Yep, wherever he goes it's not going to turn out like they hoped it would. He needs to retire.

Well for that price they better hope Kupp can stay healthy and stay on the field. If he can.do that then he certainly could put up numbers worthy of 15 mil.

To be honest yes the Titans should draft a QB with pick#1 and it should be Cam Ward. Yet I'm not sure they're ready to move on from Will (mayonnaise) Levi's and admitting they were wrong it drafting him. He's been in the league a few years and really haven't seen a great deal of improvement from him. Granted they haven't really surrounded him with players that would help his development I just don't think he's a franchise QB. If they trade the #1 pick to the JETS to get additional picks then there' a chance that Shedeur Sanders would be available to them at pick #7. All the dpeculation going around about who should move up to get Ward the Titans could squash all that and just stand pat at one and take Ward but they'd have to be certain that he's the guy that's going to elevate the Titans and be their franchise for X number of years. Yes by all means they should just pick Ward at #1 but I get the feeling they'renot 100% convinced his their guy.

Looking over the 1st round of the 2025 draft I see 7 teams that currently need QBs. I cut it to 5 removing the Raiders(Geno Smith) and Steelers(Rodgers Sweepstakes?). So that leaves the Titans, Browns, Giants, Jets and possibly the Saints. All these teams are in the top 10 of picks. I do think that a QB will be the #1 pick and in all likelihood that will be Cam Ward. Of these QB needy teams is there one that will offer a deal to get that first overall pick? Yes. I've narrowed that to 2 teams. The Giants, who hole pick #3 and the Jets who hold pick #7. I just think that the Titans won't keep the pick and draft a QB although they could keep it and take either Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter. Yet I think they will entertain offers for their #1 pick and eventually make a deal with a team. So, who's that team? While the Giants could have the edge in what they could offer I have a darkhorse to consider trading up to #1. That team is the N.Y. Jets, who hold pick #7. I don't have compeling evidence to say what they can offer I just merely have a gut hunch that they will be the team to offer an attractive enough package to secure the #1 pick. Not sure what the other teams in the top 7 will do I just believe that the Jets make a good enough offer to the Tians to get pick #1 and take Cam Ward. Sure you guys make pick apart my choice of the Jets but heck you guys may have some other ideas on who would want to go after the #1 pick.

I'd be a little surprised because we know age is not a rb's friend. He was great on my 49ers and he certainly balled out in Miami. However, if the Raiders take Jeanty at #6 then Mostert's numbers will be way down. They still have Sincere McCormack who they like and a lot younger. I do think that Mostert could see significant goal line touches and 8 tds wouldn't be out of the question. If the Raiders pass on Jeanty I still think Mostert would split carries with McCormick and at best he'd get 600-700 yds. and 5-6 tds.

Geno Smith traded to the Raiders for a 3rd Round pick
DocNiner replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Yes. If they don't draft Jeanty then they have no shot of contending and besting the Broncos, Chargers and Chiefs. They just be a team with a little better QB than last year. If they draft Jeanty then they should at least be able to put points on the board and be respectful competition for the other 3 teams in the division. -
Yeah, I could definitely see this happening. Raiders have a QB in Geno Smith for probably a couple of years and I think they might grab one of the rookies in the 2nd or 3rd round. They don't need a TE with budding superstar Brock Bowers so the Raiders need weapons on offense. Clearly Jeanty is the top runningback in this draft class. The Raiders are going to have to put points on the board in a division with 3 other pretty good teams. Broncos should be better and if the Chargers land one of the 2 top TEs they'll be much better. So as I look.at it now the Raiders are on the bottom of this division so they need an offensive player who's going to help stay relevant, if that's possible, in this tough division. Enter ASHTON JEANTY. If they draft him then they'll at least be able to provide better competition with the Broncos,Chargers and Chiefs. Plus grabbing Jeanty means that Dallas can.scrap their notion of getting him. I guess that's why they brought Javonte Williams in knowing that Jeanty would be gone when they pick at 12. So if the Raiders have any aspirations of trying to keep pace with the other 3 teams in their division then I think it's imperative that they draft Ashtkn Jeanty with their first pick at #6.

