Official "Are The Colts Resting Players?" Thread
natelevi replied to TwentyFourSeven's topic in FFToday Board
FWIW: Freeney said on the radio that certain colts players are on a "pitch count." Can't quote the source obviously, it was the radio. But there's something else to create some more doubt! Happy Holidays everyone and GL -
Well put. I'm not a huge Romo fan, but today's loss cannot be pinned on Romo at all. I kept waiting for a bad throw leading to an interception but that did not happen. Romo definitely did his job. It is fairly startling at how poorly Eli played and still managed to win the game. That says more about the Cowboys defense than the Giants offense to me.
-
I will start worrying when I play for the Eagles. I just watch the games. By your logic, you should worry about your Patriots losing today. again. I know you're bitter about Eli taking your undefeated Pats to the shed in the superbowl, but really - I would recommend moving on ace.
-
Romo has played fine today - all this game tells me is that not only is Romo capable of choking during December (not saying he did today), so is the rest of the Dallas Cowboys. I would be very worried about the remaining schedule if I were a Cowboys fan.

Nice...I'm an Eagles fan and even I appreciate this comment haha

if a NFL player cannot play harder, and still gets beat - he deserves to lose. This is not pop warner. This is not a league where everyone gets a trophy no matter what. Each team gets at least 10 or 11 possessions during regulation. Can't get it done, overtime is what both teams deserve. Sick of whiners complaining about overtime. PLAY BETTER.
-
I am not a fan of either teams. If you don't want to go to lose in overtime, or want to avoid overtime entirely. Play better defense. Sick of all the "poor me" overtime talk.

Let me just say this; You have many strong points. I am a Christian myself. I always have to apologize for Christians, but I never have to apologize for Jesus. Jesus would most certainly give Vick a second chance - whether you believe he is the son of god or not. I agree entirely that Vick should get a chance to make up for his mistakes. Look; this is not about religion, this is not about who is better and who is not. I am not better than Vick, and I am not better than any of you who post on this board. People deserve a chance to make good on their promises. I do not like what he has done - but it's not up to me or any of us to judge him. On a separate note; It was catholic priests who molested children, not christian pastors, however I'm sure there are leaders in every religion (and obviously, those outside of religion) who are guilty of this crime. In addition to that - I'm afraid that every where we look, we will see folks who are corrupt and make mistakes. Religious people are no exception. In fact - going to church every Sunday doesn't say anything about how moral people are. I go to church every Sunday, but I'm just a big sinner and church goers claiming to be anything else aren't being truthful. I am truly sorry that there are so many religious folks out there not leading by example. Thanks for your post and I just hope Vick makes good on his promises.

I don't know what to think of Dallas' woes...We all know the talent they have on offense. I don't even need to go there. But where is their defense? Please don't play the injury game because that is NFL wide. What about the Giants, certainly they've had their share of major injury problems. I don't really care how the Cowboys do one way or another - I just find it hard to believe that even if they make the playoffs they do much. And not because they haven't won a playoff game since 1402, I think that stat is overplayed. They need to stop high powered offensive teams and the first half of the season they haven't. Not saying they won't or cannot but they need to show something. Tony Romo can only play offense. When they start playing solid defense -- then the NFC and the NFL should worry. Until then...

Do the loss of A. Thomas at LB help the matchup for Jones at all? I'm starting him regardless, but I figured this could help at least a little bit. Good luck T.J. starters
-
Hey -- I just traded DMac, Boldin, and C. Perry For Ben Ro, LT, and Reggie Wayne I have portis and T. Jones for my other backs, and I have B. Marshall (Wayne now) and Lee Evans. My other two QB's are Aaron Rodgers and Kurt Warner. I figured LT"s upside is worth the risk, plus I feel comfortable swapping boldin for Wayne. The owner has been aching to get rid of LT so I figured screw it i'll take a chance.

