Pushed the draft start date back a week. Hopefully we get everyone and we can draft on the 11th of August.

We have 4 missing... Ski Colts (Bier made contact so most likely good for the season) Prof Stats (he posted mid July so should know draft was tentatively set to start on the 4th) Conrads Bitches (Taco Breath) - Made his cuts at the start of July. Other than that, not a peep from him. Has not logged into FFToday since Dec 4, 2024 Die Nasty El Padrino - Last logged into FFToday on the 24th of July. Other than that, no communication. I guess I will give it until later this evening.....if nothing changes I will push the draft back a week and start it on the 11th

Just looked at their profiles.... El Padrino last logged into the site on July 24th. Ski Colts last logged in on July 1st.

No draft day acknowledgement from Ski Colts & Die Nasty El Padrino yet. Start the draft on Monday the 4th of August, or push the draft to the 11th of August?

I just updated the website to show cuts & fees are due on the 26th. Draft is tentatively set to begin on AUGUST 4th - if that don't work for you, speak up now!

My apologies Beer, I basically judge the reactions and conversations to proposed changes and if I find the motion has engaged the league I will put it up for vote. I will put this one up for vote and we can implement it the beginning of next year if it passes. One thing we need to discuss though before I make the vote/poll. Does this work both ways? Meaning, if I have 30 rostered players and have 7 draft picks, do I have to cutdown my roster to 23?

The roster size we have to cut down to at the beginning of each year has nothing to do with the draft. Every team has to have the same amount of rostered players at the start of the league year and we chose 25 to be that roster size.

Extending the Waiver Wire through the end of the playoffs will be for EVERYONE, not just teams in the playoffs. Only fair way to do it. And starting the draft on Monday sounds good. So August 4th looks to be the frontrunner for the start of the draft.

New League Site is up ( I was lazy and used Bigtraine's standings for draft....) I have a replacement owner for Dream Wreckers. He has been in our home league (Me, Sux, Infidels are in that league) for a couple decades. Good guy and reliable. We were Co- Commissioners during the News Paper Days! Any issues for anyone with that? I think the allowing of drops/adds through the entirety of the playoffs is a given and will change that. The roster cut down to 25 change to dropping only the amount of draft picks you have needs to be discussed. The roster cut down number is NOT solely for the draft, it also helps balance teams. I am hesitant to mess with something that has worked for 20 years. Once the draft is over, we can open up Waivers and you can fill your roster spots then. We need to set a date for the draft. Typically it is at the end of July. August 1st looks good to me being a Friday.

I will look into seeing if we are able to do just drops and trades....but I doubt we will be able to without adding players as an option. Looks like we are in agreement on waivers running through the playoffs though. That will have to apply to all teams, even if they are not in the playoffs. Notice I am a week late in responding to this!! I am not in football mode much during the offseason, and sure dont want to have to check this bored every day.

If I recall, the reason rosters are locked is so this is not a year round league. I kind of like that.
