    QB and RB help

    I'd play Schaub, who's finally healthy and has all of his weapons back. I'd bench Maroney, since you never know what he's going to give you.

    Pick 1 - WR Help

    I have Lee Evans penciled in right now, but the Patriots matchup scares me. Do I put in Mark Clayton or Isaac Bruce? Am I overthinking this? Other two receivers already starting are Hackett and Jennings. Thanks - leave your link.

    Travis Henry Facing A One-Year Suspension

    Actually, the hair test is what caught my interest. After a month marijuana is totally gone from your piss, but it takes 1-2 years for it (and other drugs) to be gone from your hair (weird but true). Hair tests are much more expensive than pee tests, that's why you don't see widespread use of them. Also, the union doesn't allow the NFL to use a hair test on the players, most likely because they're too strict. The fact that Henry is willing to have a hair test taken is meaningful.

    Any hot K emerging ?

    Mare only had one miss last week, a 52 yarder on the first drive of the game. It had plenty of leg, but swung left. The crowd in indy was absolutely nuts, and as he was lining up I was thinking, there is no way he makes this. I can't hold that against Mare. That being said, I dropped him for Hanson. I think NO offense is overrated right now. The Lions O has the talent to move down the field a lot. Even if they get their TDs, there will still be enough FG to go around.

    With the Rams O-Line Crumbling...

    If you're going to sell on Bulger, at least wait for a monster game. He's bound to have one. Right now his value has to be lower than it was during the draft, and is lower than it will be for most of the season. I would buy Bulger if someone was panicking and would take a WR2 (thinking Cotchery/Galloway, not Housh).

    Need RB#2 Help

    I'm in the same situation, trying to decide between Jones and Jordan as my number 2. It would be a no brainer to go with Jones, but the lingering injury is worrying me a little. I'm trying to keep an eye on the news, and if it looks like Jones will go, I'll start him. I'm not worried about the patriots match up, since they're missing Seymour and Harrison. I'm worried that the Raiders will fall behind the lions and have to pass, but then again maybe Jordan will be the dump off for McCown. Clearly, I haven't made up my mind.

    Rate these 4 and why

    Henry Bush Moroney McGahee I have Henry, Bush, and Moroney all very close, but I think Henry has the highest upside (the offense will be built around him). I think McGahee is a step down, he seems to underwhelm every year. Also, I'm a little worried about Moroney holding up over the course of the year. He was banged up last year sharing time.

    David Martin

    In terms of TE sleepers, I like Martin more than Scaife.

    David Martin

    Actually, that's not true. Despite some drops that he is remembered for, Martin has been a pretty efficient pass catcher in his career. Martin did not accrue meaningful statistics prior to 2005, so I'll start there. 2005 - 39 Targets, 27 Receptions 2006 - 36 Targets, 21 Receptions Total - 75 Targets, 48 Receptions = 64% success rate Let's compare that to the two tight ends some are comparing him to, Gates and Gonzalez. Gates 2005 - 140 Targets, 89 Receptions 2006 - 120 Targets, 71 Receptions Total - 260 Targets, 160 Receptions = 61.5% success rate Gonzalez 2005 - 116 Targets, 78 Receptions 2006 - 103 Targets, 73 Receptions Total - 219 Targets, 151 Receptions = 69% success rate Personally, I don't think Martin will ever be a top TE, and both Gates and Gonzalez clearly are. But as long as Martin gets consistent work in that offense, I think he'll be startable (in the top 12). Miami doesn't have much depth at receiver (I heard they're looking to increase Ginn's workload already), and Cameron has said that Martin is definitively the guy at tight end (per rotoworld).

    Culpepper = $$$$$ this week

    Remember, this is the same New England team against which Plummer had himself a decent game. Also, while Daunte has been a bad quarterback in real life, he has been consistently only slightly below average fantasy-wise, scoring 14, 14, and 16 points in my league (which favors yardage over TDs) over the last three weeks. Since the strength of my team clearly lies elsewhere, I will take a consistent 15 ppg from my QB. Maybe I'm trying too hard to sell it to myself, and I know how bad he looked the last two weeks against meager competition. That being said, I still want to start him.

    Culpepper = $$$$$ this week

    I'm starting culpepper this week. New England is 21st against the pass this year, and while they just had a great week in cinci, they might be due for a letdown and look past miami. My other options are alex smith against oakland and losman against chicago. Oakland is 3rd against the pass, and losman is not an option. It flies in the face of convential wisdom, but I think culpepper surprises people this week (but not because it's week 5)

    driver

    I'm thinking of starting marcus robinson over driver... Robinson scored in week 1, hurt himself in week 2, was out in week 3 from said injury, and scored in week 4. Detroit seems like a decent match up, and with ahman having the plug pulled at the very last second, I can't afford to have driver not play. Also, driver did not look good in the second half of last weeks game after taking the huge hit that injured him. And it's a short week from having played on monday night... my instincts are telling me to sit Driver.

    warmer owners (or former warner owners)

    I'm thinking of going with alex smith vs. oakland...
