For All You Playoff Teams Out There

I'm the seven seed in my league, going up against the two seed. I should have a pretty good chance this week of pulling off an upset, as I'm going with: Grant vs. OAK Rudi vs. STL Kolby Smith vs. DEN I'm leaving Travis Henry (vs. KC) and AP2 (vs. WASH) on the bench, due to them being less favorable matchups compared to the other three. This is the first time all season I've had multiple RBs with good matchups; the timing couldn't be better for me.
  2. 0.5 PPR; 1 point per ten yards receiving or rushing. Who's the better play on Sunday, Ward vs. CHI, AP2 vs. NYG, or Henry (likely splitting carries w/Young) vs. OAK? Leave a link and I'll respond to yours.

    I started with a 63 point lead...

My team was up 40 pts. going into this game; thanks to Moss, my opponent pulled ahead before the game tonight reached halftime. Argh.

Is Dallas Clark good to go for this week?

Dallas Clark (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday. He is not on the Colts' Week 11 injury report. Clark has been medically cleared to face contact after sitting out Week 10. He should be in fantasy lineups this week against the Chiefs, as the Colts will need to use him often with Marvin Harrison's status still in doubt. Source: colts.com

    Rudi?

My first two draft picks this season were Rudi and Travis. I can only laugh because I don't want to cry. Thankfully the rest of my team has stepped up and kept me in the hunt for a playoff spot at 5-5.

No love for Chris Henry in projections

If Henry goes off on Sunday, I'll be OK with that. In fact, I might start him as a flex since my RB options suck big time.

No love for Chris Henry in projections

I'm a Henry owner and I'm putting him on the bench for this week to see how he does, only because I've got some other strong WR options this week. If you really need a WR this weekend, though, I'd go for it and plug him in, as I think Cincy's going to air it out since they likely won't do much on the ground (see Steelers).

    Worst Crummy Trade Offer

Whenever I get a lowball offer for one of my stud players, I just counter with a lowball going the other way. Doing that usually keeps others from trying to do the same thing to me the balance of the season. The one that made me laugh the most (two seasons ago): Oakland's defense for Peyton Manning (when QB's in our league were still getting six points for a TD pass). I countered with Anthony Thomas for LT2; the guy spent the rest of the season offering his benchwarmers for studs on other teams, so that strategy worked for me.

***** The Offical What Do You Need On MNF Thread *****

I'm up by four points at the half, and my opponent has Derrick Mason. He should get a bunch of garbage yards in the second half. So much for gaining any ground in my league this week. Edit: All I can say is, Thank God for Steve McNair. This Bud's for you, "Mr. QB who can't complete a pass longer than five yards".

    NBC Should Stick to Football

I'm old enough to remember 20-30 years ago when all these (probably the same) climatogists were predicting that we were on the verge of a new ice age; now it's the other way around and we're all going to drown from the glaciers melting. Make up your minds already, idiots. I'm sure things haven't changed that much in twenty years (which isn't even a relative blink of the eye when compared to how long the Earth has existed), but yet we're supposed to believe that it has? Yeah, right. Pushing the global warming agenda nothing more than a way for scientists to keep their research grant dollars rolling in, along with promoting their anti-capitalist agenda. Twenty years from now it will be some other doomsday scenario that will provide these scientists with their job security.

    Which WR From Houston?

I've won two in a row with Walter as my flex player; I'd recommend him.
  12. Just curious what you all think Ocho would garner in a one-for-one trade, especially for a RB? Edit: Oops; wrong board. Sorry. Mods, feel free to delete this post.

    Desperate Times.....

Thanks for the advice - BTW, I'm in a PPR league and I have to start two RBs.

    Desperate Times.....

My RB options this week are: Rudi - likely to have limited PT (if any) against Pittsburgh; Travis H. - bruised ribs Michael Bennett - still learning the TB playbook Ouch. The only other RB on my team is Julius Jones, who's on a bye week. I can pick up either Chester Taylor or Chicago's version of Adrian Peterson off waivers; which back would be the better pickup off waivers, as I will probably drop Julius to do that. Thanks in advance.
  15. I was up ten points going into the night, with it coming down to Clark on my team vs. Reggie Wayne on the other. Wayne's performance was enough to put my opponent up by about four points until Manning called Clark's number there at the end. I was convinced it was a loss right up until that point, as I thought the Colts would just run out the clock, but fortunately for me the FF Gods were in my corner this week. I also played Cotchery this week; I wouldn't have even had a chance to win last night if it hadn't been for his Hail Mary catch on Sunday. I definitely caught my share of breaks and then some this week.
