im sure there are plenty of people who lie about all of this stuff, but im betting there are those who tell the truth. My 1420 score was using my best scores from the 2 times i took the SAT's, which was allowed at the time.... not sure if that is still the case? I don't even think the SAT's are broken down between math and writing anymore i think there are more categories?? 1420 was 90th percentile for the nation i guess but it was lower from just my highschool. But I went to a very strong highschool. and no, i dont make 6 figures. But im 25.. i'll get there in time.

ok. i wasnt talking about the big names we see in commercials. Those guys have numerous endorsement deals and make up a very small % of people who clssify themselves as "pro's". they are the best of the best and can likely finish in the money in a large % of tournaments they play in. i'm talking about people who try to make a living playing poker. For the most part they are average joes. Basically anyone can call themselves a poker pro. And even good players, as im sure we have some great ones on this board, are not good enough to consistantly cash in larger tournaments. At least not enough to make a good living.

3 kids in my school alone got a 1600 so im guessing far more than 20 get a 1600 each year. but yes, it was just recently changed. I took mine in 2002 and 1600 was max. My score was 1420

you think you can make a living strictly playing in poker tournaments, with no cash games? maayyyybe, but that seems like alot of hours to put in with way more potential for no income. I know more than a few people who play poker "professionally" and none of them strictly play tournaments.

i think its pretty obvious that Tiger doesn't care what some queer on an internet message board thinks. but you do have to admit that Tiger seems to pout and whine about alot. Did you catch him throwing his mini tantrum early in the round yesterday when someone made a noise on his downswing? my biggest complaint with Tiger has always been his attitude. Especially post scandal where he just acts like he deserves everything. Hell, he even said (in one of his scripted apologies) that he felt he deserved the life he was living. and ive been to enough pga events to get a feel for how he acts with the fans in comparison to many of the other top stars. Ive only been to one, post scandal and he was more fan friendly but that is obviously forced.

forgetting the outcome of the tournament and just talking Tiger i still need to see him do something like he did yesterday in a different tournament to proclaim him fully back. His best two tournaments since the scandal have been Augusta 2010 and Augusta 2011. but there obviously were many glimpses of his old fire. His putting still needs a ton of work for his standards. edit to add: i never felt he was going to win yesterday, especially after his lax bogey on 12. Old Tiger, who was strong mentally, would have gone for the throat after eagle on 8. This Tiger pissed away every chance he had on the back 9. he will be back, he will win more majors, KSB will get to enjoy a major sunday with his pants around his ankles again... but i still don't think he passes Jack.

the reason would be the 20%-50% savings i mentioned. if cb isn't looking to save and coin, then by all means go with whatever route. there is no differenece between getting fitted at a retail shop and buying a standard set and having them adjusted later.

While im glad that all the casual Tiger nut garglers had something to watch Sunday, had Tiger not been there this still would have been an incredibly exciting Masters to watch. We had multiple occassions where 5 guys were tied for the lead. Luke Donald even chips in on 18 to get to 10 under. Adam Scott looked very very confident and Jason Day is a shark. I was kind of pulling for KJ Choi, but Charel is a very good golfer and I think we will see more and more of him.

again, you guys who think mid to late 20's represents the prime of a golfers career are stuck in a basketball/football mindset rather than a golf one. Or possibly in a golf mindset from 40 years ago. recent history dictates that a top golfers prime starts in his 30's and can last into his early 40's. Tiger is not done by any means. From my standpoint, im just laughing because its taken way longer than i bet he expected. He is cocky, arrogant, and piece of trash human being. I think he deserves this lengthy drought and possibly to miss Jacks record in the long run. But rest assured, he will win again. His swing is majestical, even when in disarray. and right now he is proving me wrong. Setting himself up well heading into the weekend. looks like i might have a new sig.

yup. and this is often a good route to go. It all depends. like i said before, im a big advocate of doing your homework and buying cheap from a reputable ebay dealer. you can save 20-50% in some cases. but the sets will be standard. so you can then take them to be adjusted. i also want to point out that a good amount of golfers are actually standard when all is said and done, especially in terms of flat v. upright and length. and im not going to lie, alot of shop pro's will suggest very minor adjustments just to sound smart and or hit you with extra costs. Go to someone you trust.

I predict the Jets find a way to keep both. Holmes was tendered a 1st and 3rd (i understand this may not ultimately matter but it shows the Jets interest level). He'll be back in green and white. Edwards is the question mark. It likely all depends on if another team is willing to way overpay him. I think the Jets realize these are two talented WR's who WANT to play for them. And they are crucial in the development of Sanchez. Holmes runs great routes and has clutch hands. Edwards is physical and a good blocker. They each bring things to the table.

combined only 3 of our golfers shot under par.... Phil (-2), Freddy (-1) and Tigger (-1) go figure .... your 50% is much better than my rate but we made some poor picks for day 1 across the board.

its complete misconception that forged is only for better players. Mizuno makes a number of more forgiving forged cubs. There are also plenty of forged cavity or muscle back irons. Granted the cavities tend to he smaller than a cast iron. I would not suggest getting some forged and some cast. Keep the same feelvthroughout the set. Ofcourse hybrids would be the exception.

My range is 77 to 85 at the moment. Recently got Callaway x forged 2009's. Lovevthem. I've always preferred a forged club with a thin look. Afterall, golf is mostly mental. U have to have Comfort in what you're looking down at.

I disagree slightly with cb regarding players shooting 80's and 90's needing game improvement clubs. I think it much more about skill and style than score as a poor short game and putting will not have u breaking 80 but does not at all dictate you should be using "game improvement clubs. Take it from someone who worked in the golf industry for 7 years. Do your homework and find a reputable eBay seller and you can save a lot of money even on a brand new set

i dont think you can go wrong either way but the iphone is simply hyped up so much that the average consumer perceives it to be better. from ipods to iphones to ipads, everyone has to have the latest greatest thing from apple. quality products for sure but my point is, droid doesnt get enough credit. its every bit as good as an iphone and outperforms it in some areas.

I mentioned my favorites in the Tiger thread but i'll give some reasoning for them here. Bubba Watson - contended in last years US Open, and Augusta sets up well for lefties as well as long hitters. You can bomb it all over the place and still have shots. Granted, 3 of the wins were Mickelson but since 2003, left handers have won 4 times Hunter Mahan - I like guys who can make birdies in bunches at the Masters. Anthony Kim would also fall in this category but I dont think hes playing quite as well as Hunter. Mahan also has top 10's in his last 2 Masters. Ian Poulter - One of the better Euro putters. Was in the thick of it early on last year. Justin Rose - Playing well right now and has historically played well at Augusta. If he can have a good 4th round, this might be our winner. Phil - Duh, winning. 3 time winner, loves Augusta, defending champ, winner last week... the lefty bomber thing.... Aaron Baddeley - Just think he is playing like a top 5 golfer right now. and my darkhorse is Ricky Barnes

oh yeah, i was just giving some tips for how to easily extend your battery life. Even if you have a backup battery or two its nice to not be constantly changing. No need to keep active sync or gps active at all times. And another good tip is to reduce the screens brightness. The lowest setting is more than enough. plus not alot of people know about the "bump charge". I understand why the phones work that way, to extend the life of a single battery but even if you overcharge all the time, your battery will likely last longer than your 2 year contract anyway. So its best to just power off the phone and charge it to 100%.
