    Need quick help please!

OK here's the deal. I live in MA and am a Pats fan. That being said I am trying to decide between DeSean Jackson and Laveranues Coles. Before you say it's a no brainer let me point out that we get points for individual return yardage and touchdowns. They score the same as a RB or WR in yardage and TDs. So I got Jackson with a pretty favorable matchup and Coles who seems to be doing pretty well. My tendancy is to go with Jackson, but I don't know if my feelings for the Pats are jading my decision.

    WW help...

I am #1 in the waiver wire list which is totally based on claims and never resets. So the question is, do I drop Randy McMichael or Wali Lundy and pick up Chad Pennington? So it's a two part question, the first is if I should use my waiver wire status to get Pennington, and the second, who do I drop? We have to start 2 QBs in my league so I know he will get picked up off of waivers tonight. What do you think?

Who gets a better deal in the trade.

I think you're right when you say that this improves your team on the field. In my league Bush is a little more valuable because IKRs and IPRs score the same as rec/rush yards and TDs. On the surface it looks like a bad deal, but when looking at your team, I think it's an improvement. I'm big on Culpepper so I believe Chambers will have a great year. Thanks for mine!

    Alexander Trade Offers

I agree with the general concensus that they are both bad deals for you. You gotta stick with SA. I had the option to keep Edge from last year and decided to keep SJax instead. A RB is only as good as his OL and the Arizona OL has historically been one of the worst! Please help me!

Need trade help, will return favor

I agree, I don't like this deal at all. I think your WRs look pretty good. Especially with the number of times Brad Johnson looked deep to Williamson last night. Parker is too valuable. Please help me!

    WW help...

I should probably say, the main reason to get Pennington would be to put the hurt on the other teams that need a starting QB. Then maybe I could trade a QB for a studly WR. In our league the WRs are a dime a dozen and there are still several quality WRs available on the WW. Last year I picked up Santana Moss in week 4 off of waivers.

    blockbuster trade

I think you made out in this deal. At worst it's even. I wish I could get those types of deals offered to me! Please help me!
  8. Mr_Ruger

    Did I just screw myself?

The short answer is yes. Why would you do this trade? It really makes no sense to me. If you can get a do over, I definitely would! Please help me!

    Defensive team....

You gotta go with S.D. Not only are they good, but the Titans are really bad. Please help me!

    Should I make this trade

I would not do this trade. Especially with the arrival of Branch to Seattle, Hasselbeck will put up points and he'll be more consistent than Pennington.

To Trade or Not To Trade

I like this deal. I think Caddy is better than Edge and I agree that McNair will be a great backup which you obviously need desparately right now. Don't read too much into the first week's games, Gruden's offense will find a way to move the ball and Caddy isn't competing with anyone for the position. Just a side note, I had the option to keep Edge this year and passed so that's how much I think of his potential this year.

Need a QB Really Bad! Please Help

I would definitely stop dealing with that guy as it seems he's trying to take advantage. However, if you can cut a deal for McNair, I think you would do pretty well. Otherwise, Kitna is probably the best WW pickup. Good Luck!

    Please help!

I posted this about a week ago. thank you to everyone who responded. I just wanted to check again as our keepers are due today. Obviously I had been planning on keeping Edge all year, then the trade. Am I better off with SJax?

    Wildman's Wednesday Sessions

I'm sorry, we start 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and 1 flex (RB, WR, TE). Also. RBs score the same as receivers for receiving yardage and TDs. Thanks for the help. I was already leaning towards SJax, but I really like Edge too and have had him on my team for the last 3 years. Just kinda tough to let go.

    Keeper decision!

OK here it is. We are allowed 1 keeper for 1 year only. Any player, any position. The whole year I planned on keeping E. James. His move to Arizona concerns me greatly. Everyone is still very up on him however it has me wondering if I should keep Steven Jackson instead. I also have Trent Green, but really don't see him as a keeper, however we start two QBs. Please help!

