    CHRIS CHAMBERS - STATUS

http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/10/22/...rn-to-practice/ Looks like he was limited in practice today. That's gotta be a good sign though.

who else feels like giving up!

Lots of leagues do double-headers at different times throughout the season.

    Lendale's 80 Yard Run

It was the fastest 2 minutes in football.

    Andre Johnson = Beast.

Agreed. Him and Fitzgerald will both be top fantasy WRs for years to come. Here's to hoping he stays healthy though.

Change you made Sunday AM purely on gut feeling....

Not a big move or anything, but I put in Joey Galloway over Lance Moore, as my #3 WR. I also have Hilliard just in case Joey doesn't play. It's a bit of a risk, but just a gut feeling. Luckily I'm playing the worst team in the league this week, so hopefully it won't matter too much.

Yawn. Does wiffleball ever post about anything else? We get it. You hate the guy. Can we please move on?

    Lendale White

The Titans will use Lendale a lot more this week than they have the last 2 games. Minnesota and Baltimore are not teams that you can pound Lendale up the middle with any success. KC on the other hand, is. I think he'll get 15-18 carries with a good shot at a TD. I think Chris Johnson will see 15-18 carries as well and may get close to 100 yards on the ground. With the Ravens and Vikings behind them, both Titans backs will be good starts from here on I think. People who think that Lendale is suddenly irrelevant based on the last two games are not looking at the whole picture here.

    Justin Fargas

244 rushing yards per game? Is that total yards? That can't be right. I haven't looked it up but Indy doesn't even give up that. Plus they held AD in check on Monday... Ok I just looked it up and the Saints rank 16th against the run and give up 107 yards per game on the ground.

    Chris Chambers

I've been wondering the same thing, and I went to the Chargers.com forum to see what I could find out. Suprisingly I had to look back to page 3 or 4 to find anything about Chambers. Seems like there is a surprising lack of news about it considering people were saying that it could be a season-ending injury (and the fact that he's been pretty good fantasy-wise this season). I did find this though http://www3.signonsandiego.com/stories/200...95228/?chargers That's good news for those like me expecting the worst.

    How bout them Titans

Ok so you haven't. Now I know how seriously to take your opinion. Since when is a ball-hawking defense with a great running game and dominant line play boring? Do you actually like football or do you just like it when a team wins a game 51-48? That explains why you named the Broncos as a team in the AFC you think are better than the Titans. I realize this is a fantasy football website but I thought most people actually had an appreciation for the sport before they started counting their points every Sunday.

    How bout them Titans

Have you actually watched any of the games? They've dominated every opponent on both sides of the ball with the exception of the Ravens. Their average margin of victory is 12 points, almost 2 TDs. And that average would be much higher if not for their 3 point win yesterday. That's good. They also have a top red zone offense and have scored TDs instead of field goals which was their problem last season. Wouldn't any team be beatable if the opponent could score a few more points? The problem is actually scoring a few more points, which no team has been able to do on this defense. I don't see the Bills comparison. The Bills have been trailing late to the Rams/Raiders and then got destroyed by Arizona. The Titans have really only trailed in the 2nd half vs. Baltimore. Beating Baltimore was a quality win on the road. Go ask Schaub, Frerotte, Garrard, and Carson Palmer if the Titans are dominant. Once again they didn't dominate the Ravens, but they took everything the Ravens had on defense and came back and won the game. Like I said saying they don't dominate games is beyond uninformed and you obviously have never watched a minute of the games this year.

    How bout them Titans

Let me say this about the matter. The Titans 2008 offense is better than the Ravens 2000 offense. Obviously the defense isn't quite to that level yet but they have given up the fewest points in the league currently. That defense is an elite unit and may be the best the Titans have ever fielded. Both Finnegan and Griffin have 4 INTs. They have the best defensive player in Haynesworth, and a beast on the outside of the line in Vanden Bosch. And don't every forget that the team as a whole is very well-coached. The team had a circus to contend with aboutt he VY situation at the beginning of the season and Fisher handled it flawlessly, and the Titans continue to take care of business every Sunday. The Titans of 2008 (right now) are a more complete team than the Ravens were and are more balanced IMO. Please don't put words in my mouth because that Ravens defense is a historic unit and the Titans aren't at that level. I'm just saying as a team the Titans are more balanced.

