Now that the draft is over there's high expectations for players this year. I'm curious to see what you guys think on who will be the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year. There's.a lot of players who could garner this award this year. So, let us know who you think will win it on both sides of the ball. Will they win it because of heir talent or because of the team that drafted them. Also, if you care to, what kind of production do you see coming from these potential ROY'S. I have some guys in mind and will post here later but I'm interested to get you guys opinions because a lot of you are very knowledgeable about football in terms of real and fantasy. I'm.sure some of you will nail the ROY on offense and defense so let us know your players and why they will win the award. Thanks for your input.

DOH, yeah my bad. Should bake looked more closely and would have seen it was Dillon Gabriel they drafted. Even so Shedeur Sanders went to a team where he will have a real chance of being the starter. Gabriel will push Sanders and we'll see who comes out on top after training camp. Thanks for pointed out my mistake.
-
Yeah he'll have to battle Tyrone Tracy for carries but if the Giants work things right I believe Skattebo could have a productive year. And yes it is fun just to say his name. I know Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football is pretty happy the Giants were able to get Skattebo.
-
I would give the Giants an A grade on their draft. Abdul Carter will be a beast. My Grandson is a Commanders fan and he's not looking forward to facing the Giants defense twice a year. Their defense.should be better this year. I really liked when they moved back into the 1st round to draft.QB Jaxson Dart. He couldnend up.having a great career.and I hope their O-line gives the rookie thenprotection he'll need going against the rest of the teams.in the NFC EAST, especially facing the Eagles twice.a.year. I also really like the pick of RB.Cam Scattebo in the 4th round. Should be a pretty.good rb combo with Skattebo.and.last year rookie Tyrone Tracy who.had a good rookie year. They did get some help for the O-line in take offensive lineman MBOW. I think overall the Giants will definitely improve from.last season but we'll see how they do in a tough division with 3 other pretty good QBs.
-
Yrs I think they had one of the better drafts of all the teams. I wouldn't be surprised if they finished in 2nd place below the reigning division Champs the Buffalo Bills. I'm rooting for Drake Maye to have a pretty good 2nd year and hope his receivers help him out.

Yeah NOBODY, I'm gonna have to agree with you on Mr. Sanders. I'm.sure Shedeur thinks himself as NFL caliber starting QB and I'm.sure daddy Deion thinks the same. It was said that some of the interviews Shedure had with some teams were not so pleasing and desirable to some of the NFL teams. Maybe it could have been some cockiness he had of himself and how talented he thinks he is. Yes I do agree that he does have some talent. The rub here with him is whatever team drafts him, that being the BROWNS, he will bring some baggage along with himself that I don't think a lot of the teams wanted to deal with. No doubt daddy DEION orchestrated a lot of his pre-draft personna that probably left a lot of teams not wanting to deal with Shedeur and Deion drama which will certainly happen. Deion is gonna have his analysis on his boy.and push to have him.playing sooner than later. Shedeur does have talent and it'll be interesting tonsee how things shake out in training camp when he'll be looking to prove he's more talented than Riley Leonard. He may be, but if he focuses on.how he can help the Browns win there's a chance he could end up starting week1 for Cleveland. Even with his talent he still wasn't drafted until the 5th round. That to me just shows what all the NFL thought of the young Sanders. Looking at the depth chart for the Browns QBs it is far far from.stellar. I don't think that Joe Flacco should be the starter and Shedeur should be able to beat out Kenny Pickett. So as I see it the battle between Leonard and Sanders in training camp will yell who will be the Browns starter week1. In reality Shedeur probably landed in the best spot for himself given the current Browns QB roster and that should at least provide him with the opportunity to prove he should be the starter come week.1 for Cleveland. We are.just getting started with the Shedeur.and Deion show and.just wondering when it's.going to implode leaving the Browns thinking.if they made a mistake in drafting Shedeur. I'm not wanting to bash Shedeur and I hope for his sake he handles this process like a pro. I do hope he has a good career but we will surely witness some hub bub with him as.teams.start off-season workout and then into training camp. Yet at this point I'm rooting for Riley Leonard to win the Browns starting gig. If that happens then I bet Deion will not be a happy camper.

