  1. So far I have: South Carolina +5.5 WINNER adding: San Jose St. -6.5 WINNER East Carolina +3 (2 units) WINNER Wake Forest +1.5 WINNER Hawaii team total over 47 LOSER
  2. Arkansas opened at -1.5 and now LSU is -1.5? Did I miss an injury or something? I've been concentrating on NFL Thanksgiving games so just wanna know if anyone knows the reason behind the line movement. I've been thinking of taking Ark ML (+110).
  3. I took BG ML (+220) for just a small amount to recoup my Monday Night Football losses. Hope they come through and get me back to even.
  4. I really like Rutgers tonight. I was only really confident in 3 games today, Mich St, Auburn, and Rutgers. This is one of their last real hurdles and they really wanna go undefeated to prove they belong. Think they'll win by a TD.
  5. Only going with a few so far: Mich St. +18 Auburn -3 (2 units) Rutgers -6.5 Good Luck Everyone. Gotta catch a nap before gametime.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be all over that. Not so much because I'm confident in it but because I really like stealing from old people. Seriously though, love this bet and Indy this week. Will post all my picks tomorrow. More worried about College games tomorrow.

Slap Youself in Here if you benched Ronnie Brown

It can't be worse than having Brandon Jacobs and Michael Turner as my RBs thinking that Tiki and LT would sit after destroying their easy oppostion and they'd get a chance to shine. And in my other league I sat Willie Parker and since Westbrook was on a bye, I started Jones-Drew and (again) Michael Turner. I really should be beaten with a hammer.

My picks were awful last week so I'm very glad I accidently slept til 2:30pm and missed the chance to call in my 1 right and 4 wrong picks. Too many look too good to be true but here's my picks for anyone that cares: Cin +3 - I know Baltimore's leading the division but I really think Cincinnati's gonna take the AFC North when it's all done. See them beating Baltimore straight up but like the insurance of 3 pts. Dal -3 - I've been on the Romo bandwagon since I picked him up in week 3 for a backup knowing that he'd be starting over Bledsoe soon enough. Sure he's new but I think the O-line is more motivated when he's in there and he gets the ball to T.O. and they should beat Wash by more than a FG. N.O. -1.5 - Tampa Bay is garbage Atl -6 - Atlanta's a bit unpredictable and it'll be hard for Michael Vick to stay on pace with how great he's done the past 2 weeks but I still see them beating Detroit by at least a TD. Minn -5.5 - They're not as bad as I thought they'd be and I think it's the line's pretty good considering they're playing S.F. Not totally confident in this pick though. Den +2.5 - I've been going crazy the past few hours (bored at work) trying to understand why Pitt is favored here. Ben R is starting which I think is a mistake. He can't seem to throw lately and I think Denver's D will shut down Willie Parker very easily. Last week Pitt lost to the worst of the AFC West and now they're going against the best in AFC West. I realize that they're playing in Pitt and I know it's tough to think that Pitt will lose 3 games in a row but I just can't see them beating Denver here. But there's a reason the line is the way it is. Line's aren't set for bookies to lose their a$$es and if something's too good to be true, it usually is. But I'll learn my lesson tonight I guess if Pitt ends up winning it. Indy +3 - I know Manning's record facing Brady is pretty rough but I just don't see Indy's first loss coming here. I think they'll lose to a team that they underestimate, like almost losing to Tenn earlier this season, not a team they've been gearing up for. Not too confident here either but if I had to make a move, I'll take the points. Oak/Sea over 37. I have Seattle's D in fantasy and they kill me every week by letting their opponent score a ton whether they win or lose. I know Hassleback and Alexander aren't there but I still see them going over 37. There's my picks if anyone cares. I honestly don't know my W-L for the season but I think I'm about 50%. Feel free to critique my thoughts. I could use the advice before I call these in.
  10. The way my guy does it is that you get 6 points both times (don't lose the half) but you have to win both. A push on either is a loss. The parlay is different where if you have a 3 team parlay and one game pushes, it goes to a 2 team parlay with the other games. Or a straight bet if one of the 2 is a push. But my guy charges 20% juice for teasers (10%) straight bet. Is that standard for teasers? I don't do them or know anyone that usually does so I didn't know if that was his way of scaring away people from doing teasers.

