I dealt w about 8 random BSODs yesterday. I was up until 2am waiting for a memory scan to finish as I knew IT help desk would probably do that first thing. I was relieved to wake up to the news that Crowdstrike focked up, as those dipshi1ts are part of the corporate image on our laptops. So what's the difference between an evil computer virus taking down systems globally and an anti-virus software company taking down systems globally with a "bad update"?

Everyone else that uses Spotify probably already knew this, but today I was messing around w settings and changed the audio quality from the default "auto" setting and changed it to "very high". Damn. I'm surprised at the difference. Listening to albums I've played countless times before and it's like they are brand new to me. I never realized all the details I was missing. I guess I had just assumed "auto" would go to "very high" when on wifi or good mobile. Obviously not the case. Just a heads up in case others are as retarded as me.

The argument concerning location on Pacific Rim is an excellent argument for maybe 50+ years ago. With the advancements in air travel/shipping vs old timey steamer boats not so much. For face to face meetings what's another hour or two for important business meetings? There's also this new fangled gizmo called the interwebs which folks can use for real time video conferences from the other side of the globe! Absolutely crazy but it's true!!!! One could even use this invention for near real-time c0ck fighting on low trafficked message boards no matter where you are physically located!!! It's also great for business correspondence as mailing stuff internationally in the old days was so slow. Now California has a ton of ports for imports/exports which are shipped via the Pacific. This is 1000% true. I would think that odds are pretty good that these business men which move their HQs out of CA might just have a plan on how to deal with logistics. BTW, it's not like big corporations which have left your state have their shiny HQs right on the docks to facilitate this crucial proximity to Asia.
