See ya, Tommy-boy // Coughlin resigned

U act like last year's Patriots interception at the one yard line wasn't flukey/ lucky?

See ya, Tommy-boy // Coughlin resigned

Terrible Analogy. Dilfer was a piece of that puzzle. A head coach has to deal with all of those pieces. Coughlin is in his 70's, so I doubt he will be pursued or if he cares to coach. He was the best coach in that sorry azzed division of urs... hands down.
  3. Just to revisit the 3 QB draft strategy topic...... This was the ideal year to use it. I had Big Ben, Rivers, and Cousins. Traded Rivers when he was hot for Allen Robinson and Woodhead to the Manning owner (standard league) and it panned out well for me.

    Any Geeks Lease their Vehicles?

10,200. I offered 8,400 and they jumped on it. Still Pisses me off wondering if they would've taken 7500 for it. Still a steal from researching on NADA and Kelley Blue Book. I actually offered them 9500 for it but said I'll give u the 9500 with all the taxes, dealers fees included. So in actuality, they sold it to me for 8400 on the invoice.

    Any Geeks Lease their Vehicles?

I love my pickup. Im always hauling stuff around in it and would be lost without it. I was in the same boat. My pickup is paid for, killing me on gas. 3 weeks ago I picked up a 2006 jaguar with 77,000 miles on it for 9500 bucks. Dropped 5 grand cash on it and financed the 4500 for 3 years. My payment is only 130 bucks a month and will be paid off early. Did 4 months of research before buying. If u hit up www.autolist.com on the innerwebs it will show u the vehicles u are searching for and the amount of days its been sitting on the lot. Its a great tool to use for haggling with the dealership if u would like to buy instead of lease.
  9. Cabbage on the grill (for something different) 1.Cut a whole cabbage into separate wedges 2. Put a slice of onion on each wedge 3. Wrap bacon around the onion and wedge to keep the onion in place 4. Wrap the individual wedges separately with aluminum foil 5. throw on the grill and close lid for about 45 minutes at 425* - 450* You will know they are ready when the cabbage is soft by squeezing with the tongs when removing from the grill Salt and pepper to taste Enjoy.
  10. Top 10 QBs get hurt too. (See Peyton Manning) If every owner in a 12 team league drafts 2 QBs, there's 24 gone. If your backup was Cutler, Dalton, or Eli last year...You were fukked. All Im saying is if you are fortunate enough to have a couple extra solid backup QBs in a 6pt per TD league, you are better off pulling a mid/ late season trade with a solid QB than u are with an Andre Brown/ Brandin Oliver type player. I don't know any league winners who had cutler or Eli on their championship squad either.
  11. And Ive never been in a league where a guy won and had Teddy Bridgewater as his starting QB.
  12. Ive noticed that owners who draft elite QBs like Manning, Rodgers and Brees wait really really late before grabbing a backup QB. If they get hurt, Its usually and Alex Smith type of guy that they have to fall back on. I try to carry at least 3 if not 4 decent starting QBs on my roster throughout the year. For instance, Matty Ice may be my starter and I will carry Flacco, Dalton, and Tannehill for trade bait. You would be amazed at some of the trades you can pull off with a decent QB you carry on your roster. Especially in 6pt TD leagues. Hell, Even the guys that draft Rivers or Romo will offer good deals if injury succumbs and one of your backup QBs has good back to back weeks.

    Getting Old Sucks

It did that for me as well. (lasted about a month) After my body got use to it, that feeling went away

    Getting Old Sucks

The older u get, the harder it is for ur body to digest food. If ur farts are rank, its because ur food is not digesting properly and the "stank" is food rotting inside of ur body. Take a daily probiotic and u will see a huge difference in smell. U can get this over the counter at any grocery or pharmacy.

Healthy geeks. How did you learn to eat better?