Since free agency has started and a bunch of players finding.new homes their departures leave hole the teams need to address. We know that strange things can happen the the NFL Draft and there's likely going to be some moves up and moves down in the first round. I like to see what you guys think could be some BOLD MOVES in the 2025 Draft. Are there some dark horses that make a bold move to get to the top of the draft to.grab one of the touted couple of QBs. Will some team fall in love with a RB enough to toss caution to the wind and snatch them up before another team gets a chance at them. So feel free to post any BOLD MOVES you think might happen in the 2025 NFL Draft.
-
I would love that move. I posted earlier that I thought the Cowboys would trade up to #5 but never considered the 49ers moving up. While it would be a great addition to my 49ers they have so many other holes/needs from all the players that left in the offseason. They could still get a RB in the early second but they really need to address the O-line and multiple spots on defense.

2025 NFL Draft Profile - CB/WR Travis Hunter
DocNiner replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Obviously this guy is a phenomenal athlete. Whatever team drafts him.won't be disappointed. It was mentioned in the profile that the teams that are a best fit for his talent were the Packers, Raiders, Jaguars, Patriots, Giants and Browns. The first 3 teams listed won't even get a sniff to draft him. Probably the Patriots won't get the chance either. I'd be very surprised if he isn't drafted within the first 3 picks. The Giants areprobably hoping that the Browns take Sanders so they can scarf him up at #3. Yet he should be a lock to be drafted in the first 3 picks. While he's an exceptional cornerback he receiving skills could use a little work, especially his route running. He's said if he can't play both offense and defense he'd rather not play football. Therein lies his conundrum. While he played both sides of the ball in college it was not against NFL players. The grind of a full NFL season is going to tax hus body and also increases the odds of getting injured. I hope that doesn't happen but because he'll be a dual player he could well have a target on his back. He'd probably be best served to play cornerback full time and receiving part-time at least early to get acclimated to the NFL grind. It'll.be fun to watch he play and hope garners success on both sides of the ball -
Can't remember Peyton and Eli's brothers name but he's still a Manning. Regardless of Arch's father.not having elite or even average ability for playing sports Arch is still an above average QB. Teams could be beating each other up to try and get him in next years draft. The kid will have a ton of pressure on him to try and live up to Peyton and Eli's legacy. Just hope that what ever team.selects him.foesn't squander his ability by not putting players around him.so he can be successful.

2025 NFL Draft Profile - WR Tetairoa McMillan
DocNiner replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
I have the Cowboys trading with the Jaguars for the #5 pick to take RB Ashton Jeanty. If by some chance they don't move up to get Jeanty, which is certainly possible, the could really take a long look at drafting McMillan. He'd probably go pretty good as the #2 alongside CeeDee Lamb. As far as this class of WRs I like Matthew Golden better than McMillan but the Cowboys might like his height better than Golden. If the Cowboys miss out on Jeanty they'll for sure to look at nabbing a WR with their first pick at #12. Whoever they grab I don't think they'll change the Cowboys problems. Only new ownership might change that to a degree. -