I fell in love with Green Bay giving points to Arizona. Figured Arizona was bad but not "Green Bay" bad. But if I've learned anything in the past 5 years, if something's too good to be true, it's best to avoid it at all costs. That's what's killed me the most. Staying away from that game. I do like however: San Fran getting points after a restful bye week. Won't win but should cover 16 or 17. Philly over Jax covering the -6.5, especially if Jax is on their downward spiral Seattle/KC over 38.5 I have Seattle's defense in fantasy and been getting destroyed from their high scores. Wanna take the over everytime they play this year. Pitt -9.5 is very scary but I think Pitt being 2-4 needs to make a move or they can count out playoffs. I think Cohwer will light a fire under their a$$ to perform. Nobody wants to lose to the Raiders, especially defending champs Anyone have any parlay suggestions? Have been messing with a cheap 3-team parlay the past few weeks trying to make some good $ but usually hit the first 2 games and lose the Sunday night or Monday night to ruin it.

    Seinfeld quiz

I got 10/14. I'm quite disappointed. I'll have to rewatch my dvds. The one I still can't believe is the cameo question. When did Letterman appear on Seinfeld?

Yesterday I was thinking of teasing MNF. Green Bay +17.5 teased with over 42.5 thinking that there's no way GB will lose by more than 17 points to Philly. But after watching Seattle get destroyed last night and knowing that Seattle is a LOT better than GB I'm thinking I may just pass on tonights game. Or just do a straight over bet on over 48.5

(I'm an Opie & Anthony/XM guy myself), I knew there was a reason I always follow the advice of GiantsRule and PhillyBear (and HurricaneDitka of course) Great minds think alike. I even check out the gambling thread on Wackbag (O&A fansite board). Not as dependable as fftoday but kind of a fun read. Good Luck with Saturday games everyone!

Hurricane- What do you think of Chicago, Carolina, and Baltimore. Like all of them today. Especially Chicago.

Maybe so but you can't argue with the YTD results. I'm still sticking with you and PhillyBear. On the few that you agreed on (and I piggybacked) I hit with Nevada and Hawaii and only lost with Florida (1H)

Not at all. I, along with others I'm sure, appreciate the time you put into it and it's kinda cool to read how you come about to some of your picks. Last week I bet the games you and Hurricane agreed on. Some of them I wasn't 100% confident on but you 2 had an Amazing week last week. I understand it's a risk to follow someone else, and it may not always pan out, but you definitely do your research and take it seriously. Lets hope for another week like that. Go Nevada tonight!!! (they do well, more $ for me to invest with on Saturday)

I went 3-3 last week so all I lost was the vig. Hoping to do better this week with the large point spreads. Here's my picks for what it's worth: Cin -10 I'm a Cleveland fan but I gotta bet with my head on this one. Cincinnati's offense is great. Should win by double digits. NYG +3.5 I see them winning outright but don't wanna press my luck with ML bet. Prefer having a field goal difference and still winning just in case. Oak +12.5 (.5 unit) Not too confident on this one but Baltimore is a very defensive team. The line is huge because Baltimore had a shut-out and Oakland got shut-out. But hopefully that lit a fire under Oakland's a$$ to preform better. Don't see them winning but hopefully keep it within 10. Only would bet this because I had a good day yesterday and feel confident. That's it for now. Playing it very safe til I get a feel for the season.

"The Last Laugh" or "Shooting Your Wad"?

I like having a lot left over going into the Monday night game. Kinda like batting last in baseball. If you're up, it doesn't matter and if you're down, you know what stats are needed by who to win it. Even though last week I had 4 players in Monday night and the only thing my opponent had was San Diego's defense. Between the shutout, and the 500 sacks they had, I got my a$$ kicked.

** Official College Football Wagering Thead **

I wanted to make my first post a sincere thank you and a bunch of a$$-kissing to PhillyBear and HurricaneDitka. I looked over your picks and found the ones that you both agree on and pick and choose certain games to go with (don't have the bankroll to do all of them, even if I made my units smaller). I know not every week will be as great as today (I learned the hard way the past couple weeks) but today was just amazing. The only thing I regret is I thought the Mich St. game was at 3:30 so I didn't get the bet in time. Following your advice I went with: Toledo WINNER Iowa St WINNER S. Florida-2 units WINNER Louisville WINNER Navy-2 units WINNER Nevada (1H)-3 units WINNER and I went on my own hunches with: Michigan WINNER Auburn WINNER Duke/V Tech under WINNER Iowa St. WINNER Florida LOSER USC PUSH Clemson-2 units WINNER So thanks again HD and PB (And everybody else that has advice. I read everyone's just been following HD a lot, riding the streak) Will start posting my hunches next week. Hopefully they'll continue to pay off.