McNabb Moss Boldin Portis Perry LJ Smith L. Evans Thomas Jones Crosby Indy Def
-
All i have to say is you guys are making me feel a whole lot better about dropping campbell for warner via W.W. last night. I have DMac and A. Rodgers, feeling a lot better at QB with Warner starting.
-
I read posts saying Smith will be more consistent this year. That is somewhat misleading. Detroit is not a good team. They are not going to be able to run the ball 25-30 times a game because they have a poor defense. This much we know. I've had many a starters on my team (including det. RB's) that consistently gave me sub-par games. I'll take my chances on a superior athelete that has a strong chance to take the bulk of the carries. Go with Stewart folks.

Pick 10 in 10 Team draft: Me thinks I have too many ?'s at RB
natelevi posted a topic in FFToday Board
I'm playing in a league of good friends (this is i believe our 5th year?) Some guys know what's going on, but most guys are not draft experts to say the least and typically draft off of "top 300" draft guides and that sort of thing. However, this is how I did (standard scoring, .5ppr 4pts QB TD and 6pts TD for everyone else)...Oh and our bench is HUGE...not sure how I feel about that. QB: DMac, J. Campbell, A. Rodgers RB: Portis, McGahee, T. Jones, Andre Hall, Pierre Thomas, Jonathan Stewart, Chris Perry WR: Randy Moss, Boldin, Lee Evans, Brandon Marshall, Derrick Mason, DeSean Jackson TE: Owen Daniels, LJ Smith K: Crosby Def: Indy I'm hoping my WR corp. is strong and possibly use them for trade bait down the road...In a perfect world... -
It's favre - that aside I think he's worth a look. Certainly above Campbell and Rodgers

Pick 10 in 10 Team draft: Me thinks I have too many ?'s at RB
natelevi replied to natelevi's topic in FFToday Board
bump - should i look to package some wr's for a more stable rb? -
I had third pick in a 10-team league. How did I do?
natelevi replied to philiparthurmoore's topic in FFToday Board
Pretty good draft I'd say. I like Santonio - think he will be solid. QB situation could be a bit shakey, however you might have some depth else where and work something out for an upgrade down the line. But hey - you can't have all perennial all stars at every position so I'd feel good about your draft. good luck! -
Generally speaking i'd always start a rb in my flex but this week KJ has a tough matchup at min, mcgahee @ patriots. Branch has a good matchup in philly - but do i go against conventional wisdom and start branch over my RB's? the league is PPR standard scoring thanks and leave a link
-
So first of all here is my team: QB: ben ro, garcia WR: Roy Williams, Braylon, Santiono, Branch RB: LT2, Westy, McGahee, KJ TE: Shockey, V.Davis K and Def: don't matter his team; QB: Peyton, Favre (he starts peyton) WR: Holt, Chad J, Chambers, Marshall RB: Jamal Lewis, Warrick Dunn, W.P. TE: Dallas Clark standard ppr scoring Our playoffs are week 14 15 16, and I am 7-4 in first place with most points. It's very likely i'll win a week 14 bye, so basicially i'm looking for decent match ups for the playoffs. Is favre a major upgrade, worth giving up kevin jones? I'm afraid I don't know how johnson has been doing lately, but i know he has awesome matchups week 15 and 16 if I needed him, but probably wouldn't even start him. Should I stand pat and just hope for a good play off run or should i take this opportunity to upgrade my team? Today is our trade deadline. Leave a link, i'll post back

I would go with Hilliard on this one, def. stay away from curtis this week however. It's probably somewhat of a toss up between hilliard and davis to be honest http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=303244

I would go with Chris Henry - I think he's going to get more looks than Bowe, not to mention the QB situation isn't too solid in KC. Then I would go with Smith, as Vinny is throwing to him and seems to get the ball to him, think he's heathy too. good luck! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=303244

I like palmer based on the on the always start your studs theory - however schaub can look pretty good when A. Johnson is back plus the cle d is weak, but I would go with palmer still, unless you are looking to take a risk. I would also go with MJD, everytime i see him run he just knocks people over, i'd expect him to get in the endzone at least once finally i go with gonzo, he is KC's only reciever, and we know how young QB's like to lean on the TE. goodluck and thanks for posting on mine!