Well yeah, Metcalf does have familiarity with Russell Wilson but he's NOT the Wilson of old but he'd make a concerted effort to get Metcalf the ball. At best Wilson may have 2 years left in him but I don't think his production would be great. It would probably benefit Metcalf more if the Steelers went in got Aaron Rodgers. He too may only have a couple of more years to play and put up decent number. If I were DK he should want Rodgers over Wilson. The Steelers need to have a veteran at QB this year whether it be Rodgers or Wilson and maybe take a shot on one of the day 2 QBs available in the draft. Would it be even possible that they could jump back into the first round after pick 20 and pull the trigger on Jaxson Dart? Either way the Steelers have a lot of sorting out to do on the QB position prior to the draft.

So, what does the signing of Harris do to JK Dobbins fantasy stock? For sure Dobbins has overcome some serious injuries in the past but seemed to have put them behind him to a degree last year. Early on he was on fire but production waned later on. I don't see Najee as a 3 down back for the Chargers but he'll most likely get the majority of the touches. Maybe a 75 to 25 split between him and Dobbins. We know Harbaugh wants to run the ball which is going to limit Herbert's production but heck Harbaugh's about winning. Herbert will just have to make the most out of the passing opportunities. Would really like to see them grab TE Loveland in the draft but I've seen mocks having the Broncos take Loveland just ahead of the Chargers. Of that could happen then the Chargers would need to jump jnfront of the Broncos if Harbaugh wants him bad enough. It's still the Chiefs division to win it and the Chargers will have to contend with the ascending Broncos and the Raiders should be better. It's possible that Harris could see enough touches to finish as a top 20 back and Dobbins will have to get what scraps he he can. Basically though the Chargers have upgraded their running game.

I know Adams is getting a little older in football terms but by signing with the Rams it kind of gives them the inside track on winning the NFC East title. A division with my 49ers not liking this deal. Even so Adams is still productive and I don't think he'll have any issues being the #2 guy behind Puka Nacua. With the addition of Adams they could give the Eagles a run for their money to win the NFC conference title. The Rams are a young team with the exception of a few guys. Stafford is upper 30's in age but still a viable productive QB1. Rams were.just a few.plays short of beating the Eagles in the playoffs last year so they are an ascending team. If my S.F. 49ers don't make a playoff run this year, which could happen, I'll be rooting for the Rams but also rooting for the Commanders who got Deebo from us and they are my Grandson's favorite team. They too are an ascending team with their rookie sensation Jayden Daniels.

Yeah I still only seen2 QBs even worthy of consideration in the first round. Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. An in ppartley QB Sanders has kind of sabotaged his own draft stock by being or seemingly disinterested in the interviews with potential suitors. So if he's doing this even before he gets drafted teams are going to sour on drafting.this kid. He'll still probably go 1st round but he.may not get picked as.high as.he thinks he.should. He's not even kn the NFL and he's already showing signs of being a diva and if that's the case his teammates and the locker room are going to be a problem.for him. What the heck is wrong with some of these youngsters/kids seem to have an entitlement.issues.

