    Bold Projections For 2009

very nice list. a few things: I disagree on Kevin Smith. I just dont think DET is good enough nor is Kevin Smith to project those numbers. Dont think Jacobs will be in top-10 in PPR. He may get more carries this year, but wont duplicate 15 TDs. I expect 9-11. Chris Johnson - Lendale is on contract year and is already working his tail off. Yes, White wont score 15, but i think the team as a whole wont score 20 rushing TDs. White may get 11, CJ3 8. Wont be surprised at all if CJ3 misses games this year too. TO - ur correct he blows up first year on a new team, but that was with a passing team like PHI and DAL. This is the Bills with a young QB. Dont see him blowin up.

    Top 15 RB's in 2009

i love the bold picks like Pierre and Larry Johnson. I do like LJ if everything goes well for him in the offseason, not so much with Pierre. my top-10 (PPR) mainstays from last year ADP MJD Forte Turner DeAngelo Westbrook new faces in the top10 Gore Ronnie Brown Steven Jackson Reggie Bush 10-20 Portis Moreno Slaton CHris Johnson Larry Johnson Stewart Beanie Wells Marion Barber Felix Jones LT
  3. my bad. replace Kevin Smith with Gore, and i think i'm with you
  4. if and when Lynch gets suspended, i doubt he gets into top-10.

hi Matt, any take on Jordy Nelson? 3rd WR off the board, and GB has a very good track record of drafting WRs, so i'm thinking guy is pretty good - havent seen him play, so curouis if you got something to add on him. thanks.

    Rookie Draft This Year

only injury would DERAIL Peterson's path to greatness. Lynch isn't in the same tier as ADP, fantasy or reality. nowhere close.

    Oregon's Stewart needs surgery

from what i know, Stewart didnt run any other drills aside from the 40. I believe he skipped the shuttle and others. Running straight line may not be that much of an issue with the turf toe, but with cutting and all that, it should be worse, hence why he skipped the other drills. thoughts?

thanks Matt. Just pre-ordered my RSP, hoping to get the same results as last year !!!!! btw, how does Stewart compare to Lynch in your assessment? seeing Lynch in the pros, looks like Lynch got excellent vision, burst and his quickness in tight spaces. I havent seen much of Stewart so hoping to see how he would compare to a Lynch. thanks.

i'm with you on Mendenhall. off-topic, what do you think about Ginn and Sidney Rice? You had both guys on the overrated list, but I think both showed something last year, especially Rice. I believe both guys may be stars in the league in 2 years.

tried out the RSP last year and it worked out great, recommend it especially for this price. quick one for Waldman if you dont mind. Mayock and now Brian Baldinger have downgraded McFadden, saying he isn't an ELITE prospect. Do you agree with both those guys? http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=335333

