    CBS Sportsline ruling on INT/FUM?

Anyone know how Fanball scores it? Our league has a playoff bid literally hanging in the balance.
  2. Okay, let's be clear here . . . there's a human phenomenon called age. Tom Brady: 30 years old Peyton Manning: 31 years old Carson Palmer: 27 years old Ben Roethlisberger: 25 years old Derek Anderson: 24 years old

With no Chambers, who gets the most looks?

I keep hearing that Ginn is the No. 2 and Hagan the No. 3, but is there a credible source for this? The depth chart on Dolphins website has Hagan starting for Chambers, and the depth chart on this website (not updated to account for the Chambers trade) has Hagan as No. 3 with Ginn the No. 4. Personally, I look at this situation and see the Bengals WR corps in 2002 with Ginn playing the role of Peter Warrick and Hagan playing the role of Chad Johnson. Needless to say, I grabbed Hagan. In fact, I'm putting him "on fries" (our league's term for grabbing a guy off the wire and inserting him into your line-up).

    J Wright

I watched the Pats-Browns game on TV, and Wright looked great to me.

Horrible Waiver Wire in my league

I like Gado of the players you listed. Also take a look at Antonio Pittman and Pierre Thomas. Some experts had Pittman ranked as the 3rd best RB in the draft (behind AP and Lynch), but he was let go by the Saints in favor of Pierre Thomas. I have a gut feeling one of those RB's may emerge from nowhere and take the fantasy world by surprise (a la MJD, Domanick Davis, Droughns, et al.), partly because I don't believe that either Bush or Leonard is cut out to be a #1 back in the NFL.

Who are YOU going after on waivers?

    Antonio Pittman.

Steven Jackson Out With Groin Injury

I'm one of the S-Jax owners who lacked the foresight to obtain Leonard. But I'm not that worried. I have a feeling that if this drags out, Antonio Pittman will become the main ball carrier with Leonard taking the passing downs.

LJ wants 40 carries versus the Vikings.

But I believe in this case he would have gained the yardage regardless of whether the wide receiver committed the holding infraction, which occured 10 yards off the line of scrimmage in a situation where a legal block was an easy option. The commentators suggested as much as well.

LJ wants 40 carries versus the Vikings.

For the LJ owners who did not see the game, he had a long run where he nearly scratched the end zone, but it was called back for holding.

LJ wants 40 carries versus the Vikings.

Since YPC is the question, let me point out that LJ's current YPC (3.8) is greater than Gore's (3.6) even though LJ has faced Houston (2-0) and Chicago (2-0) while Gore has faced Arizona (1-1) and St. Louis (0-2). Plus, if you take away Gore's 43-yd TD run, he only averaged 1.9 YPC against the Rams. Maybe I don't fully grasp the hyperbole on this board, but what could be more ignorant and fickle than saying of LJ (the number 2 fantasy back in 2005 and 2006): "[H]e sucks."
  11. In a semi-desperate attempt to uncover a waiver wire gem before the breakout game, I've acquired Roscoe Parrish. Does anyone have any insight into his game or opinions on his prospects? The information on him is surprisingly scarce. I picked him up on the following reasoning: (1) he had 8 targets last week, compared with 7 for Lee Evans; (2) he's been a play-maker as a return man, which is where Steve Smith first made noise; (3) Buffalo is desperate for play-makers; (4) last year was essentially his rookie year, as he missed the start of the 2005 season with a wrist injury; and (5) he and Kevin Everett were also college teammates, which I count as an inspiration intangible.

    Ronald Curry

So who was throwing the ball in 2004 when Nate Burleson tallied 1,000 and 9? In fact, when Culpepper had a career high in passing yards (4,717) that year, Moss had only 767 yards receiving.

    Waiver Wire Gems

Domanick Davis ('03) and Reuben Droughns ('04) are two RB's who come to mind.