Geno Smith traded to the Raiders for a 3rd Round pick
DocNiner replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
I totally agree with you Maximum Overkill on this one. The Raiders running game sucked last year. WR Jacoby Myers is serviceable and we already know how talented Brock Bowers is drafting of Ashton Jeanty makes perfect sense. Clearly he's the best RB in this class and the Raiders MUST draft Jeanty at pick #6. Some may say that's too early for an RB but their no assurances that a RB they take in round 3 or even round 2 is going to pan out. We know that Jeanty is a franchise running back.and you're not likely to hit the jackpot on an RB on day 2 or 3. They play in a division we 3 good teams.and the Raiders, IMO, are at the bottom of the division. I know we say defenses win.championships but you better have an offense that can put points on the board if you're going to compete against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Taking Jeanty at #6 automatically increases their ability to score points. So, Las Vegas Raiders just don't get cute and over analyze your pick at 6 and RUN to the podium and take RB Ashton Jeanty with your 1st round pick. On another note I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 running backs taken in the first round. Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton and Trey Henderson. -
Yes, I remember that play. I could very well be wrong about Metcalf being a diva guessing he was complaining about getting the ball with Lockett and JSN taking targets away from him. He's a big boy and only 27 so I suppose he's going to draw a good bit of attention from multiple teams. One team that intrigues me is the Baltimore Ravens. I'm just not convinced Zay Flowers is a bona-fide WR1. Metcalf IS. The Ravens window to win the superbowl isn't closing but you have to believe it's getting smaller. RB Derrick Henry may have a couple more years left in him TE Mark Andrews is declining somewhat but they do.have Isiah Likely who could end up TE1 for the Ravens next year. Adding Metcalf would absolutely boost their chances of getting to the superbowl. Yet there's the same old story of Lamar Jackson not being able to get it done in the playoffs. If I were Baltimore I'd immediately go make a serious offer to add DK Metcalf to their roster. He would be their best chance to get to the SB.
-
I agree with you. We know in the NFL that speed kills and why teams look at guys that can turn on the jets. At 27 he's probably lost a few.ticks at speed but he for sure needs to work on his route running. Hr's also probably at the top of the free agent receivers this year and he should get interest in multiple teams. The Raiders may be the best spot for him. His familiarity with Pete Carroll and outside of Brock Bowers he would be the top option for whoever the get at QB.
-
He put up 3 seasons over 1,000yds. with Seattle. He's had 2 seasons of double digit tds with the Seahawks so the guy has certainly produced and hasn't missed much playing time. Is he a diva? Maybe but so are some other receivers. Does he create turmoil in the locker room. Don't know but Seattle seems to have no issue withhim.moving on. I just think he's not happy in Seattle. Now, what and where.does a trade seem viable for this guy. Pete Carroll is with the Raiders and I gotta believe he'll try to convince the Raiders braintrust to try and get this guy. I'm sure he wants to be the WR1 wherever he goes. With all their cap space it's possible the Patriots take a look at acquiring him. Surely Drake Maye would love it. He's only 27 and still has some prime years left to produce so it'll be interesting to see who pushes hard to get this on their team.
-
My 49ers could certainly use since trading Deebo and apparently shopping Aiyuk who may not even be ready by week 1. Curious if Metcalf is a diva because divas can be a locker room problem but no doubt D.K. has talent and he'll help.any team that lands him if indeed they do trade him
-
Whether it's Gainwell or Shipley oif Barkley's on your team and you have the roster space it would be wise to grab one of these 2 guys you think is the better handcuff. If Barkley misses playing time for whatever reason, hopefully not, othe Eagles O-line is good enough to support good production from either Gainwrll or Shipley.

