I guess this is true for the most part. I would suspect that most people inflate numbers too much. For me, I think the greater concern for not hitting projections is not being able to predict injury. When players get injured other players step in and take their projected stats away. Sorry for not answering your questions.

I don't know much about the guy, but I wouldn't label him as hit by injuries. Yes he missed the 2003 season due to injury caused in a pre-season game, but other than that he only missed 5 games in 2000. Played all 16 games in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2004. Mind you 2004 he played all 16 after missing the 2003 season.