I didn't read this as a diet post, but to eat healthier post. The solution is simple....... When u go shopping, stay on the perimeter of the grocery store. All of them are set up the same way. On the perimeter u will find fresh fruits, veggies, dairy, meat, breads, and health care items. DO NOT go down any of the aisles. They are littered with chips, candy, and cookies that tubbys like u love to eat. Try that for a month. If can achieve this, ur next step should be to get more active. Join a gym, buy a treadmill, or sign up for a recreational bball, softball or volleyball type league. Starving urself, dieting, or getting a trainer that will kill u, never works.

    What's the point? Fantasy rant

Fantasy GM............Real Life GM.............its all the same. (basketball, football, hockey, Olympics, pro, college, or high school) U assemble a team, U have a great season, U blow it in the playoffs. That's sports, and that's gambling. If u don't like it, don't play.
  17. At the beginning of the year, those in redraft leagues who drafted in spots 8 thru 12 were discussing the stud Wide out theory. I was one of those dumb@sses who bought in to the madness. My team finished 5-8, I snuck in the playoffs and am now in the championship game due to blind azz luck. For those of u who went WR/WR in rounds one and two.....how did u fare? and would u do it again? My answer would be a healthy Fock no! What about U?

Revisiting this year's WR/WR redraft strategy

What was your regular season record? FYI, I had Calvin and Dez

    DST- Chiefs or Texans?

KC's defense falls apart every time this part of the year. Houston D is the no brainer choice.

    Knile Davis or Lacy ROS

Quite possibly the worst thread Ive read in years.
  21. Its my main league, we have the following roster set up. 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Kicker and a defense. QBs get 6 points for TDs and are awarded bonus points for every 30 yds of passing. Needless to say, the top 4 QBs go quickly. I have never not drafted a RB in the first couple of rounds in the past and was some scary sh!t to say the least. I was the #9 pick outta 12 teams. Here's how the first round went... 1. Jamal Charles 2. Peyton Manning 3. LeSean McCoy 4. Matt Forte 5. Drew Brees 6. Aaron Rodgers 7. Adrian Peterson 8. Eddie Lacy 9. Calvin Johnson (Me) 10. Jimmy Graham 11. Matthew Stafford 12. Demaryius Thomas Here is the breakdown of who I picked round to round 1st Calvin Johnson 2nd Dez Bryant 3rd Ryan Matthews 4th Matt Ryan 5th DeSean Jackson 6th Joique Bell 7th Maurice Jones Drew 8th Kyle Rudolph 9th Mark Ingram 10th Brandin Cooks 11th James Jones 12th Steven Haushka 13th Tampa Bay Defense 14th Brian Hartline Anyway, for those of you who havent drafted yet, I thought this was a good way to show you either how to/ how not to draft from the 9 - 12 spot. Glaring weakness is RB obviously. Feel free to chime in with any comments.
  22. Dragan187

Did the WR/WR thing at last night's draft

DeMarco Murray, Giovani Bernard, and Doug Martin - GONE by the time it came back to me. It was pretty much a decision between drafting Dez or going with an Arian Foster/ Alfred Morris/ Zac Stacy kind of player.
  23. Dragan187

    Going WR/WR in Rd 1&2

Which is my point, IF you cant get one of the top 5 RBs. This should only be a strategy used for guys drafting in the 9 - 12 spots. Quite honestly after the top 5 RBs are gone, its all sh!t from a RB standpoint to me. I understand that there is great value in later rounds for WRs, but why let all the great ones slide down to the guys that already got a top 5 RB just because you wanna grab a second tier RB?
  24. Dragan187

    Going WR/WR in Rd 1&2

You should only go WR/WR if you can land a combination of any of these wideouts Calvin Johnson Demaryius Thomas Dez Bryant AJ Green Julio Jones Brandon Marshall Your RBs would be slim in rounds 3 and 4. Reggie Bush/ Joique Bell, Andre Ellington, Ryan Matthews, Chris Johnson.