  18. 1 SPOT remaining !!!!! Brand new dynasty league organized and operated by me, who will be commissioner.......for those interested, please read the entire "League Constitution" here and hit me with a PM only if you're serious about joining....not looking for any "lookie-loos", only hard-core fanatics are urged to reply (and smack is not only tolerated but encouraged, just keep it about the league)......and yeah, the stakes are pretty high and the commitment runs deep, but the rewards are also sweeter than molasses..... Field Of Green Dynasty League Welcome, The objective of the Field Of Green league is to assemble a group of serious, astute, fantasy football fanatics to participate in a straight-forward, dynasty format league. The league is structured so as to reflect this ideal, and the true GM in all of us can appreciate the dynasty format – building a championship contender from scratch, keeping as many players as you like from season to season, rookie redrafts, and pulling the strings to make it all come together in your own vision. We are asking for a 5 year commitment beginning with the inaugural draft of 2007 (See League Fees in league description). The quality of a league is first and foremost about the owners. What makes a great fantasy league owner? Some of the characteristics are 1) following the rules, but first of all, be aware of the league rules (trade guidelines, scoring, starting lineups, rosters, etc.); and 2) being an active participant - once the draft is done, I have yet to see a team that can manage itself; and 3) competitiveness, play to win and stay to the end, especially in dynasty, fortunes may change in a hurry; and 4) exhibiting true sportsmanship, it’s not necessary that everyone in a league be the best of buddies, in fact, I have found that leagues work best when most owners are not close associates. But it is totally necessary for all to conduct themselves in the ways of the great sportsmen, who are in it for the love of the game/competition/money, or whatever the case may be; and lastly, 5) being accountable. Whether it’s league fees that are due, correspondence that is required (e.g., a league vote), trades that are proposed, etc., be timely, responsible, and above suspicion. And lastly, we believe a good commissioner is best when he is not too visible due to the league running smoothly with clearly defined rules/guidelines, but most of all, having quality, dedicated, upstanding owners. But when it’s time to act, prudent and fair justice is the ultimate goal in resolving issues. To all who would like the chance to participate in this league, which I guarantee will be entertaining, loads of fun, and full of diverse, dynamic, competitive owners, please drop us a line (i.e., email) to get on the mailing list at either oak_assassin@yahoo.com or allan_fern@yahoo.com Monthly (at least) updates will be sent out to prospective owners until the due date for initial fees to keep the league apprised of any proposed modifications/additions to the league rules/agenda/by-laws. We look forward to providing/enjoying a great fantasy football league experience for years on end. 19. I have a ground-breaking new league (redraft) that has been put together to allow for creativity in a challenging and competitive league that provides a change-of-pace to the standard leagues I've seen and participated in to-date. What makes this league so different? There are 2 main features: 1) The incredible flexibility of starting lineups, 11 different combinations are possible to allow room for creative strategists who don't necessarily want to follow the norm of practically being forced to draft 2-to-3 RBs right out of the gate.....in The Presidential Suite, you now have options; and 2) At least one owner will be voted out of the league for the following season, "Survivor" style elimination process for all non-playoff qualifiers (League Administrators excluded).....it's nothing personal, if you aren't pulling your weight and competing to the fullest or are a dull, dead-beat type of owner, you gotta go....and even if all 12 owners are great, active, and really likeable, at least 1 still has to go, but will be eligible for re-instatement after a 1-year banishment......in here, the mantra is "ELECTED NOT SELECTED"........ So, if you're ready and willing to step up for a fun, strategic, and ultra-competitive league, shoot me a PM and/or respond here with any comments/questions that you may have concerning the league. Additionally, the startup Field Of Green Dynasty League ($300/season) has 1 franchise available for it's inaugural season, to kickoff in mid-July (fees due, draft order determined) and draft in early-to-mid Aug. Anyone interested in this league is advised to be in for the long haul once you sign-on (5-yr commit) and you best bring your ultra "A" game (Alternates are also needed, so don't be discouraged if filled as someone almost always drops out once fees are due and I'll immediately start contacting my list of alternates at the deadline)......F.O.G. II ($200 dynasty) will be launched in '09.....maybe '08 depending upon feedback...... If you're interested, you can email me for a copy of either league constitution allan_fern@yahoo.com oak_assassin@yahoo.com The Presidential Suite (Redraft) The Field Of Green (F.O.G.) Dynasty

  22. I am not a regular poster or anything, but i do browse around in ANTS, footballguys and here. A few ppl in ANTS have vouched for myself and the league administrator (who will handle all the fees). I have a few leagues in ANTS and myfantasyleague with some of the regular ants posters. We have gotten a few people from various sites and just like what i mentioned on earlier posts above, have no hesitation of giving my work, cell# to anyone who would like to get in. I understand that this league is not everyone and the sole purpose of the league is to get a bunch of hardcore competitive active guys in a relatively higher stakes league. We have 9 ppl signed up on the league page in mfl and have 1 email commitment. Just like what i said on my earlier post....i understand the hesitation since i'm relatively new here. I make 6-figure income (just barely though ), and stealing from ppl aint gonna make me WEALTHY. My morals and reputation are worth more than that. Come on in, we got 2 spots left.....trying to get this league to be one of the most COMPETITIVE leagues around !!!!! As you can tell, a lot of THOUGHT has been put in the league rules and several teams onboard have put in their 2cents on how to possibly improve the league setup. if you're seriously interested, here's our email oak_assassin@yahoo.com - league administrator or allan_fern@yahoo.com - myself (commish) GolfJim above (on this thread) is in. I have spoken to him and is exactly the type of owner we want -- CONFIDENT owner who talks smack right from the get-go

    Got one quick question....

In the dynasty league i joined last yr, initial roster is 22, and even with that, Waiver-wire action is there. The Leon Washington/Owen Daniels/Devery Henderson were in the waiver and make a good pick-ups in dynasty leagues. It's a different animal than redrafts and actually more fun. I only play 1 redraft league myself and play mostly dynasty --> it's more for the hardcore football guys.