Thinking about Arch Manning it's not out of the realm for the Saints to lose a lot of games. Yet not so sure tanking will be tolerated by the NFL without some kind of repercussion. Don't know if there are any rules in place that prohibit tanking. If not there should be. So even if the Saints are hellbent on losing games to get a shot at Manning it could be done without too much suspicious activity. Don't know much about Rattler but if the Saints don't take a QB there's a good chance Rattler starts with Derek Carr's health and being able to Plat are in question. Papa Manning is probably hoping his Grandson gets drafted by the Saints.
-
I still think QB Sanders is rated above Dart. Sanders could be there at 9 but likely gone which leaves Dart. I believe the Saints won't need to trade up to get Dart. If he's there at pick #9 the Saints take him. Likely to sit for awhile or at least until Carr underperformes or misses time. Saints need a QB now so they won't wait until next year.
-
Yeah not sure mocks are biased. Basically just fun and seeing different points of view which is a good thing. So speaking of fun I see 3 of the above sites have RB Ashton Jeanty going to the Cowboys at #12. First , he won't be on the board at 12. Second, many many sites have Jeanty going to the Raiders at pick #6. I, along with a lot of others would like to see that but unfortunately Jeanty will be gone come the Raiders pick at #6. So, Jerry Jones asserts his financial muscle and trades up with the Jacksonville Jaguars for pick #6 where they DO indeed draft RB Ashton Jeanty. Laugh if you will but it could certainly happen and I think Jerry Jones is ALL IN on drafting RB Jeanty before someone else gets the i dea to move up to get him. So I'm certainly not biased being a 49ers fan but having some fun with my mocks but taking a shot at trade that could actually happen. The Jaguars could use more picks anyeay.
-
I don't think they take him even if he's there. I say the picks go like this,. 1-Cam Ward, 2-Shedeur Sanders, 3-Travis Hunter, 5- Abdul Carter 5-Ashton Jeanty. At least this is how I think my top 5 picks will go. Feel.bad for the Raiders if they miss out on Jeanty so they'll probably trade back if Jeanty's off the board at #6. I think there's a good chance as well as another runningback goes in the top 10 picks. After seeing what Saquone Barkley did last year teams are now re-evaluating what they think about RBs. The trend is that teams are probably placing more value on rbs but I still only see 3 RBs worthy of being 1st round picks.
-
Yeah, I don't think that'llhappen but I do have one more bold move involving the Cowboys that'll shake up thr first round a bit. The Cowboys have pick #12 and there's likely an RB available at that pick, Omarion Hampton. I don't think they'll be drafting Hampton but they ARE going totake a rb. They won't wait until the 2nd,3rd or even 4th round to get a rb. I believe they're going to make a.bolder move to get a runningback. It's been pounded in many mock drafts that the Raiders will take RB ASHTON JEANTY with pick #6. I think they're going to end up disappointed to find out that the Cowboys trade with Jacksonville to move up to pick #5 and select RB Ashton Jeanty. Poor Raiders lose out again. This trade is coming straight from the top dog in Dallas Jerry Jones. Before you say they won't draft a RB that high if I recall correctly they select Ezekiel Elliott with pick #4 in a draft year I don't remember but had heard they took Elliott at #4. Jerry certainly knows the Cowboys aren't even going to sniff the playoffs if they don't have a running game. So, I submit my bold move for your dissection, thoughts or disagreements on the Cowboys moving up to puck #5 to take RB ASHTON JEANTY. I don't think it's a far fetched idea but one that could truly happen. Yes we've heard time and time again that the Cowboys need a legit #2 WR opposite CeeDee Lamb to help his production, as if he needs help,LOL. Yet obtaining Ashton Jeanty would boosts Lamb's game in my opinion. So ther you have it, the COWBOYS trade with the JAGUARS to move up to pick #5 and take RB ASHTON JEANTY.