    How bout them Titans

As bad as everyone thinks the offense is they've put up 17, 24, 31, 30, 13 points which isn't bad at all. Couple that with the fact that the defense has only allowed 10, 7, 12, 17, 10 points then you realize why people are excited about the team. And VY will not be re-inserted unless injury or ineffectiveness from Collins. As bad as Kerry was yesterday he came through in the clutch big time and won the game. They may have certain situational packages where Vince comes in but Kerry is the starter. Say what you want to but they've beat the teams they are supposed to beat and in convincing fashion. It's tough to win on the road, but they've done it twice now. They beat the Bengals handily who hung with the Giants and Cowboys this season. The Ravens are a tough team who will be tough to beat in Baltimore all season long. That defense is VERY good. I will take a win in Baltimore no matter the circumstances. And right now there isn't a better team in the AFC. Indy has had to have miracle comebacks in their only two wins and got beat at home twice. Jacksonville was overrated by everyone everywhere. Garrard has reverted back to his old form (after getting paid) and losing Stroud was a huge blow to that defense. Buffalo hasn't been impressive trailing in the 4th quarter to two of the NFL's bottom feeders in St. Louis and Oakland and then getting hammered in Arizona. The Broncos have given up an average of almost 400 yards a game and got steamrolled by the Chiefs of all people. As I said earlier the Titans have beat the teams they're supposed to beat unlike all the teams I've just mentioned. That's the difference. The closest two teams right now in the AFC are probably Pittsburgh and New England. Though if the Titans haven't beat anybody New England certainly hasn't either. Pittsburgh has impressed me but they are beat up right now, but I think they atleast have a bye week next week. Before the season everyone thought the Titans had a tough schedule. Jacksonville was a playoff team, Minnesota could go to the superbowl (= ), Houston was an up-and-comer. That just goes to show you why we play the games every Sunday.

    steve slaton/ahman green

I don't think people understand football around here sometimes. Steve Slaton is not the type of back you feed 28-30 times a game. You especially don't do that to a rookie, that is the best way for him to end up on IR. Plus Ahman Green was relatively effective. Live with it.

    Which QB bounces back?

It may not be this week, but the Bengals/Browns game (week 4) may bounce both of them back. If you remember the last few years there has been some ridiculous offensive output in these games. I'm pretty sure that game last year made Derek Anderson's career so far. I'd be wary of facing any Browns/Bengals next week...
  16. Umm....injured Titans never travel on the road games. If they are definitely out they won't make the trip.

    Titans D

I actually drafted them in the 16th round after I had already drafted the Redskins. Well I liked Tennessee's matchup better week 1 and I can't see myself starting Washington over them now except on their bye (which the Redskins have the Rams at home ). The sack numbers should be high all season, but they especially harassed Schaub last year. In fact I'm pretty sure they knocked him out of both games against Tennessee. I could see 7+ sacks again vs. Houston this week. As someone said Haynesworth didn't have a great game at Cincy last week, but he should be back to normal which is bad news for the Texans O-Line.

    Tennessee Homers

Agreed. If Haynesworth plays then temper your expectations for Palmer and Perry definitely. If he's out, then they both may have great days. Haynesworth means that much to our defense.

    Tennessee Homers

Albert has said he's going to play...that's about all we can give you. In my opinion Fisher is just being cautious. In the last few years it's been shown that concussions can screw you up for the rest of your life and are not to be taken lightly. Here's a link which should encourage all Titans-Defense owners... http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../809120382/1027

    Travis Laboy, Arizona's DE

As a Titans homer I can tell you that Laboy is a very good pass rusher, but he gets pushed around in the run game a lot so he was mostly a part time player for Tennessee. I didn't realize he was getting time at LB in Arizona He's had trouble with concussions in the past and he's a little injury prone. But very solid, and he may be coming into his own.

    Titans Homers

As some already said it's not Thornton that is pulling Keith's stats down it's the D-Line. Haynesworth, Vanden Bosch and company are so good at stopping the run that Bulluck never gets a chance. However, I was at the game and he did miss a few tackles on MJD screen passes.
  22. Gotta love the week 1 overreactions. To put this back into perspective this is his first game in a new offensive system. Did you honestly think he would put up 275 yards and 3 TDs? Norm wasn't the problem? It's way too early to tell. I believe Norm Chow was not an NFL quality offensive coordinator, but can we atleast let Vince play in Heimerdinger's system for more than 3.5 quarters before we make a judgment? What I did like was that they took a shot deep on more than one occasion, something Chow would've never done. Vince displayed some nice accuracy on those throws I thought and a group of more competent wideouts would've hauled a few of those in. And for those who watched the game you would've seen the Titans receivers let their QB down by not making a play on more than one occasion. But don't worry it wasn't just the WRs because Lendale dropped one that hit him in the chest too. Vince does need to mature and cut down on the INTs. He needs to consult with McNair on how to handle the booing and what not. The greatest thing about Steve was that he was completely unflappable. I've heard receivers say that he reacted to a 3rd down dropped pass in the exact same way he reacted to a 50 yard TD pass. Steve never let the fans or anything he did in the past affect his current play, which was one of his greatest qualities. But with the defense playing as such and a strong run game I feel confident in the Titans going forward, be it Collins or Young at QB.

TEN HOMERS - Rob Bironas - Should we be worried?

    I like this version better...

TEN HOMERS - Rob Bironas - Should we be worried?

That's the way Jeff Fisher does almost every preseason. Unless injured, the starters play the most in the 4th game. He doesn't like the starters basically having 2+ weeks off before the regular season.

TEN HOMERS - Rob Bironas - Should we be worried?

Jeff Fisher said before the last preseason game that Bironas was ready to go, but was only held out as a precaution. We have to be careful with our best player.