ICEMAN's plan to right the Patriots ship in 2025
DocNiner replied to ICEMAN's topic in FFToday Board
Yeah they have so many needs to fill but I think they can accomplish a good bit giving the cap space they and pucks in the draft. Drake Maye is going to be good but he needs weapons. I love the idea of Chris Godwin going to the PATS to be WR1 and no longer be in Mike Evans shadow. Not sure of his injury history but if he can go into camp healthy and with the Patriots he could produce good numbers. Surely they need to address the O-line either through free agency or the draft. As you said if Carter or Hunter are there at pick #4 they have to take which is available. If they're not there then dropping back to get more picks is the way to go IMO. If they can get Godwin they should look to get a WR I n the draft and Godwin can help mentor whoever they take. Vrable has been a decent head coach in the past and he'll help change the culture in New England. He should have a lot of influence in what the brass will do in free agency and the draft. Vrable will want to play solid defense and a have a good running game. Rhamondre Stevenson should benefit from Vrable's philosophy but he'll need to fix his fumble issues. Overall I think the PATS future is looking up with Vrable running the show but there should be an emphasis on Drake Maye's development. Give him the help he'll need to be successful but if they don't then Maye's progress will flounder. They still have a lot of work to be done on both sides of the ball if they want to compete with the Bills -
The combine starts Thursday and like to hear you guys thoughts on players. Top 2 ranked QBs won't be participating. RB Jeanty not running. So what positions and or players are you interested in checking out. Will the be another 40 time record beating Worthy's run last year. Will any of the other QBs stock rise with their performance at the combine. We know there's always wheeling and dealing at the combine so any thoughts on what teams try to move up in the draft. Will there be any surprises during the combine? Thanks for your input.
-
Yeah Deebo did land in a good spot. I think the 49ers let him go a little cheap. Maybe could have at least got a 4th rounder. Still Deebo should work well in the Commanders offense if he can stay healthy and on the field. So since he wanted out of San Fran he just might stay healthy but his style of play can be susceptible to injury as has happened to him in the past. I wish him well though. He gave my Niners some good play when he was on the field and not a whole lot of guys in the NFL that can play WR & RB with some success.
-
I've seen some draft pundits mocks that have Jeanty going to the JETS with their early 1st round pick. That absolutely makes no sense with them having Breece Hall so I don't see that happening. I'd almost bet thought that if Jeanty is available when the Cowboys pick at #12 that they take Jeanty.
-
Yes, well Leonard is tall at 6'5" so he won't have trouble looking over the top of players that smaller QBs have issues with sometimes. He does need to improve his accuracy but he could go in the 2nd round. I'm also looking to see how Quinn Ewers does at the combine. He had a torn labrum last year I believe that caused him to play tentatively and affected his confidence. If he can get back his confidence he could develop into a good nfl QB. There doesn't seem to be elite level QBs in this draft so there's a chance that outside of Ward, Sanders and Jaxson Dart the other QBs could easily fall to round 3 and later as most will be projects. I also want to see how the runningbacks do. Pretty much the consensus has Ashton Jeanty as the top back and pretty sure he'll go in the 1st round. I bet Dalls is hoping he falls to them at #12. Don't really see a yeam jumping up ahead of Dallas to get him. If Ward and Sanders are gone before the Raiders pick at #6, which is a good possibility, I could see them grabbing Jeanty. They desperately need weapons as Brock Bowers is clearly their top offensive weapon and a good rb.I think would benefit Bowers. Then they could take a shot on a day 2 QB because what they currently have at the QB position is not the answer so they could even go get one of the free agent QBs that'll be available. I think Cousins would be a good fit for them . Lots of storyline in this year's combine and it'll be interesting to see who rises and who falls and maybe some players no one thought would do much blows them away with their performance. Being a football junky and having football withdrawals,LOL, the combine will at least sate my hunger for some football action for the time being. Hope you all enjoy the combine and feel free to comment on anything here as the combine gets rolling. Thanks for your insightful input.

If the Titans don't grab a QB at the top of the draft then they could take a look at obtaining Rodgers. I don't think Will (mayo man) Levi's is the answer so maybe the get Rodgers and look for a QB in next years.draft. Even with Rodgers they may not still win a lot of games and should have a fairly high draft pick in 2026. Alas though we.may not know what Rodgers.wants and ultimately he just.hangs his cleats up and retires. Just hope whatever happens it's not another long drawn out saga waiting.on his decision. He stills wants the limelight.
-
Yeah, I don't really trust the receivers they have currently on the team. They have the cap space to really make a serious offer for TEE HIGGINS. They for sure need a receiver that's going to help.Drake Mayes development. They have 4 picks in the first 77 picks in the draft. Maybe they could move back up into the first to grab one of the rookie WRs. Probably would have to offer too much for McMillan so they could stand pat and grab one early.2nd round. But they MUST get a receiver that Maye can rely on or they may not win a lot of games. Maye is no doubt talented so.it would be a shame to waste.that and not get him help offensively.
-
You could be right. Early on a lot of draft pundits has Cam Ward to the Giants at 3 and Shadeur Sanders as the 2nd QB to the Raiders. I'm starting to think that scenario won't happen. I don't.think the TITANS believe that Will(mayonnaise) LEVIS is their franchise QB and since they have the 1st pick it might make sense for them to take Cam Ward with that #1 pick. If that happens then I guess the Giants will look hard at taking Shadeur Sanders at pick #3.
