know how to shake hands, kiss babies and we find out about lots of the shady shiit, after their terms are over. Trump is not that. Similar to how a Mark Cuban type would be if running for president. These guys have egos, just like Biden does, but they are business men first, not polished politicians for their parties. Trump is just as suitable to be POTUS as Biden (or as Hillary was). I actually agree he coms off as more of a clown, but you lose me at "incompetent" if you're comparing him to Joe. and no, it favors Biden because Trump is way more equipped to handle a crowd as well as quick witted responses, talking over / being talked over, being interrupted etc. Joe has long been at the point where he needs to be handled with kid gloves and this setup seems as manufactured for him as possible
-
it may be fair but the "rules" definitely favor Biden. Any reasonable person would admit that. Trump plays the bully, antagonizes, etc. Biden gets lost more often than not. It seems to have been specifically set up to be as mild mannered as possible which favors Biden, as Trump would easily rattle him and disconnect the fragile wire inside his head.

Suck a diick, Billy -
13.04 - WR Joshua Palmer, LAC

sounds like a big win for Dems. The mental instability of both men is quite different and I feel like Trump would demolish Biden if he were allowed to talk over / interrupt. Big advantage given to Brandon if he is allowed to ramble uninterrupted.

12.09 - RB JK Dobbins, LAC

Ray can't read. He's old. Somehow he keeps skipping me in the even rounds but then holding me up for hours in the odd rounds last pick was 2AM my time. Just checking in now. -
For better or worse looks like my jobbers have me through to the weekend

I know Jerrah is going to give Zeke plenty of work. I am hopeful Dowdle can be a poor man's 2022 Pollard in the offense. -
the mocking station has a top with list of past june mock winners.

ooof. That hurt as my first snipe. Was very excited to pick Lawrence there and explain how I view him as my QB1, until Daniels steals the job.... Lawrence was fantasy QB7 after week 10 last year. So I am settling for a guy everyone is off of because of his new coach / coordinator and his top target being gone. Perhaps I am reacting to being sniped but the guy has talent.
