Quit yer whining - at least you made the playoffs My RBs this year were: S Alexander, C Taylor, L Jordan, D Davis, and D Williams Glass half full: I suppose I could have traded for Portis, too PS - also had Colston, Berrian, and Jennings starting during the games they got injured with 0 or 1 short reception. Too bad my league doesn't have an All-IR-Draft award payout!

Depends on the situation, but I'd typically play him unless a loss might mean the difference between making and missing the playoffs. You should have a pretty good idea of how your league might look Tuesday morning. If the win is important and points aren't, don't hesitate to sit Hass. Otherwise, play him and hope for the best. At least Hass tends to be somewhat consistent and GB secondary isn't great.

Washington and Indy - both ranked bottom 5 in my league (WAS is dead last) Both were drafted as primary D's (12 team league). Both were dropped by week 4.
-
Ugh - started Jennings the game he went out after one catch. Did the same with Berrian. Would have won this week if I had started any receiver on my roster other than Berrian. At least my start/sit decision becomes easier for the next few weeks. Injuries have decimated my team: D Davis, S Alexander, D Williams, L Jordan, G Jennings, B Berrian. I'm 5-4, but with Lundy as my#2RB my chances of making the playoffs look pretty grim.

At this level of competition, you never let up on an opponent. As an Oilers fan and a Northwestern fan I think I can speak to this. Hell, ask Denny Green about "playing conservatively" with a big lead. As far as I can remember, Chicago didn't score at all in the second half. In professional sports especially, I don't think it's "classless" to keep giving 100%. Would San Fran players and fans have felt better if the Bears starters all came out for the second half dressed in street clothes? Now that would have been classless.

Once Alexander is back, Lundy will be riding bench for me again. I've also got C Taylor, D Williams, and L Jordan. I may hold on to Lundy, though. If the Madden Curse strikes again, Lundy's playoff schedule looks OK - TEN, @NE, IND. If I'm fortunate enough to make it to the finals, and Alexander hasn't shown much, Lundy at home vs. Indy's second string is a pretty good matchup.

Short of a losing streak, I don't see Cutler seeing any action. If Denver goes up 3+ scores, he might be put in for a drive or two, but with Plummer at the helm and Denver's schedule I don't see any blowouts (maybe @OAK if the Broncos run all day). Arizona and Tennesse went to their young phenoms early because their playoff hopes were at best circling the drain. I suppose one could point to the Dallas situation, but Romo has some experience and Parcells said from day 1 he wanted to get Romo in this season. I don't get the same vibe from Shanny with regards to Cutler. At this point it's all conjecture, but I think you're reading too much into Cutler's comments.

Trade was made prior to the 'Monster Weekend' - doesn't look so bad now, does it?

Those people who are starting LUNDY this week must have.

In addition to SA, I have LaMont and DeAngelo - also drafted Dom Davis but dropped him when I learned he'd be out for the season. Chester was my only healthy back, so I'm starting Lundy. Surprised I got him off WW, was sure I'd be stuck with JJ Arrington. -
Had to bring this one back up. The guy who traded Bell away put Crumpler into his starting lineup and posted the season high weekly total (109), outscoring the next best by almost 25 points! Good example of why you should never veto a trade, I guess. On a positive note, Team A felt so demoralized about having to start Watson at TE that I traded him Winslow for Grossman (yes, I was a Bledsoe owner).

I tend to play WW roulette with kickers. Just dropped Akers for Rayner, but may only hold him 3-4 weeks and pick up dome/fair weather kickers for the playoff run. Keep in mind this guy has home games against Detroit and Minnesota during most league playoffs. Green Bay in December is not a friendly place for kickers.

The last WR to catch a TD pass in Arrowhead Stadium was...

[smartass] Eddie Kennison caught a TD in Arrowhead last week. [/smartass] Must be a VERY significant homefield advantage. I started KC defense at Pittsburgh when Big Ben had 0TD, 7INT on the season. We all know how that ended up... -
Lack of depth/injuries a blessing in disguise?
EndAround replied to football_scooter's topic in FFToday Board
I agree up to a point, but mainly with WR since I have the most trouble playing matchups at that position. Jennings got hurt last week, which makes my decision between Walker, Berrian, and Colston easier for next week. However, after losing D Davis, S Alexander, D Williams to injury I had to start L Jordan along with C Taylor last week. Unless I can make a trade happen, I'll be starting Taylor with Lundy/Arrington off the WW next week. How happy do you think I am that I have limited options? -
I began the season with (start 2): D Davis S Alexander C Taylor R Droughns D Williams I traded Droughns for Jordan around week 3 - Droughns was injured and Jordan had a much easier schedule ahead of him. Had to start Jordan last week. Now that Chester is my only healthy back, I have picked up JJ Arrington (!?!) off the WW for next week. UGH! Had 4 solid feature backs (No RBBC) and one RBBC (Williams) behind an injury prone starter. Thought I was golden at RB, with tradeable depth. I also have Greg Jennings. Tried to acquire Hasslebeck last week but was turned down (thank goodness). Injuries have destroyed my season. 3-4 after MNF if Opponent's JJones gets over a point.

Would need to see drops/targets and passes not caught/targets It's possible that the ATL receivers don't have the most drops, but could have the most drops/targets. Steve Smith and DJax have more dropped passes than Crumpler, but I'd wager that they also get 2x-4x more opportunities per game.
