NFL is a bad product this year

I was close to walking away years ago but FF bought me back in. Now i pretty much watch only because of FF. Dont have a real allegiance to any teams, just players on my fantasy team

    defensive player worth holding?

I'll say this. For my league, Collins is avg 22 pts a game. Next highest WW IDP player is avg 18 pts a game (T. Jefferson) and then next highest is Jatavis Brown at 16 pts a game. For my league, Collins isn't droppable because there is a 4-6 point falloff to the next best option. Thats a pretty big difference. Who else is on WW in your league? If there are other solid options you may be ok to drop him, but if not I'd hold

    defensive player worth holding?

Well that totally depends on your scoring. For instance in my league, a good IDP perfomance is 20 pts, and the stud LBs usually avg close to that every week. A good team weekly score is right around 190-200 pts in that same league. In my instance, it would pretty much guarantee a loss to not have a defensive player as you are likely throwing away about 10% of your potential point total for the week. However, if the scoring isn't as heavy on IDPs, you could maybe swing it. On the same note, my kicker is Tucker and I'm thinking of going without a K this week as a replacement K is only projected for about 8 pts, so may not be worth the rostter sacrifice.

    defensive player worth holding?

I just picked up Collins after his performance on Sunday and plan on holding him through the bye. Is there anyone else you can drop? In my league he's the #1 defensive player for the year. Can you hold Henry until the thursday game and then drop him after that if possible?

    0-1 with how many points!?

Scored 236 and lost to a team that put up 277. For reference,an average score is about 175 in this league, crappy is 150 or lower and good is 200+. Nobody else other than me and my opponent scored more than 200 for the week, 12 team PPR with IDP and high scoring defenses. I lost starting Cooks, Matthews, Evans, Dwayne Allen and David Johnson. Throwing games for seeding...alls fair?

I think the main reason people have some issues with H2H leagues is because it is possible for the best team to not even make the playoffs. Not going to happen in real life football, but certainly possible in fantasy. You cant always use real life football comparisons to FF because real-life football has WAY less luck involved than fantasy. You can have the best team in FF by a good deal and still be screwed by luck. I dont like completely removing the H2H aspect of fantasy because that drives alot of the fun in the game, but trying to mitigate some of the luck involved with H2H makes sense most times. I'm a big fan of the 2 wins scoring method where the top scoring half of the league gets a W and the bottom scoring half gets a L every week and then getting a second W or L every week depending on the outcome of your matchup. Wish this was an option on more of the mainstream FF sites

    Throwing games for seeding...alls fair?

Man that seems harsh to the bad teams in the league.

    Foster...again?

Owned him in all my leagues. RIP to my fantasy season

Anyone know the last time Oakland was a favorite?

Exact same boat. Bad Brady and MIA D last week, going all in on Oakland week 4

    Karlos Williams Cho Cho Train

He runs like a damn bulldozer and has scored in every game this year. Hes finding a spot in my lineup somehow someway next week against the Giants

How long has everyone been around on FFToday?

Since 06. That was my first year playing fantasy
  16. the_future420

    Benjamin

The only way I would feel comfortable starting him is if I was in a return yardage league. Need to see at least one week where he gets a decent amount of targets first
  17. the_future420

    Tevin Coleman

Trying to trade him in my PPR league, but he looked good

Lockett should be locked in your starting lineup in return yardage leagues IMO

    Where would you draft Foster?

Drafted him in the 3rd round of my high $ 12-teamer as my 1st RB. My mom always told me, "Sometimes she won't believe it, so you just have to pull it out and prove it"
  20. My main work league has no kickers. I hate it. Only because that leaves one less position that people will reach for several rounds too early. Thank god they still reach for DEF though

    Survivor Pool - Week 2

Balt is @ Oakland this week At first glance I'm thinking NO, but I just dont know. TB has to be fired up after getting shelled last week, and I feel like Bucs/Saints game are always closer than expected. Most people will take either NO (vs TB) or MIA (@JAX) this week, but tbh I dont feel great about either of those. I'm thinking CAR at home against the Texans is going to be my pick. I just cant see Houston scoring a ton of points in that one (though CAR probably wont either)
  22. Both of my main leagues are leagues where we get points for return yards. 20 and 25 yrds per point in each league respectively. Though not a huge amount, it can sometimes be the difference between a guy going undrafted versus being useful or bump a guy from flex territory to every week starter. Time and time again I have been able to draft guys in these leagues who would go undrafted in normal leagues becasue they aren't on peoples radars. Guys like Sproles, Cribbs in years past haev been my MVPs in some season because of the bumps they get from return yardage. So for those of you in return yardage leagues, who are you targeting? I would like to get Spiller as I have a feeling he could have some return yards. Anybody else though? I haven't watched much preseason so I'm not sure who are the backup RBs and WR2s and 3s that have a a chance to score points

Points for Return Yards? Who gets a bump?

This is from rotoworld about a month ago but Jarvis Landry is expected to keep the Dolphins' primary punt and kickoff returner jobs. Landry is going to log heavy minutes this season as a near-100-percent player on offense and multiple-phase special teamer. Landry finished 2014 fourth in the NFL in kick return average and 14th on punt returns. Landry will offer a ton of appeal in leagues that award points for both catches and return yards. Aug 5 - 2:59 PM Source: Miami Herald I'm taking him in the 3rd no matter what tbh. I had plans of going WR/WR/RB most likely if things went to plan in my draft but tbh that is a game changer for my league scoring. probably going to go RB-RB-Landry now
  24. the_future420

Points for Return Yards? Who gets a bump?

Holy cow, just looked up his stats from last year and he had over 1100 total return yards. I'm in a PPR league and would be fine with him as a WR1 based on that combined with his expected progression

Keeper league - hard time deciding on 3rd keeper

If theres no round value associated with each, then McCoy is the drop. Actually, even if there is, McCoy is stil the drop
