  1. That is just flat-out incompetence there. As a Raider fan I hate all referees, and don't care if we ban them and go to full-time cameras. At the very least these asshats need to devote the entire season to this job, I'm talking studying film, doing round tables, brainstorming in the offseason to get this s*** right. I get bang bang calls are tough, but Baseball umpires get them right all the time. Not comparing the two sports just the bang bang calls. There's no way the referee should be able to keep his job after blowing that call.

  2. The thing is, the belief that the AFC East has been the worst division in football is more perception than reality. It was true this season, but in the previous 9 seasons, the Bills, Jets and Dolphins actually had the 2nd best winning pct in non-division games compared to the #2,3 and 4 teams in all the other divisions. Even factoring in this season, they're still 3rd.

Ha ha ha just stop it. In the last 13 seasons that New England has made the AFC Championship Game, the combined record of the other AFC East teams was 275-365. That's a winning percentage of .430.

In that same span, the Patriots division record was 64-14-2. In no year did New England go worse than 4-2 in the division. It's a winning formula- a bye week followed by a divisional home game in January against a team which played the previous week.

  3. Chiefs running game in this Andy Reid offense is being underrated and overlooked. Damien Williams has stepped up huge. I agree Pats will flood the middle to take away Kelce. Stephon Gilmore will have his hands full outside with Hill. Chiefs have other weapons as well, Watkins et al. The key is the KC QB, and his ability to create. You just can't game plan for what he does. Unless the Chiefs defense just gives up points in droves I can't see this being easy for New England.

Is it true KC has never lost an AFC Championship game at Arrowhead?

Just calling it like I see it.

  4. I watch a lot of college football, as I'm sure some of you guys do too. Of course, I enjoy the energy the young fellows bring to the game, but I am also scouting for future FF prospects. I record/watch all of the Bowl games.....even the no-name Bowls, for that same reason.

A handful of guys have stood out thus far, but only one has jumped out.....RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn from Vandy. He has it all. Great size (215), vision, burst, and long speed. The kid hasn't gotten a whole lot of fanfare, playing for the Commodes, but quietly leads all collegiate runners with 7.9 ypc (157/1244/12 this year).....and, as a Junior, has only 375 collegiate carries total, so he is still fresh. He also hasn't fumbled the ball all season. In the Texas Bowl against Baylor (yes, I understand that it was Baylor) he went 13/243/2, including 3 runs over 60 yards. They weren't just wide open holes you could drive a truck through either....he made it happen.

Being a Junior, he hasn't yet announced his intentions for next year, but if he does declare for the NFL draft.....jot his name down, and make sure he is on your fantasy team next year.

Have always trusted your takes. How's his hands as a receiver and his work in pass pro?

    Raiders need a running back.

  5. The fact he isn't practicing doesn't bother me. Dude is smart, knows practicing will just aggravate the knee. He did say if they had a Thursday game he may not have made it. The thing I like about Gurley is he's tough.

As for resting him for the playoffs... the absolute MUST here is getting a first round bye. Not just to rest Gurley's knee but the fact most teams that get those byes advance.

The Rams need this game, and would hardly take chances with an untested rookie RB if Gurley had any shot of going. He held up last week, has had a week of rest, I think it's a positive situation.

Like we have a choice anyway.

  6. I don't know, but the Rams just lost 2 in a row. If he's healthy he's gonna play a lot

This ^. Dude was hurting last night. He was very slow getting up from that last TD plunge, and limping around the field as it was. But the Rams are in desperation mode. Especially with his backup now out for the year. This dude has played HUGE dividends on the first overall pick, that is certain.
