    Depth VS Balls

Depth vs Balls. I am considering trading A Bradhsaw and two bench players (AJ green and antonio gates) for Miles Austin, Dallas Clark, and MJD's Backup in a 12 team ppr league. Would leave me with a romo, mjd, d-jax, fitz, austin, jimmy graham starting lineup going forward. Would you choose depth or going balls out?

Value of D thomas vs Bradshaw

I am in a one player keeper league where you forfeit draft picks for keeping a player for up to two years. Full 1 point per reception scoring system. I am trying to trade either bradshaw or thomas for a receiver, but cant decide who has better value given my circumstances. I can keep Bradshaw for one more year by forfeiting a 5th round pick. Thomas is unproven, but can keep him 2 more years for a 15th round pick. I am 2-1 and dont want to throw away my current season in the process, but if Thomas pans out, then this would be a great keeper going forward. Opinions ??

    Roster Thoughts?

Unfortunately those are the league roster requirements.......I dont like it either but it has always been this way and is a money league. I am actually at the max for each position

12 team league/ 1 point per reception/ 6 point td's,including qb's / bonus points for scoring plays of 40+ yards. have to start 1 qb, 1 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex (rb/wr), 1 te, 1 def, 1 k DRAFTED IN THE 10 SPOT qb- Romo, Bradford rb - MJD, Bradshaw, Daniel Thomas wr - Fitzgerald, D. Jackson, Amendola, AJ Green te - Gates, J Graham def - Giants, JAGS k - Hanson, Bryant

M Wallace vs Bradshaw - Keeper Question

Thanks for the feedback....anyone else have an opinion?
  6. One player keeper league, forfeiting draft picks. 1 point per reception scoring system. 12 team league, bonus points for long td's Mike Wallace, wr, PIT forfeiting #63 overall (6th round) or Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, NYG forfeiting #82 (7th round) Personally, I really think that Wallace is gonna be a top 5 wr this year, but since I am drafting 10th overall, I like the idea of having a reliable RB squared away, giving me all of my options at the 10 spot. If i keep a WR, then I am almost locked in to taking the best available RB at 10, with A Foster and Mccoy already off the board (kept by previous teams) it could be ugly. It is also worth noting that we have to start 1 RB, 2 WR's, and 1 flex RB/WR in our lineups, so in theory I could only need one RB and start 3 WR (not bad in a PPR league)on a weekly basis. If I lock up bradshaw, then I have a chance at snagging two very good WR's at 10 and 15. Opinions anyone?

    TOP 5 next year?

I hope your right....I have gotten the 6th spot many times somehow in my draft (we draw for position) and I would take mjd over westbrook or lt next year in a heartbeat.....i do play in a ppr league though

Official "Who's getting rested next week" thread

Im glad you think my league is retarded...but we started it over 10 years ago, before coaches did this resting your starters crap....like another poster said, 12 team balanced schedule. I am not complaining, just trying to win some money and bragging rights, which are huge when you play against the same guys year after year for a decade. People fly in from Hawaii, California, Nevada, Maine, and Washington DC to get to Florida every year for a "draft weekend" which includes golf, a NFL preseason game, and some serious trash talking. When you win a league, you probably stand in front of a mirror naked and flex or something......I get a huge trophy, a fat check, all my old buddies have to call me champ for a year, I have my beer and food served to me at our annual pre-draft golf tourney, as well as at the draft.....and I get to make the league beotch (official name for the worst record from the season before) wear a pink shirt of my choice at the draft (the key is to get one that says something really odd and make sure its at least 1 to 2 sizes too small). I like my league for many reasons.....and couldn't give a sh*t if you approve or not.

Official "Who's getting rested next week" thread

Rolling with Thigpen, P Thomas, Benson, Marshall, Jennings, Daniels, Stover, Colts D in my title game (WK17) My roster is in my signature...anyone have any better ideas?
  10. I will be playing for the dough next week and have concerns....a few years ago andy reid did me in by sitting westbrook in a late game after after clinching something during the early games.....cost me a title. I know some of you are in the same situation...so who gets benched next week? I can say that Dungy has a history of pulling starters in meaningless games right before the playoffs.....who else might be affected?

    Fantasy Playoffs are finally here

um......thanks I appreciate your input, but I was asking for next week. I stated my lineup options in my post. It basically comes down to Holmes(ten) vs daniels for my flex mcnabb(@ was) vs thigpen(home vs miami) CJ plays pittsburgh, so MJD (vs INDY) and Thomas (@ DET) are easily my best rb options I cant sit marshall or jennings for any reason, they are my best players I was more interested in the studs vs matchups in the playoffs argument, and a overall view of my team. would you think this is a tough matchup if you were playing me?
  12. The Fantasy playoffs are finally here, and I was lucky enough to secure a first round bye by being the #1 seed...... But I have some difficult decisions ahead of me : QB - Thigpen & Mcnabb RB - CJ & MJD & P Thomas (I put addai on the injured list and picked up thomas just for his matchup against the lions next week) WR - Jennings & Marshall & Holmes & Muhammed & Randel EL TE - Daniels DEF - Colts & Eagles K - Stover & Lindell Do most of you guys prefer to try and play matchups in the playoffs since you are 1 and done, or do you stick to the studs theory of always playing your best players? I am in a 1 PPR league, with bonus points for long TD's. I am pretty confident heading into next week, but I wonder what you guys think. My toughest decisions are at who to start at QB and I can only start 2 RB's each week. I do have the ability to start 3 wr's instead of 2 wr and a TE, but that is a toss up between daniels and holmes since holmes has been crap all year. Would you feel confident with my lineup in my scoring format? and do you have any suggestions on my lineup for next week at these positions that I am having trouble with?

To those who think where you draft matters

This was not an attack on you personally, your post and comment were used as an example. You may understand how FF really works, but there are plenty of people who do use this excuse when they have a bad season, this post post was just intended to show them the truth.

To those who think where you draft matters

this was from another topic i read on this site today....a did you make the playoffs, and if so, where did you draft type of thing you always hear these types of things at this time of year...i am just challenging the excuse makers
  15. by the way these are the records in my league and where they drafted from : EAST Division Team............... W..... L Drafted 4th........10....4 Drafted 1st........8......6 Drafted 11th......7......7 Drafted 5th........7......7 CENTRAL Division Team............... W..... L Drafted 9th........9......5 Drafted 12th......7......7 Drafted 2nd.......6......8 Drafted 3rd.......2.......12 WEST Division Team............... W..... L Drafted 6th.....10........4 Drafted 7th.......8.......6 Drafted 10th.....6.......8 Drafted 8th.......4.......10 Doesn't do much for your theory on needing to draft early.