AMEN BROTHER. Purdy drew the short straw with having weapons. When's the last time Rodgers has been in a superbowl? Dude's getting love from past accomplishments which he deserves but this is a what have you done for me lately league. Rodgers may want to go the Ninets but pretty sure the 49ers dkn't want him unless it's in a backup role. Mr. Drama just needs to go on and sign with the Steelets so he can play in one more playoff game and lose. Steelers seem to be the only team at this point to want him. My 59ers don't want him OR need him.
-
That's all well and good so.I have to say I agree with you to a point. Purdy has established himself in San Fran. In his defense one season he rips his elbow apart in the NFC title game. He then went to a superbowl but the team just couldn't get over the hump. 2024 was a disastrous season for the Niners health wise. People.eill.say he's not that good simply because he was the last pick in the draft. Given all that along with all our injuries I'd say he's played pretty well. He has been worthy of a top 12 QB and his numbers shoe it. If we trade him.and get Rodgets I don't believe Aarkn is capable of winning the SB this year. Even if we would get an extra 1st rounder I'm not so sure there's a good enough QB to be had outside of Cam Ward. I don't think Sanders is the answer and U'd probably rather have Jaxson Dart but there again he's an unknown commodity to this point. Purdy IS capable of winning a superbowl but they need to put pieces around him given the exodus of multiple players of the 9ers this offseason. I'd rather they pay him and then take the best O-lineman at pick #11. I don't think winning the SB this year is out of the question but it's not likely to happen this year IMO. I trust that Lynch and company can make good draft picks and get this team back to being relevant again. If they draft well then I could certainly see a Lkmbardi trophy in the next 3 years and Purdy will be in his prime. Yes listen to the Steelers, if they sign Rodgers, but for God's sake let somebody else deal with his drama.
-
Nope, and yes Mr. Rodgers needs to go back to the neighborhood.and be a good neighbor,LOL. Even though he's 4 time MVP.at.his current state of production he's not even close to Purdy. Plus Purdy doesn't bring a childish attitude to the table. Yes I get he's a 4 time MVP and that should come with some respect but he's a far cry.from those MVP days. He's an egotistical and narcissistic individual who thinks his own crap doesn't stink. Yet he's loving every.minute of the aggravation he's causes for teams and the media. This is his final attempt at trying to be relevant and.when all is said and done he knows he's just going to go on and retire. Teams are tired of kissing his backside to get a player that will not win them a superbowl. So I say the Rodgers era/drama is over and now we're just waiting for him to get one more chance in front of the camera to announce his retirement. ADIOS Mr. Rodgers, enjoy putting on your button down sweater, putting your slippets on and singing 'Won't you be my neighbor'..
-
Yes, if the Steelers were able to sign Rodgers and put together a package to get Purdy I think they'd jump at the chance to get him. I just hope it doesn't happen as.I'm fine with Purdy being our QB now and in the future. There have been other QBs to win a superbowl who I consider not as talented as Purdy but it takes more than a QB to win a title. It takes a whole yeam both offensively and defensively. If the 49ers put competent people around Purdy on offense and Saleh can help the defense then I surely think Purdy will win a superbowl.
-
Normally I would say that this deal could work but the problem I have with it is what to do with the 21st pick in the first round. Surely Ward is gone and likely that Shedeur Sanders is gone before pick 21. We'd have to have a plan in place in case Rodgers gets injured or completely falls flat on his face in terms of production. If we could take that 21st pick and move up some to take Jaxson Dart as I feel he could easily be gone by pick 21. Then there's still the chance that Rodgers plays better than average and gets then49ers into the playoffs. Yes he still has talent and 4 MVPs to his resume but he is 41 so I wonder if the talent he has left in the tank is worth risking just so he can play on the team he wanted to go to when he was drafted. In the end I would say NO to any deal for Rodgers and continue to roll with Purdy. If he fits Shanny's system then why not go with the guy you know can play. He did get himself to a superbowl so I'm pretty sure he's mega hungry and still has a sizeable Chipotle his shoulder to prove people wrong.
-
When I seen this on Facebook it was.speculated that the Steelers would give up their.1st round pick in exchange for Purdy and send Rodgers to the 49ers. Heck the Steelers haven't even signed Rodgers a d O think it'd be a bad.move for the 49ers with gettjng.Rodgers and pick #21. Don't like that scenario at all. Yes Purdy has developed but he'll go into the season with a bunch of previous players gone so I guess we'll see what he's made of then. Not sure if Aiyuk will be ready but they need.him badly. Hopefully CMC can stay healthy but that's a shaky situation. I do look for Ricky Pearsall to make a big leap this year. If we.can stay.healthy we can make some noise even without Rodgers and his traveling circus.
-
I know there is a lot of fake stuff on Facebook but I recently saw this this morning. Apparently Rodgers has expressed a strong desire to join the San Francisco 49ers. Geez, the saga continues. In Rodgers defense he has publicly stated he would have loved to be the 49ers QB as he was set to enter the draft. Back then I would have loved that as well. That year we had the #1 pick and the 49ers brass went back and forth on taking Rodgets or Alex Smith. We know how that turned out when the 9ers selected Alex Smith. Rodgers is a southern Cal boy, played college in Southern Cal . I wish the 49ers had drafted Roger's instead of Smith. Yet at this point I think there's zero chance he goes to the 49ers. He wants to be the starter and they are NOT going to jeopardize the development of Brock Purdy. So all this bru-haha that Rodgers has been instigating is just another ploy of his to try and hold the NFL hostage. Move on Aaron, we're all over your adolescent behavior.

Most of the NFL is trash, including the Bills and Cowboys
DocNiner replied to Mufaletta's topic in FFToday Board
Not so much that the Cowboys are trash I think it's more that Jerry Jones is. He's the puppet master and controls all the strings. Doubt if he'll ever change so their mess of a team will continue probably until the yeam changes ownership. He's adamant that he believes that his way is the best way. Sad, but in the early 90's they were really good and now they're just a shell of themselves. Maybe Jerry will have a come to Jesus moment but I wouldn't bet on it anytime soon. -
Most of the NFL is trash, including the Bills and Cowboys
DocNiner replied to Mufaletta's topic in FFToday Board
Well if there's a bunch of trash teams I guess the league needs them so that there's some organizations who'll kick their atses consistently and hope that the fans like that scenario. Still it all starts at the topwith the team owners and management. If they are more concerned with making money and less concerned about putting a quality product on the field then those said trash organizations are gonna continue to blunder their way through season after season. So there's actually.some.orginizatikns who WANT to win, build a culture and provide their fanbase with a quality product. Alas, there's pretty much trash teams as well in some of the other major sports. It is what it is.
