    Alexander the Great

I couldnt agree with you more, especially from a fantasy point of view. Just like all of us Alexander owners, I have played the season with one less bench spot. I was patient as his return kept getting pushed back. I took him 1st overall in our draft because he didnt miss games. From a fantasy point of view he was the best before the start of the season....LT has slowed late in the last couple of seasons, LJ had a new coach, fullback, and no Roaf.... After an 0-5 start in my league, I have managed to overcome huge injuries, win 5 of last my last 6, and pull within 2 games of the 4th place playoff spot. If number 37 will reward all of us who kept him around all season with an Alexander type finish down the stretch I will have a great shot at winning a 4th straight championship. Take notes from teams that have a stud and are doing well....LT, LJ, Gore, R. Brown etc And look at teams that have one and dont use him...S. Jackson, K. Jones, Tiki etc----these teams are struggling or starting to struggle Im done begging, just give him the damn rock

Romo....The best QB in the NFC?

SLOW DOWN, BACK UP, AND DONT USE PROBOWL, MVP, AND ROMO IN THE SAME SENTENCE ...PLEASE! WE WONT KNOW HOW GOOD ROMO MIGHT BE UNTIL AFTER AT LEAST ONE FULL SEASON . First, I am a life long fan of the Cowboys. I bleed Blue and Silver so Im always a little biased. I am not a homer to the point of sounding like a football idiot though. As an unbiased NFL observer I do believe he will lead the Cowboys to a playoff birth...the table is set perfectly. But dont overlook the fact that Romo took over an offense with a top 5 or better reciever tandem, a stud tightend, a decent 1-2 punch running game, and a talented defense that puts the offense in pretty good situations. (HMMM...Reminds me of a recent Steeler team when Big Ben took over... Ben looked great, but now Pittsburgs defense has struggled, no more 1-2 RB punch, and he lost his 2nd reciever....Big Ben isnt so Big this year with media and fans calling for BATCH to start!!! Wow!) Romo's situation is just as good as Bens was, maybe better with the Cowboys remaining schedule. Come on, Ben Rothlisberger isnt close to an ELITE QB in the NFL yet, and he is the only successful QB that I would even try to compare with Romo at this point. ALSO, with the exception of a crazy game @ Carolina, Romo has not and will not face a really good defense. Philly may be able to fluster him but the rest of the defenses are struggling or beat up. The Cowboys as a team are playing well and the are HEALTHY...Alot of NFL QBs could have similar success if put in Romo's current situation. Cowboy fans should be optimistic.. **ROMO HAS TO DO ALOT MORE THAN HE HAS SO FAR TO BE A DECENT QB IN THE NFC** McNabb has been the best until the 05 and 06 seasons, where it looks like Andy Reid's non stop air attack may already be taking its toll. McNabb's demanding roll in that offense has noticably fatigued him around the half way point of the last to seasons and may be partly responisble for his injuries. Even with that Romo has alot to do before being compared to McNabb. Drew Brees and Matt Hasselback are pretty solid qbs and have been pretty consistant over the last few seasons. Rex Grossman deserves an argument as well if he can produce down the stretch. Vick, Favre, Delhomme, and even Bulger have also had stretches where they were playing at a high level like Romo is now. ****ITS CRAZY AND IGNORANT TO CLAIM ROMO AS A TOP QB ALREADY. I do love the cowboys so..... As a biased Cowboys fan not concerned with the reality of the NFL, I think Romo has the skills, the mind, the coach, and the "QB intangibles" to be a top NFL Quarterback. I think he may quickly become the best NFC East QB. I think he is already better than Eli. The Redskins will end up trading or signing Bledsoe, Plummer, Huard, or Kurt Warner (hahahaha.) McNabb has showed signs of decline after his 4 year run to not win a Superbowl. He was great in those years, but maybe that took its toll. I think McNabb is injury proned for the rest of his career in Philly. I HOPE AS A COWBOY FAITHFUL THAT MY PREDICTION ABOUT NFC QBs IS ON THE MONEY...but I know the NFL all too well to try to seriosly predict the future. ROMO MAY NOT BE THE BEST QB BUT THE COWBOYS CAN PLAY WITH ANYONE RIGHT NOW...LOOKOUT No one ever knows what will happen but it sure is fun trying to predict. dd
  3. Dallas did a pretty good job on defense, but Carolina definitely helped them out with plenty of drops and miscues....Steve Smith's head turns to jello when he plays Dallas (ejected last year, dropping punts and balls today)... Watch out for a revitalized offense in big D...as soon as Romo settled settled down he was money. T.O. and Witten should thrive. Terry Glenn, you are officially one of the best #2 reciever in the NFL. Cowboys have Carolinas number right now.

    Go HORNS!

Oh yeah...the pokes do look good... Nebraska is a fraud too....played Texas tough in Lincoln in some crazy wind and weather. OSU will probably give UT all they want. I dont know if I could stomach watching Ohio state crush WVU or Louisville in the championship game...A week 2 rematch between UT and OSU would be a far better game. just my 2cents ps...who do you like between OU and OSU this year...hmmm

    M. Vick - WHOAAAA!

Vick will continue to have a good year...but WAIT, defenses have been gameplanning for one of the top running attacks. Defensive coords are pretty sharp and I expect a slight change in strategy that will keep Vick somewhat in check. He has a couple of soft matchups the next two weeks before he meets the Ravens Dfense. Definitely a top 10 QB lately and for the next couple of weeks. my 2cent

    Go HORNS!

Horns will play the winner of the OSU/MICH game for the National Champ... I still think that WVU and Louisville are frauds...one will get exposed this week. Go Horns

What's up in Denver RB land?

Ive been watching the Denver RB's like a hawk. Nobody expected Mike Bell to get that many touches or that much production. Everything I read up to kickoff said that Tatum was "THE GUY". If you look at the numbers over the past 4 weeks it looked as if Mike was strictly a back up. Maybe Tatum's toe was acting up???
