Why wouldn't Plummer be a good fit in Dallas?

I am pretty sure that Plummer has a huge contract tagged with him and would be expensive for any team to sign. He also will only be a back up no matter where he goes so I can't see that many teams interested in him when there are other qbs out there and the draft still yet to be determined.

2007 CBS Sportsline fantasy football product...

Sites such as Yahoo and CBS usually open their seasons aroudn the same time. I think last year it happened around the NFL draft, but I could be mistaken. I know that they will not be open any time really soon. I would just keep track of new teams and trades on paper or perhaps Word.

  5. In addition to the fact that Dunn is not a big td producer, I would rather see the Lions give Calhoun a chance than Dunn...objectively speaking.

    Early 2007 Fantasy Draft

Didnt think that my post would generate so much interest..very cool. Now on to the responses: First of all Randy Moss is a bum and if in Oakland, which he still is, he is a number 3 fantasy receiver at best! Secondly, Jacobs is the man as of right now and until that changes will be the most hyped back headed into the fantasy season. He has the build of a Steven Jackson and has the proven ability to score in the redzone much like Alexander. He is also young and has very few miles on him. Whether or not the NYGs think he will carry load is somewhat moot right now cinsidering how early it is in the season. I can also thank Scott Engel over at ESPN for the early Jacob's hype (he has him going 12th, but states he could go much higher in many drafts based on the NYG's outlook). Also, I still think that Willis McGahee and Michael Turner will be number 1 backs somewhere else, just my opinon, and if so, propels both of them into the top 15. Finally, keep in mind that a lot of these managers, me included, strive to get 3 starting RBs as we start 2 and a WR/RB flex spot. This is why you see few WRs taken in the first 5 rounds, compared to other leagues, in addition to an injured QB like McNabb falling so far. These guys also have tendencies, as we all do, which are not obvious to many of you. Just to let you all know I took down this league last year, see my signature, and have the 9th pick for 2007 (Noles). Keep the comments coming and I will continue to update this list as much as possible.

    Early 2007 Fantasy Draft

I recently did a 5 round fantasy draft by myself for a league I have been in for a few years. I did not take into consideration any of the rumors that are flying around about particular players. For Example, Michael Turner being a number 1 back somewhere else. Willis McGahee being on a team other than the Bills. Notice though that I do have Brandon Jacobs as a top 10 pick becuase, as of right now, he is the man in NYG. 14 Teams Traditional/Standard Draft No PPR No Keeper/Auction Yearly Draft 1. Madden Curse: 2008

    And move McAllister up
  9. I would think that Detroit would draft Joe Thomas, as expected, instead of trading for damaged goods (ie Warrick Dunn). Dunn is not an upgrade from Jones and even with Jones supposedly out until midseason I do not see them doing this. They need help on the O-line in the worst way. Passing on Thomas would be a disaster.

Houston Texans to make more blunders?

Unless Cleveland trades their pick away I am pretty sure that Peterson is a lock there, but then again Brady Quinn has expressed a big desire to play there as well. As a current Colorado resident I do not see this trade happening. I am pretty sure Plummer will be released and looked at as a Joey Harrington type of player; that is one, who has proven that he is not viable starter in the NFL. As for Tatum, yes he could be traded, but not for the price of a first round pick even with the addition of Plummer. If the Texans need an RB and Peterson happens to be there, which he probably won't, why wouldn't they take him? Isn't the risk reward just as equal if not higher than Bell? Houston would be stupid to make this trade.

    Early 2007 Fantasy Draft

ooops didnt see walker there twice and as of right now jamal is still with baltimore...1000+ yards and 9 tds isnt a bad 3rd round pick I am also basing this on tendencies some of these managers have...for instance candymen will always take a young guy instead of a proven vet....ocb always drafts 3 rbs 1st...etc
  12. Yeah I do not see this happening for a few reasons. 1. The biggest name the Bears are trying to trade is Thomas Jones and Philly is in no need of a RB. 2. The Eagles entire offense is based around McNabb and Westbrook running the show. 3. Stallworth is probably not going to be an Eagle next year which makes the WR position the most needed one for the Eagles. As a Bears fan and Chicago native, I would love to see McNabb return home to lead the Bears to a Super Bowl, but it is just too unlikely.

RB M. Barber's Role Likely To Increase

It will be interesting to see how many of these teams that had rb tandums (Jax, Dallas, NO, etc.) in '06 switch to more of a single back style in '07. The arguement here, as it is with McAllister/Bush and Taylor/Drew-Jones, is will a guy like Marion Barber wear down if give more time? I had him in one league last year and loved his punishing style. The only reason Jones even saw the field was because The Tuna had a soft spot for him still. We will see what will happen, but if Dallas does declare Barber III the lone back, watch him go in the first round of most drafts as of right now.

    WR help...Will answer yours

What up all? I am starting Deion Branch my 1 WR, but am having a hard time choosing a second one. Out of the four I have listed (Randy, Wilford, Evans, Cotchery) I personally have it down to two...Evans and Cotchery. Cotchery plays against the same secondary that Evans scorched last weekend. I know Evans would usually be a better play, but he goes up against a very hard Jags D who should be all over him and Losman all day. So who do I pick? Evans or Cotchery? Leave link...will answer yours

    Trade help

Jacobs' upside is way too great to pass on and the cool thing is you already have him. I can see him being a top 15 back easily next year while Rudi always has the threat of losing a lot of carries to Perry. Rudi is a two down back a lot of the times and is getting older. With that said, I would keep Palmer, Colston, Jacobs and Maroney. While KJ has had a pretty solid year so far he is injured once again and that alone makes him able to pass on. Andre Johnson is nice as well, but I am sure you could get a similar WR in the draft or through a trade. If you can trade Jones and Johnson for a top shelf player or one that is better than the four I mentioned go for it. If not, I would say keep the four I listed and throw the other two back. Hope this helps. PS Trading KJ and Andre might net you a guy like Holt or Alexander in return. I have got to imagine that Shaun's sell value is lower than usual right now.

My Addai and Roy Will for his Portis and Evans?

I would do the trade...i own both evans and portis in one of my leagues...dont mind it at all and am not nearly as deep as you are at wide receiver (i have moss, evans cotchery and reggie williams)..you still retain coles and get evans, but here is the trick...i would then trade ronnie brown away for a receiver...maybe package him with another receiver...im sure someone would take a starting back off your hands. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry2848327

How's my line up for week 10?

The only change I would make is Addai for Taylor...Jax play a real weak d and the only real reason that the texans dominated last time was due to byron leftwich being seriously injured through out the game...new england has the 3rd best run d in the league while houston is in the 20's.
