My rb's are Marion Barber, Larry Johnson and Lendale White. I'm considering making an offer to the Steven Jackson owner. Larry Johnson and Calvin Johnson for Steven Jackson and Amani Toomer. He still has Willis McGahee and Earnest Graham. I feel like Steven Jackson could have a much better second half of the season with a soft schedule, returning o-line and better conditioning. This is assuming he stays healthy - just tweaked his groin again. I'm fearful of Marion Barber getting lots of rest in weeks 15 and 16 if they continue to win. I feel like the upside of Steven Jackson over Larry Johnson is considerable. The SJAX owner needs help at WR and he may bite with an offer of Calvin Johnson. I know Calvin's a beast, but the unstability of that offense scares me. Amani Toomer is very consistent. My other wr's are Antonio Bryant, Bryant Johnson, Eddie Royal, Isaac Bruce, Bobby Engram and the Bengals Chris Henry, due to come back. I realize I don't have any stud wr's, but I look for consistency. Witten is my TE and McNabb is QB. Would you attempt this?

Anyone in a predicament similar to mine? With the Jacksonville offensive not performing, I'm sitting the Jag Def/ST against the Colts. I'm leaning towards picking up the Falcons Def/ST or the SF Def/ST. Atlanta should control the clock a bit..imo. Keeping the Chief offense off field and when they're on the field, Thigpen could give up an interception or two, or three. on the other hand.... Martz should be giving the Def. Coordinator a few pointers on how to stop the Detroit scheme and mess with Kitna's skull.

The difference between the two is the run game of Atlanta. They've shown to be more explosive with Turner and Norwood. KC couldn't open a hole on a porn set.

I agree. Plus, brothers are usually quicker to forgive and forget and if you value Owner #1's friendship and keeping him as an owner in the future, I'd just reverse it.

I plugged in Atlanta and feel pretty good about it this week. CajunBadger, IMO, dropping San Diego for Buffalo or some other Def this week and then hope that you can pick em up later is a mistake. Keep in mind, the Jets offense is still new to Favre, timing with his wr's is still uncertain. San Diego has a couple INT artists that will take advantage. Stick with em.

I'm predicting Warner gets banged up this week. The Skins are focusing on disrupting wr routes and putting lots of pressure on Kurt. I'm not hoping he gets hurt, but he sometimes tends to hold onto the ball too long waiting for wr's to get downfield. Granted every defense tries to put pressure on him, but I've got a feeling the Skins are gonna be successful. Hopefully he'll be patient, get rid of the ball early when needed and not try and force anything.

This could be a good play and I see it being lower scoring than people might think. The Cardinals D held Portis to 43 yards on 18 carries last year, although he scored 2 touchdowns. The Redskins offense should play ball control, giving a heavy dose of Portis and Betts to keep the Cardinals offense off the field. The Redskins punter, Durant Brooks has been struggling with short, low hang time punts, which could give Arizona's punt returner, Steve Breaston a shot to take it to the endzone.

If you can keep the Chargers D and still pick up the Bills D, I'd do it. I wouldn't drop them this quick. If the Chargers turn it around, they'll do it with their D.

It'd be nice if the Buffalo Def was an option for me. Atlanta and SF seemed to be the best two left. Titans and Seahawks? That's a tough choice, maybe it's time to start the Titan's. The Texan's have absolutely no run game.

Good point. Atlanta's D could be the safer choice, especially with the Chief's implosion and an inexperienced QB.

I just unloaded Braylon Edwards and Chester Taylor for McNabb and Eddie Royal. My #1 wr is now Calvin Johnson. My other QB's were Hasselbeck and Schaub, so I wanted an improvement. He was holding Big Ben, Kurt Warner and McNabb, so could afford to give up McNabb. Neither one of us owns AP. The AP owner's a rookie in our league and never handcuffed. He feels like Braylon will still end up with good numbers, at least better than Eddie Royal. I like my chances with Royal and the Broncos offense. I read in an earlier thread this year that many posters thought Braylon would be the #1 bust this year. I'm starting to agree.

Sounds like his goal is to become a Cowboy some day! Maybe could they could do a straight trade for Barber right now.

If you've got a spot on your roster and the Marshawn Lynch owner hasn't picked up Fred Jackson, take a second look at this kid. The Bills released the servicable veteran Anthony "A-Train" Thomas for a reason. That REASON is Fred Jackson. Fred played two seasons with the Sioux City Bandits of the United Indoor Football League where he was named league MVP and Offensive Player of the Year in 2005. He set a United Indoor Football League record with 1,770 yards and 53 touchdowns in 2005. I know, I know....it was in the freakin United Indoor Football League. I agree. I was in the 5th spot and went Barber. My bro got Jackson with the 7th. I dread what I might hear all season if I'm wrong, but I went with my gut, the more high powered offense which offers the least risk. IMO

I feel like LJ is going to be a strong RB2. Don't read to much into these preseason games. The KC coaching staff will not show their hand in preseason, especially with the limited weapons available and how they might use them. I'd be worried if he was my RB1, but a good choice at 2. I got him in Round 3 at 3.29 in a 12 team league. I also took MBIII over S. Jackson in Round 1, 5th Pick. That actually has me worried, but I like to roll the dice a little. What the hell. Round 2 - Braylon Edwards and Round 4 - Megatron

To early to take Lendale in the 3rd at the 4 spot. I would have taken a stud wr there and waited to see if Lendale dropped to the 4th. wr lineup looks shaky....risky... Your top 5 picks all have a higher degree of injury risk. Addai pulled himself out of games too often around the goalline last year for my taste and dissapeared when I needed him in the end. Final draft analysis:

Could CJ's shoulder injury be worse than we know? ....or maybe they're dealing CJ to the Fins for R. Brown. mmmmm?
