Same here. Our votes have always canceled each others out in the past 30 years of marriage. No divorce. No domestic violence. It's weird how people can simply have different opinions about some things.

I just watched the original one. I agree that McAvoy would do a good job and even looks similar to the original actor. What parts did you think were disgusting and needed toning down??? Seemed pretty mild in the grand scheme of all the focked up sh1t I've seen in other movies. I was expecting much more since you're the dude that recommended The Sadness. When the manager came I was able to hear her complaint, and I must say I'm on Team Ka’requah. Sounds like she ordered Old Bay Wings, but when they arrived they didn't have ANY Old Bay on it. Definitely wouldn't order that myself, but yeah the Old Bay is kinda expected if the menu calls them Old Bay wings. Bonus points for the southern black lady way of saying "If they are having a bad day then I pray for them". Is that the equivalent of the Midwest "bless your heart?"

Definitely give it another go. Yeah the pacing is a bit slow since a large part is watching the killer stroll through the woods, but the kills are very creative.

Catching up on horror movies while killing time on a biz trip. "Revenge" - first movie from director of "The Substance". Incredibly stupid with ginormous plot holes but I like her directing style and good cinematography. Copious amounts of blood and extreme closeups like The Substance. Oh and the ass on the main actress is AMAZING!!! "In A Violent Nature" - has some really interesting kills. My wife would hate this movie for 2 reasons: she's not a fan of horror and she hates Lord Of The Rings because all the focking walking. This movie has both!

Phantasm is definitely a focked up movie. Who doesn't love flying death balls, the Tall Man, and weird inter dimensional Jawas? Don't hammer me if my recollection is inaccurate. I haven't watched it in decades.