    Wildman's Wednesday Sessions

    OK here we go. I am in an 8 team keeper league. 1 keeper for 1 year only. Our scoring is very complex but bonuses are applied for BIG plays (ie. a 99 yard touchdown run would score 21 points) and penalties for BAD plays. Also, individual punt and kick returns can count better than receiving or rushing plays. Here's the scoring: QBs Pass Completion 20+ Yards: 1pt Pass Completion 40+ Yards: 1pt Passing Interception: -2pts Passing TD: 6pts (+1pt 25-49yds, +1pt 50-74yds, +1pt 75+yds) Passing Two-point Conversion: 2pts Passing Yards: 1pt for every 25yds (+1pt @300yds, +1pt @350yds, +1pt @400yds, +1pt @450yds, +1pt @500yds) RBs Rush for 20+ Yards: 2pts Rushing TD: 6pts (+1pt 25-49yds, +1pt 50-74yds, +1pt 75+yds) Rushing Two-point Conversion: 2pts Rushing Yards: 1pt for every 10yds (+1pt @50yds, +1pt @100yds, +1pt @150yds, +1pt @200yds, +1pt @250yds, +1pt@300yds) WRs Reception of 20+ Yards: 1pts Reception of 40+ Yards: 1pts Receiving TD: 6pts (+1pt 25-49yds, +1pt 50-74yds, +1pt 75+yds) Receiving Two-point Conversion: 2pts Receiving Yards: 1pt for every 10yds (+1pt @50yds, +1pt @100yds, +1pt @150yds, +1pt @200yds, +1pt @250yds, +1pt@300yds) Misc. Offense Fumble Lost, Including ST plays: -2 Individual Kick Return TD: 6pts (+1pt 25-49yds, +2pt 50-74yds, +3pt 75+yds) Individual Kick Return Yards: 1pt for every 10yds (+1pt @50yds, +1pt @100yds, +1pt @150yds, +1pt @200yds, +1pt @250yds, +1pt@300yds) Individual Kick Return TD: 6pts (+1pt 25-49yds, +2pt 50-74yds, +3pt 75+yds) Individual Kick Return Yards: 1pt for every 10yds (+1pt @50yds, +1pt @100yds, +1pt @150yds, +1pt @200yds, +1pt @250yds, +1pt@300yds) Place Kicking Extra Points: 1pt Missed Extra Point: -3pts Field Goals: 3pts (+1pt 40-49yds, +2pts 50-54yds, +4pts 55-59, +6pts 60+yds) Missed Field Goal: -1pt (-4pts 1-9yds, -3pts 10-19yds, -2pts 20-29yds, -1pts 30-39yds) I'll spare you the defense and special teams scoring as it is even more complex. However, based on this information I have two questions. Do I keep Steven Jackson or Edgerrin James? And this one may seem basic but I just not sure, are QBs in this league more valuable than RBs seeing whereas we need to start two and the scoring structure? Thanks for the help.

Help me make my first pick. Pick #4

OK here's the deal. These numbers are from CBS Sportline, but should help. And just for the record I have SJax and am probably keeping him over Edge, however, my pick is 8. *numbers in () are average draft position Peyton Manning (2.15) hasn't been drafted lower than 5 and has been as high as 1. After Johnson (2.12), Alexander (3.72), Manning (2.15), and Tomlinson (4.27) the site shows Tom Brady (6.09) to be the next most popular going has high as 3 and as low as 11. The next highest ranked RB is Clinton Portis (8.47), going as high as 4 and as low as 14. But really, regardless of what the site says, I think it's kind of obvious that you gotta get Manning if he is available at 4. Please help me!

Keeper League w/ 1st Pick... who?

I have both Edge and SJax and can only keep one and posted a similar question regarding who to go with. The majority seem to favor SJax and although all summer I thought I would keep Edge, I've seen them both in the preseason now and I'm really leaning more towards Jackson. At least you pretty much know you're getting at least 1,000 yards and 8 TDs as long as he doesn't get hurt. And with him and the upside from those stats could be HUGE. I'm talking 1500+ and 12+ TDs. Especially if the Rams truly are committed to the run this year and no Marshall Faulk and he's a third year back, just a lot of upside (and just my opinion, but guys on turf seem to get better numbers, until they get injured ). Then you have James, we know what the peak is and we are pretty sure he won't get there (in 2000 he rushed for 1709 yard and 13 touchdowns, and had 594 receiving yards with another 5 TDs). However, the downside for James could be big. If their defense still sucks, they'll be playing from behind alot and possibly abandoning the rush. There QB issue is still an issue ( ), until that gets figured out (Warner is definitely not the man, you gotta worry about his injury woes, Linart just got to camp, and Navarre hasn't shown the ability to throw to his teammates and not to the other team) James may not be as successful coming out of the backfield. And the main reason is the offensive line sucks and have for years. I don't know, Arizona just scares the hell out of me. Hope that helps. Please help me!

    caddy vs. brown

I guess I'd have to say I can't offer any advice without knowing how many players you start at each position and if you have a flex or not. If you start 2 RBs and 2 WRs without a flex, I'd keep what you got. However, I'm assuming you start 2 RBs, 2WRs, and 1 RB/WR. If that is the case I think I'd make the trade and go for Williams. Although Brown is very good, I think Williams will get just a few more yards and TDs. Hope that helps. Thanks for mine!

    Roy Williams Value

Tough call. CBS has his average draft position as 51 overall. Low/high is 36/61. I think these numbers show that the general concensus is correct that he is a late 4, early 5 pick in a 12-team league. Please help me!
  22. Mr_Ruger

    tell me what you think

100% correct. You need quality WRs, but you don't have enough depth at RB to keep you going or make a trade for it. Your only shot is to try to deal A. Smith for a WR. Good Luck! Please help me!
  23. Mr_Ruger

    Rate my draft

You are in serious trouble my friend. Is this your first year or is this a joke? Glenn in round 4? Brady isn't that good either. There had to be good RBs available when you took him. If I were you I'd punt and start planning for next year's draft. Seriously though, you're only shot is to trade away Brady for a top notch RB if you can get one. Please help me...(I think... on the other hand, never mind)

    Trade Help...

Any way you can offer Jamal for Chambers? I don't like giving up JJ. Chambers is a stud, but I'll take a RB over a WR any day. Especially with the flex position. If you need to deal early, I'd deal Taylor or Lewis because I think their stock will decline after the season starts. I think you can get more for JJ than Chambers, even more so after the season begins. Please help me!
