Just a suggestion on one way to write it out a little more detailed: A. Roster cutdown to 25: each team must cut players until their roster is size is 25 or less, regardless of whether they have fewer than 5 draft picks in the upcoming rookie draft. If a team has more rookie draft picks than 5, they must further reduce their roster size until it is the roster limit of 30 minus their total number of upcoming rookie draft picks. Example: a team has 3 rookie draft picks, they must still reduce their roster to 25 players or less, even though they have less than 5 draft picks. Example 2: a team has 7 rookie draft picks, they must reduce their roster to 23 players or less (30 roster size limit minus their 7 draft picks). B. Roster cut down to "X" ("X" being the roster limit of 30 minus your total draft picks)

And also, probably better to get ahead of this now and have Gypsy be explicit about what the expectations and penalties (if any) there will be for not setting a valid lineup (IE having someone starting that doesn't play that week). I've done it before, it happens - could be laziness/negligence, thinking you hit submit and didn't, setting a lineup on Friday before heading out of town/cell range and an injury happens, even a guy that gets ruled out during warmups or something. When that happens, because it will, lets set expectations now about what the penalties will be. Is the first time a warning, etc...

Man, Gypsybrat, I feel you. I tried to send you a message last week just saying thanks and that I appreciate the work you do (your inbox here is full FYI I believe). I quit commissioning my home dynasty league of 10+ years this season because people can just be exhausting, and this league is worse than that one was. I don't know what it is about this league but there is more unnecessary drama over the years from theoretically mostly grown, adult people than I have seen in any other leagues. I love this league, I am an OG member, I want this league to keep going. I wonder if the random drama that keeps coming up is because people are in it that don't want to be. Man, if that is the case, then just leave. I dont want anyone to leave but I dont want grumpy people mailing it in either because they think they need to. Specific to the dropping players, as long as I can remember its always been drop to 25 (or less if you had more than 5 draft picks). Is this a big deal either way? This is the hill to die on? Focking just drop the players and then pick them back up in FA because nobody else is going to want them. Or let him leave it and not have a fit either way. These players are not important to fantasy football and the outcomes this year. IMO. So personally I dont care which way it is resolved, I will back whatever Gypsy wants to do, and if someone wants to freak out about it, I just dont give any sh!ts about that personally. My suggestion for next year. Have a roster cut down date in place. Explicitly make sure everyone knows what the roster number expectation is. And have the commish drop players off the teams that dont meet it (based on KTC or some other neutral valuation site). But all that can be figured out in the offseason (if people actually show up during the offseason, which is getting more and more rare).

Speaking of broken you might just want to hope your ancient and injury-prone group of RBs hold up and not worry about hoarding QBs so much. You know you can only start one per week yeah?
 -
Nice! I didn't know that worked that way, cool.

If you look at the Draft Results page, Prof Stats still looks focked up for his next pick FYI. Says "Pick will be automatically made for this franchise as soon as they get on the clock." Do with that what you will lol Everyone else ahead of them says "Pre-draft selection made" - not sure why his is different is all.

After I picked at 3.12 in the Live Draft Room, I noticed it said something like Pick Skipped for the next pick, and skipped 4.01 and went right to 4.02. Thought that was pretty weird. I think I know why though, it looks like Professor Stats did not drop enough players for all of his picks and is sitting at a full roster, so I assume that is why the CPU skipped his pick?

I'm entertaining offers for the 1.02 pick. Jeanty will be gone but your choice of Ward, Hunter, Tet, Hampton, etc is a great place to be. I'm willing to move back a few spots into the middle-ish rounds and pick up some future draft capital, if anyone is interested. Shoot me some offers.

	Doesn’t bother me

If anyone has a glut of QBs, I am looking for a backup QB behind Lamar for me. I don't want anything premium, just a solid vet that is a locked in starter, a QB somewhere in the QB12-20 ish range.
 -
I saw it and rejected it, I sent you an email (or I tried to - I replied to the email that MFL sent me, it looked like it was going back to a personal email address but who knows where it ended up) - I'll shoot you a DM here too.

Personally I'll vote for whatever keeps the most league members happy on the roster thing. I think what we have has worked fine, and we have really deep rosters in this league anyway so I don't see any problem dropping down to 25. If your 26th player is so good it hurts to get rid of them, your team is probably doing just fine IMO. We're getting a little worked up about Sincere McCormick and Khalif Raymond types here aren't we? I still want to get rid of kickers and defenses but I think I'm in the minority on that one.

