  1. At this point, I almost like Gore over Westbrook especially considering durability. That said, I think either would command the Bears DST in return, especially if their owners needs help at RB. I think you're giving up a lot for in Gore and Rivers, considering what you're getting in return. Thanks for answering mine!
  2. I'm worried about Stallworth's prospects with McNabb going down. Do I deal Brees for TO and rely on Brady the rest of the way or take my chances with Stallworth? Thanks and be sure to leave a link.

Welcome to my RBBC hell -- J. Jones or C. Brown?

Thanks for the encouragement. You're right to question my WR corps. I was "boxed in" on both my Hasselbeck and DJAX picks and really didn't want either, particularly where I felt forced to draft them. Same deal with Walker. We have a one man keeper league (Jones for a seventh rounder) and set up our draft a little differently in an effort to promote parity each season. After playing for the championship last season, I got the short end of the stick with my early picks this season (overall #11 and #23 before snaking begins in the third round).

    Chris Henry

I wholeheartedly agree. If I didn't have a couple long-term "projects" on my bench at WR, I'd snatch him up and start him this week. Add the way Palmer is tossing the rock and you've got a great one week plug-in option. Plus it's already Friday and he's not been arrested yet this week. Bodes well for him to be in Bengals stripes this week and not the "other" stripes.
  5. This is sort of like the death row inmate having to choose his preferred method of execution -- both options are equally scary. Do I go with Jones against a banged-up Jags D or with Brown versus a non-existent Jets defense? At this point, all I'm looking for is a guy who'll get 15+ touches. Any thoughts are appreciated and please leave a link.

    DEF/ST Help

Just a humble suggestion, but you may want to post questions like this on the "Who Should I Draft, Start..." board in the future. I'll still take a crack at it though... This is a tough one since none of your options sack the QB (easy points). If you received points for low yardage-low score, I'd grab the Browns in a heartbeat against a rudderless Texans squad. The Broncos are an option as they've been solid in the takeaways column, and they're going up against a dinged McNabb who hasn't been himself the past two games-- consider the Broncos your safe choice. My high upside-high risk choice would be the Chiefs. They will likely get lit up by a vengeful LT2 this week and they're sort of middle of the pack in takeaways, but Dante Hall is always primed for a return TD. Hope this helps and GL!

Tampa Bay Bucs Intro for their Website

Totally agree! I think his starring role in this little bit may qualify for SI's next This Week's Sign of the Apocolypse box...
  9. Maybe the school and parents would be more interested in a Terrell Owens presentation?

    R. Moss role increases

Yeah, great pick this week. He MIGHT ONLY drop 3 balls this week. You can't be serious about that Gabriel comment. When has Moss not taken time off, even when he played every play? An increase in plays is great, which shows he is getting healthier. With selected targets, he should have a good game this week, ala-Priest only getting X number of carries and plays, this makes him effective in his targets, not as a decoy 75% of the time. Here I am, try and stop me. I was referring to the fact that Gabriel has STONE HANDS. Not sure what the rest of that nonsense had to do with my post. Think he was referring to MUGS' post, not yours.

    What's up with Ricky Williams?

Honestly, what did Saban have to lose bringing the guy back for peanuts? With Brown performing reasonably well in an unbelievably mediocre offense, why "showcase" a subpar Ricky, risk no team being interested in a guy who bailed on his team for the love of weed (shocker!), and have to pay your #2 RB #1 RB dollars when the season is over? Saban's giving him enough carries so Ricky is game-ready if Brown goes down, while at the same time trying to keep Brown's legs fresh for the remainder of the pro season.

    Andre Johnson !

Depending on your kicking situation, you might consider taking a flyer on him for Akers, but I'd caution against letting Horn or Bryant go, and I think Bryant is pretty bad. The Texans' offense has been AWFUL. Dom Davis is truly the only bright spot. Carr is averaging less than 130 yards per game in the air and less than a TD per game. We're talking sub-Joey Harrington numbers here! Maybe Carr rights this ship and Johnson gets reasonably healthy and contributes, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I miss Melissa Stark on MNF. Ever since she left, the sideline reporters have been awful (and not nearly as attractive).

    Boldin status?

Think you might be giving Ms. Pac Man a little too much credit. All I've seen of him today is a takedown interference penalty when he got beat like a rented mule near the end zone and a decent tackle on a Boldin reverse (where I think he closed his eyes and threw himself to the ground, tripping Boldin in the process).

Who's drinking the Brandon Jones Kool-Aid?

I've so bought into the hype that I was trying to make deals so I would HAVE TO insert BJ into my lineup! I REALLY wanted to start this guy! Couldn't get anything done so it's C. Johnson, A. Boldin and T. Glenn with BJ watching longingly from the bench.
