    I'm here to help...ask away.

Dude...I've been wrestling with this one for a couple days. My draft is tonight and I need to decide on my keeper strategy. The keeper rules are: You had to have drafted the player (and he had to stay on your roster all year) that you are keeping this year. You lose the round in this years draft in which the player was taken last year. So my dilemna is this: I have the 8th overall pick. I have the enviable choice between keeping Tiki (drafted in the first round last year) or Caddy in the 3rd round. I'm thinking that I am going to keep Caddy in the 3rd, draft an elite WR like Chad Johnson in the first and then get a Kevin Jones type (top 2nd tier RB) on the swing back up (the 13th pick). It's either that or keep Tiki with the 8th pick in the draft, jump on the next tier of backs with the 13 pick and hope to get a very good WR at pick 28 (Chris Chambers maybe). Other projected keepers: LT (1st round), LJ (7th round), Edge (1st round), Ronnie Brown (5th round), Chester Taylor (13th round), Willie Parker (12th round), Fitzgerald (8th round), S. Smith (4th round), Owens (3rd round). Just trying to weigh which strategy nets me the best value. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

    which combo do you prefer

I'm going to cast the dissenting vote for Droughns and Chambers. I think it's fairly safe to say that Culpepper can't be any worse than what Chambers had to deal with last year, so I think its not unreasonable to see him get at or near those numbers again. Droughns does what he does. In my league (fairly standard scoring), Droughns outperformed Parker 195 to 168. I don't care about his legal troubles...those things have a habit of going away or at least being put on the backburner until the season ends. I think Droughns has a better year, adding a 3-4 TD's. Just my opinion...I could be totally insane.

    Eenie Meenie Minnie oh NO!

I agree. I think you should definitely grab a WR with that pick. I don't know if that receiver is Driver tho, I think Ward would be a better choice simply because Pitt has the better all around team. Considering Driver had a pretty good last year with a crappy GB team, I don't think you can go wrong with either WR.
  5. I'm a 10 team league. 1 keeper per year. Fairly normal scoring. The keeper caveat: You had to have drafted the player last year that you are keeping this year (and he had to stay on your roster all year). You would lose the round this year that you took the player in last year. In this instance, I took Tiki in the 1st, Caddy in the 3rd... Thanks!