Thanks for getting the new year site setup and going! No issues with the new owner, sounds great to me. August 1st is not good for me, but I can set my auto-draft. I'll have pretty limited cell service on Aug 1 and probably no cell service after that until the afternoon/evening of the 3rd. Starting on Monday the 4th would be much better for me, but honestly if starting on the 1st works for everyone else then I don't have a problem with that.

This is what it looks like to me. The reverse order of standings from last year (based on the end of season Accounting post): 1. Professor Stats 2. El Padrino 3. Team Bumble 4. Dream Wreckers 5. Peaces 6. Kat Fancy 7. Conrad's Bitches 8. Infidels 9. Ski Colts 10. 4077 11. Retired Samuri 12. Neckbeards The list of future draft pick trades can be found here: Fantasy Football: Die Nasty Dynasty Future Draft Picks Notably for 2025 1st round picks: Neckbeards has El Padrino's pick (#2) Peaces has Ski Colts pick (#9) 4077 has Retired Samuri's pick (#11) These should all come over automatically when the new league site is created on MFL and these are imported.

Counterpoint, I like that the rosters are locked between the end of FF season and the FF draft. There can be free agents that rise in value during the offseason and I think its better those players are available in the FF draft as opposed to whomever picked them up first during the offseason. But I would agree that as soon as our draft is over lets start having waivers run every Wednesday or whatever it is, dont need to lock it after that IMO.

	Thank you! Payment received!
 -
I am also good to pay next year and get paypal'd the rest.
 -
Thank you all, it's been a good run for the Neckbeards after alot of bad years. We're taking some time to enjoy our championship and then back to the grind. We've joined some of the league's greats by going back to back, but nobody has done 3 in a row yet, so we're staying hungry and motivated.
 -
I would have no problem with that.
 -
Haha yeah, pretty last minute too. With the injury questions during the week I wasn't sure what his workload was going to be even if he did play. So I knocked that decision out of the park lol Not like I was short on flex options - but it will probably cost me the week, thats how these things go

This is also just personal preference, but I would prefer if we formalized the draft day as something like "The first Monday in August" as opposed to August 1st. Again, just a consideration for the weekend and people more likely to be gone or have less availability. I dont know that it is ideal if Aug 1 falls on a Sat or Sun to start the draft then.
 -
I like skipping the pick in principal. My argument against it is that if the owner is truly MIA or quits, it makes it that much harder to get someone new to take the team. Outside of that consideration, I am all for skipping the pick. I would be in favor of only having the clock run during common hours and stop over nights and weekends personally. I think that can be configured in MFL so the commish is not having to start/stop the clock manually. I don't think it impacts me a ton either way, but if there was a time I was going to be out of cell range it would be over a weekend camping. I am fine with the 24/7 clock but its just not my personal preference.

I have reached out to a couple of people this morning that might be interested in taking over a new team. They are not FFT or FBG people though, hope that is ok. Dynasty veterans though. My feeling on all this is that replacing him is for the best. I like the idea of putting better guardrails up in the future. I understand that life happens, but its unfair to the rest of the league to have an owner that checked out. Of course we have enough time before the season starts, but we all probably have other leagues and other things to do as well. But it really means, if they can't even show up to draft, that we have a team that is probably not going to be engaged in trade talks, probably more likely to not set a lineup, etc. For me a big part of the enjoyment of dynasty is engaged owners throughout the year, including the offseason. If Taco has some life things going on, I wish him the best. In a dynasty league I run, we have an "ADP -5" rule for missing a pick. Its less punitive than missing a pick entirely but is still not good for the team missing the pick. We sort the available players by ADP and then take the 5th one down, regardless of positional need or anything else. Just a thought to incorporate going forward. @devilwoman - I also hope you change your mind over the course of the season. I have enjoyed having you in the league, we have had some good trade discussions and back and forths and overall I think you have been a great addition to the league. @Gypsybrat - I think you are doing an awesome job man. Its a tough and thankless position alot of the time. I appreciate you and I appreciate the way you handle things. This is not your fault, this is an owner that went AWOL. I thought you communicated very clearly throughout the process. I hope this doesn't sour you on being the commish.

My first pick is 3.12 Someone trade me a pick!
