Never heard of it, might check it out.  Libs of Tik Tok said you should cancel Netflix fyi

FFS.  Is it possible for you to NOT inject politics into EVERY. FOCKING. THREAD.?

I decided to start frequenting this cesspool again for non-political threads as I enjoy talking music/TV/movies with the rest of you dipsh1ts and then you have to go ruin it.

  2. I enjoyed it.

After I watched the first episode by myself I had my wife watch it in case she wanted to watch it together.

I 100% thought she'd pass so I was SHOCKED that she actually liked it.  She usually doesn't go for that kind of humor.

Just the method in which they tell the story. It's told from different view-points and then at the end you see how it all kind of comes together.

You might like Strange Darling if you haven't seen it.  That movie used a non-linear approach so you don't really know what is going on until all the pieces are revealed.

Just finished watching "Final Destination: Bloodlines" on HBO Max...  Damn that was a really good film...

Agreed that it was surprisingly good.

Lots of good "oh sh1t" splat moments and the filmmakers obviously had fun w it.

With Toni Collette. Watched the first episode last night. It gave me subtle Twin Peaks vibes. There’s also a tranny, if you’re into that sort of thing.

    Anybody watching?

    Another tranny thread? 🌈

Nice. Was never a fan of Exodus, Yngwie could be interesting. Only recs I would have are Death Angel, Dying Fetus, and Turnstile(I don't really listen to them, but look like a good live show). 🤘

Never listened to Exodus myself either but my buddy says he wants to check them out.

It's a tossup for me between Death Angel and Fear Factory.  Never listened to either and both play at same time on different stages.  Kerry King follows Fear Factory on same stage so might just camp for that.  I'll give Death Angel a listen though and might check them out.

Edit: @Herbivorelistening to Death Angel now.   Me likey 👍

I have never really heard of or listened to these guys, but my nephew is apparently a fan so I'm going to this with him tomorrow

    :bench:

What did you think?  I've seen them a few times.  People watching is always a blast. Can never have too many sluts parading around as naughty nuns.

ohh, give a Testament review as well. They're a great band. Fun fact Primus guitarist Larry Lalonde is on Possesed's Seven Churches, considered by some as the 1st Death Metal album.

Aftershock next Friday and Saturday.  Unfortunately Testament plays on Thursday so I won't get a chance to see them.

Now that I know the set times I'll probably catch the following.

    FRIDAY:

    Kerry King

    Bruce Dickinson

Exodus or maybe Yngwie Malmsteen for a bit.

Lamb of God - saw them open for maybe Rob Zombie.  Entertaining enough.

    A Perfect Circle.

    Dream Theater

    SATURDAY

    Gojira

Korn - surprisingly good when I saw them tour with Rob Zombie

Nobody else excites me so I'll go see whoever my buddies want to watch.

  9. Definitely pointing out my age based on the thread title, but you know what I mean.

If you are cut off from all music and you only had one album to listen to what would it be?

Definitely a hard decision but I'd probably go with "Fear of a Blank Planet" by Porcupine Tree.

How about the rest of you?

Edit: no Greatest Hits compilations. :nono:

  10. Got tickets for the wife and I to see Trans Siberian Orchestra in November.  Never heard anything from them aside from the following song:

I've heard that it's a good show.  Has anyone here seen them?

I understand that the show has a ton of rotating musicians.  Singer-wise it's cool that Russell Allen from Symphony X is apparently still in the rotation.   He's a damn good singer, and I saw him in concert a few years ago, so hopefully he'll be part of the show we see.

And I thought you were banned. 😀

I did get a timeout thanks to you so I've avoided this cesspool for the most part. I only log in here and there to talk about music with @Herbivore and just now with @Fnord.   Those are definitely MAGA guys. 🙄

Aside from your coont response please enlighten us how a twat making his asinine remark on MSNBC doesn't reflect poorly on MSNBC.

It wasn't the MNSBC anchors, it was analyst Matthew Dowd.

During a broadcast following the September 10, 2025, shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd suggested that the fatal shot may have come from one of Kirk's supporters firing a gun in celebration
. The comment was widely condemned and led to a swift apology from MSNBC.

On MSNBC though.    you are a focking stupid coont.

  13. Upcoming shows...

    NIN

    Blood Incantation

    Steven Wilson

Aftershock Festival.  Bands I care about: Dream Theater, Gojira.  Maybe Testament.

    Between The Buried And Me

Edit: Saw Sessanta 2.0 a few weeks ago.  Puscifer / APC / Primus.  Wasn't too familiar w Primus aside from a couple of songs but HOLY FOCKING SH1T is Les Claypool amazing on bass!  Didn't matter that I didnt know the song, it was just mesmerizing listening to him play.
