sux summed it up pretty well... the items are sold by beezid. beezid makes money because customers have to purchase "bid packs" maybe 30 bids for 10 dollars or something. Each bid you make uses one of your purchased bids and it might take 100 bids to finally win the item. You then have to pay the amount of the item you won. So when you win an auction, you are really only winning the right to purchase that item for the amount the auction ended at. you may be winning the item at 30% of face value but it also cost you X amount of dollars in bids as well as anyone else who was also bidding.

when i said the state of golf was strong, i was refering to the amount of very good players we have now both in the states and overseas. Golbal golf is strong and so many players are capable of winning majors. And its not because fields are watered down. Part of it is the lack of dominance of a Tiger or Phil but i think its more that so many players are so good. I completely agree with you that the economic state of golf is down. Sponsors are lacking. And ofcourse, ratings will be down with Tiger struggling because ratings include all of the casual fans who couldn't care less if they can't watch eldick

well alot of spin has been taken out of the equation anyway i think good players can play with any ball really but its a preference and feel thing. I can't stand hard cover golf balls. The kind that make an audible clack when putting. For me, its all about feel near the greens. The ball i play needs to feel soft. I used to love the original Maxfli Revolutions back in the day. Buttery soft. I made the mistake of buying a dozen of a newer "revolution" a few years ago and they were like rocks. The cover was hard and shiny The TP Blacks are a good ball for the price. right. i was more saying that i actually do think the system needs to be looked at. Becuase i don't think a player should ever elevate to number 1 during a week in which they don't even play, Like Westwood did when he initially took #1 but also i am fine with players taking number 1 just by winning a regular event. Thats how crowded it is at the top right now. which i think is a sign of the overall strength of the game, as well as a lack of true dominance.

mmm, thats just the way golf is without any truely dominant players right now. winning a major is the ultimate goal and the world ranking system probably needs to be looked at but winning a major can't be the only thing that gets you number 1 and i feel like a guy who wins a bunch of tournaments worldwide should deserve to be ranked 1, even without a major. Martin Kaymer is the guy closest to the top with the most recent major win. But its not like he deserves to stay number 1 until someone else up there wins a major. If that makes any sense.

haha nice. im a blackjack fan. in AC, ceasars, its any 20 pays off 5-1, suited is 9-1, matched (Jc,Jc) is like 15-1 and if you get matching queens of hearts and the dealer has 21 you get paid off BIG. a year ago around new years time i was up about a grand. went to take some shots, came back and lost it all. i dont play big. 10 or 15 dollar tables. although i often make 20-30 dollar bets. i just dont feel lik being forced into a 25 dollar bet so i stick to the lower minimum tables. So i can ramp it down to 10 a hand if the dealer is cold.

my best bum story is from a few years back. i was going to a yankee oriole game at camden yards and on our way there we were stuck in traffic right outside the stadium. We saw a guy (possibly another bum) rifling thru the pockets of a passed out bum on the sidewalk. As people would walk past, the looter would act like he was trying to wake the other guy up or help him up, and when they passed... he would go right back to robbing him.

i had a feeling the Knicks would no show for this game. Already without Billups and Amare's back spasms, the Knicks were deflated having lost both those close ones in Boston. While this series as a whole has not been great for Boston, it has proved they can win the close games at home and play well on the road and they are not being worn out with a long series. They will be tough for Miami to beat, especially if Shaq can give them some quality minutes in the paint by then.

i would like to see the Jets trade back with a team that wants back into round 1 for a QB. pick up and extra draft choice along the way and have a wilkerson/taylor/houston/reed/ayers/austin type player last until early round 2. Jets need to draft front 7 help. if no trade, any of those mentioned players will do at 30
