I am a fantasy veteran, but have always participated in CBS Sportsline leagues online. So I joined a local league this year and drafted at BW3 this afternoon. Only 8 teams in the league and I drew the 8th spot in the draft order. The league gives points for receptions and rushing attempts. We start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 QB/TE/K/D and must draft/maintain roster spots: 2 QB, 4 RB, 5 WR, 2 TE, 2K, 2D 1 (8) Marshawn Lynch RB Buff 2 (9) Marion Barber RB Dal 3 (24) Carson Palmer QB Cin 4 (25) Larry Fitzgerald WR Ari 5 (40) Santonio Holmes WR Pit 6 (41) Antonio Gates TE SD 7 (56) Reggie Bush RB NO 8 (57) Jerricho Crotchery WR NYJ 9 (72) Marc Bulger QB StL 10 (73) New England Patriots 11 (88) Calvin Johnson WR Det 12 (89) Ronnie Brown RB Mia 13 (104) Adam Vinateri K Ind 14 (105) Nate Burleson WR Sea 15 (120) Baltimore Ravens 16 (121) Ben Watson TE NE 17 (136) Jeff Reed K Pit

I took MBIII at the ninth pick in my draft today... Only eight teams in the league and just to mess with everyone, I took Marshawn Lynch at #8, since I came right back with the #9 pick.

I see him back in for the second half. I hope he is not just a decoy and they get the ball to him...

Championship week; I am losing by 4 points and need 50 yards or a TD from L. Coles tonight to win. I saw the hit he took from Zach Thomas. IS he out?!?!? I need just 5 points from him!

I agree with Wayne. Braylon has been the most consistent. It's tough to start ANY Browns, but he is your best bet today. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=261983

Garcia would be my choice. Too many questions with Palmer. The Palmer/Johnson combo can bring great rewards, but with great risks. You gotta diversify. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=261983

As a rule I don't like any Browns players, but today is the exception. Play Braylon. I need help at WR also: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=261983

Championship Game! QB: Romo, Garcia or Eli Manning?
Luke35 replied to phillyphan281's topic in A Little Help!
I would be inclined to go with Garcia. By your user name, I assume you like the Eagles and are afraid of being a homer. Eli has been too inconsistent for the championship game. Romo is a decent option also, but who wants to root for the guy playing against your favorite team? At WR, I'd probably play Johnson. Berrian has been up and down (although they ARE playing Detroit), Same with Hackett. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=261983 -
See my sig; I need to pick two WRs to start this weekend for the championship game. Coles, Colston, Moss. Give me your opinions on the best two and why.

I agree with Casey. Even if there is someone on the waiver wire you are looking to pick up, there has to be someone else on your roster who is more of a scrub than Bulger to drop. If there isn't room fo rBulger to sit on your bench, I want your team... (and I think the team I have is pretty good).

I'm looking to catch that lightning in a bottle at least one more time to clinch my division this weekend! But will be happy to have a healthy Colston back as my WR in the playoffs.
-
I am looking to pick up Devery Henderson or Reche Caldwell. I took a big hit this weekend in the injury market: Marques Colston, Kevin Jones, Brett Favre, and already Santana Moss... I could afford to lose Jones, but not Colston. I got ZERO points out of my WRs last week and lost my game by three points. I am also in first place, so I am last in the waiver wire... Hopefully one of these receivers will be there for me.

You know what would help is if you could hum a few bars of it...

THE NFL finally got what they want...and it caused

Maybe I am confusing the play with another now hours later, but I did see it. Didn't the Browns defender not just ease up, but start to celebrate his 'sack' by raising his arms up like he had put Roethlisberger down on the turf with the initial hit? To me that says that he just assumed Ben was going down and he gave up on the play -- like the Giants who gave up on the play last week when they missed the 54 yard field goal. I didn't see it as easing up to avoid the penalty. It was more like a missed tackle that the guy didn't follow up on. He assumed Ben was sacked -- you could tell by his celebration pose. You can't blame that one on the refs or the rule. Blame it on the guy who only plays for the first half of the play...
