    Smart or cheap?

Yup. $$$$ keeps this from happening. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF THIS POS LOSES THIS WEEK. He deserves it.

    Lee Evans

I think he will have his best game this yr, which actually shouldnt be too hard to accomplish. AHenry is out, TNewman is not 100%, and Reeves is marginal. Throw in the fact that both RoyW and Hamlin stink in coverage, and I like Evans' chances of having a nice game. It also helps that Buffalo will be blown out by the 2nd half and will be throwing a ton. Id start him w/ confidence.

    Studs vs Replacements

Its the Studs vs the Replacements. Using a standard scoring system (6pts for TDs, 1 pt per 10 rec rush, 1 pt per 30 pass) I will see who will win between the Studs who have horrible matchups and have been benched in some leagues vs the Replacements who have great matchups and and are being relied upon by numerous teams. TEs, Ks, Ds not included. Note - QB was the toughest spot to pick, since most of the studs have great matchups or the "supposed" studs like Brees have given people more than enough reasons to bench them. Rivers is not a "stud", but it was him or Hasselbeck. WR was also tough. I dont hear many people saying that they are going to bench their stud WRs. Its usually RBs and QB that get most of the attention, although, Lee Evans has gone from stud to scrub in a few weeks and has even been dropped. Benching him is understandable, since you cant wait 4 weeks for your guys to produce. Studs QB - Rivers RB - S Alexander RB - F Gore WR - L Evans WR - T Holt Replacements QB - J Campbell RB - Dayne RB - SYoung (if Henry sits) Kenton Keith (option 2) WR - Randel El WR - P Crayton Extra The All-Disappointment Team in Week 5 QB - Brees (again) RB - Bush (again) RB - LJ (50+ yds came on last drive after SD conceded). People are jumping back on his bandwagon, but I think he struggles WR - Wayne - have to hope for a TD, since I think the yds could be low vs Ronde and the cover 2 WR - Bowe - Rashean Mathis will shut him down, assuming he lines up against him the whole gm.

    Never bench your stud theory

Good call. He's taken Deion's place. He obviously is sick, but teams just avoid his side completely. I remember CJ lighting him up before and TO had a big gm, but for the most part, teams just go to the other side. Bly has changed that a bit, but DWilliams used to get abused. Other shut down corners that have held top guys in check on a regular basis: Rashean Mathis Ty Law (at least a few yrs ago he did)

    Seriously.

Its not easy to do. Try projecting stats for 30+ guys at each position. After awhile, Im sure it becomes a tedious process. If you're going to use them as a resource just keep that in mind. You would probably be better off doing your own, which is what I do. I take the guys I am even considering to start, I look at recent performance, check stats and box scores of the opposing Ds, factor in some intangibles such as health of other players on the team, and go with it. When in doubt, go with your best players.

Not a very exciting year so far

LOLOL. Sometimes I prefer it. You watch the game without focusing on 1 or 2 guys, especially when your home team is involved.
  7. I guess you did not enter CBS.SPORTSLINE's free contest. You would be doing quite well. I think in 1st place actually. 1st place is $3K.

    Never bench your stud theory

Foster is one thing, but MJD? What has he done. And he is still in a RBBC, so not only will he lose touches to Taylor, but Jones is in line for most of the GL. I dont want to change your mind, cause I would feel like an a$$ if MJD finally blows up, but this is a perfect example of what happens nowadays. I know Gore has a tough matchup, but he will get the ball a lot, and is clearly capable of big plays and gl opps.
  9. Is it me, or does it seem like there haven't been too many games to get excited about. NE vs SD was one, but other than that I haven't really looked forward to any games. And not having Direct TV leaves you with mostly regional games. Getting NYJ vs Buf last week was painful. Week 6 Im not a fan of the Pats or Cowboys, but I cant wait for that game. Barring a miracle the Sunday both teams will be 5-0, which just adds to the excitement. I just hope the game is close, since nothing would surprise with this NE team. Wee9 I know Im looking far ahead, but we'll get another incredible matchup with NE vs Indy. Again, it's very reasonable for both teams to be undefeated.
  10. If there is ever a yr to go against it, this would be the one. However, Id still rather losewith my top guys than with guys off the waiver wire. Im just curious as to how many people will actually bench a SAlexander, Gore, etc for a Dayne (if Green sits), Pittman or Graham, LWhite, Selvin Young (if Henry sits) Dayne - Sure Miami is ranked last vs the run, but Dayne was actually extremely ineffective vs an awful Atl D with the exception of 1 run, and it seems like Kubiak lost confidence in him. If he struggles again in short yardage, I would not be surprised if Gado gets involved. And as bad as Mia is ranked, they actually did not do all that bad against some of the backs they've faced. Portis had an ok game, Julius Jones did nothing, Barber had 1 long run but was relatively held in check, TJones had just over 100, but nothing spectacular. I just think Oak wore them down by never passing. I dont think Hou will have that luxury. Pittman/Graham - Do you take a chance on a situation that is still unclear. Indy is still suspect vs the run as Den proved, but Id rather go with a guy who will get 20+ touches. I bet they both get 10-12 depending on how close the gm is, and I would guess that Graham will still get GL. LWhite - he still loses carries to Brown and the most you could really hope for would be 75 yds, since he doesnt have the speed to break a long one. The good news is that Ten likes to pound the ball, so he could be in line for a few TDs. Assuming VYoung doesnt steal em. SYoung - It looks like Henry will play for at least 1 more week, but even if he doesnt, do you take a chance on a rookie back against a solid run D? Especially considering that there is no guarantee that Shanahan would give him 20+ touches in his 1st start. This is why I typically win/lose with my top guys. It rarely seems to pay off and you feel worse when you would have won if you had played your best players.

    Andre Davis

Not a bad option considering that Shaub really has nobody else to throw to besides the TE. The Dolphins are actually ranked #2 vs the pass, but I guess that has to do with them being so bad against the run and always behind. Why should teams pass when its so easy to pick up 5yds per carry. I think this could be a close gm, so Hou will probably have a balanced attack.
  12. Jack28

    Selvin Young

Henry says "Im playing on Sunday". Rat face says he will play is he feels okay. The suspension could drag out for a few weeks, so the NFL may have to let him suit up, especially w/ the NFLPA involved. It's all about game checks for TH at this point. Hopefully, he sits out. If so, Id consider Young over a lot of guys w/ tough matchups. Although, SD is no slouch against the run. Im not looking too much into LJs game. 50+ of those yds were on the last drive when SD had conceded.
  13. Jack28

Any chance Henry beats the suspension

I was there w/ Travis when he took the test. I's drank the A-sample. There was more than urines in there. I come to find out that I pregnant. That man is potent.
  14. Jack28

How about an ALL PRISON team?

    Nate Newton
  15. Jack28

    Ricky Williams?

lol. My thoughts exactly. I would love to watch Kornheiser go off on one of his comical rants if Shanahan made that move.
