Is the trade a consideration because it frees up a lot of cap room? If so then that may be ok but you are paying a steep price for backups.

Just as a quick reference to refute your point that dog fighting is illegal because we all love dogs. C-ock fighting (that's roosters for the lowbrow among us) is illegal in 48 states. Hell, as a left field example, most people in most states can't even build a deck without the county's permission (permits, fees, etc.), and that, by God is on your property and hurts no one.

Part of my job with the Environmental Health Department is rabies tracking and prevention so don't blow this off when you read this. I am not some dingle-berry just digging at you. Bats are the a major carrier of all types of rabies (Yes there is more than one type). Those indemic to the U.S. are Raccon, Skunk, Canine, Fox, Feline, and Bat... there is also Mongoose strain in Puerto Rico but it hasn't reached the contiguous 48 States yet. Bats have very small teeth, so small in fact that one can bite you and you would literally never know. The bite is so small that it does not bleed and you feel no pain. However it is not too small that the rabies virus cannot be passed through the bite. Rabies in humans can incubate and manifest itself at anytime within 3 weeks to 7 years of the bite. With close contact with a number of bats, especially with the presence of young children and the possibility of contact while asleep, it is always best to contact your local Animal Control and Health Department and have any bat found inside a home tested for rabies. Since that is not an option in your case I'd give the family doctor a call to see what his advice would be. That's it for my public service announcement. By the way, good luck with the fix-up.

Ah, if I remember correctly wasn't the playoff game the third time the Raiders had played the Broncos in 6 weeks? Even if I am misremembering the time of the first game I do remember the back to back wins... and the subsequent loss. My favorite that wasn't even a starter. Vince Evans. I loved when he got in the game (especially since I hated Schroeder). Guy played hard and was in his 40's. He wasn't great but I liked him anyway. I saw him throw an interception once and lay a hit on the guy along the sidelines that would make a linebacker coach proud. I miss that dude... wonder if he can still play at 50+, Raiders could use him, probably more mobile than Walters.
