    Waiver adds WHIR

Sorry about the book, skip to the bottom if you dont want to read my wall of text. I will help with yours. I went semi zero RB this year in the draft and its working...problem is I tried to be "smart" and drafted RBs in the 3rd and 4th rounds, Thinking waiting until the 5th or 6th even was too late. Well lucky me the RBS I drafted were Alfred Morris and Lamar Miller....not so smart afterall....so picks 3 and 4 are nearly total busts. In fact Ive already drooped Morris and the only ready Miller is still there, aside from really not wanting to drop my 3rd round pick, is maybe..just maybe the "new" staff will give him some more work. I've been winning despite my RBs combining for less that 10 points in every week but 1, but my lucks running out. My entire team crapped the bed this week and I put up a whopping 67 points. What it also did was not give me nearly as much depth at WR as Id like and Ive had some injury issues. Here is what Im looking at 10 team PPR: Newton, Cutler CJ Spiller, Lamar Miller, A Abdoulluah, Andre Ellington, David Johnson, Matt Jones J Jones, Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Devante Adams, Brandon Coleman TE Ebron D Cardinals Cutler was just added to cover for Cam on bye I just had to drop Dunbar because of the ACL, though I had something there, but thats been my luck with RBs this year. Johnson and Jones were upside pick off waivers that haven't hit. Someone dropped Ellington and I grabbed him hoping he can do something once he comes back. Same with Adams and Coleman. I need a TE because I doubt Ebron is playing this Sunday. Also Im not sure if I want to drop him, I really hoping Detroit figures out they can throw. I feel like he could and should be the #2 or #3 receiver on that team. Hes also been surprisingly consistent up until he got hurt last week. So TL;DR I need a TE to replace Ebron for a week at least Delanie Walker or Gary Barnidge? Other notable that I can drop Brandon Coleman for: Allen Hurns, Tavon Austin if I want to try to get another upside receiver. Best RB out there is probably Charles Sims..... Not sure If I should try and grab any of those guys or just wait until people have to start dropping people because of byes.

How good is Mariota Rest of Season?

I think hes not getting more love because hes a rookie and people are expecting him to eventually play like one in at least a few games. Im sure there are worse choices that could be made at QB though. That said I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he would be, Yes hes putting up consistent numbers now but that can stop at any time. Bradford and Stafford are playing really bad right now too....but I have to imagine one of those offenses is going to figure it out eventually. Im on the fence about it...I dont know how I feel trying to ride a rookie QB the rest of the way, but the others are so bad right now it appears to be the best option.

    Waiver adds WHIR

Flight of fancy maybe, Jones and Morris were nearly splitting carries, Jones is the more talented back, Jones had more upside, I thought Jones could take over..he didnt. Morris sure wasnt doing anything though. Morris is still on the FA list too..so dropping him wasnt the worse idea Ive ever had. At this point I dont want any Washington RBs.

    Someone Dropped Ellington

Someone just dropped Ellington in my league. Its a PPR league, I drafted 6th and couldn't resist the first 2 picks of Brown and Julio, so I'm a little weak at RB. For RBs I have Lamar Miller, Ameer Abdoullah, Spiller, Blount, David Johnson, Lance Dunbar and I just picked up Matt Jones. As you can see Ive been grabbing anyone I can to try and see if someone hits. Id originally drafted Miller and Alfred Morris. I ended up having to drop Morris for Jones. Id be dropping Dunbar for Ellington, he had a bit of upside but Dallas is just a mess right now.

    Someone Dropped Ellington

See if he doesn't come back healthy I have Johnson, D not C lol. Rolling the dice on who is going to have a big week is not the best case but Blunt and the Pats RBS are a dice roll too and an even more volatile one. So yeah I have it set to Drop Blount and grab Ellington...now hopefully no one else in the league notices Ellington was dropped because Im like 8th in waiver priority....

    Drop Hillman for Ebron?

I don't know if its that surprising. Everyone thinks Detroit sucks and Detroit hasn't done anything to make people think otherwise. That said Ebron may be turning out to be one of the gems on that team. DeAngelo is done as soon a Leveon is back....it Leveons team. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448624

    Should I make the trade...WHIR

I think Luck is great but the difference between a Luck and an Eli is a lot smaller than you may think. You have 3 #1 receivers on their respective teams and they're an every week starter for you. Im not sure the points your giving up getting rid of one of them is worth what your going to get from going from Eli to Luck. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448624

    Romo replacement

Id have to say Mariota is the best bet there, but yeah agreed it may not be time to quit on Bradford just yet. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448624
  11. I don't think your starting either of those guys over McCoy or Ivory in a standard league....with the small bench and limited transactions id be even more against it. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448624
  12. I dropped Alf in my league if that tells you anything but it was for Jones. Im PPR too though. It is a tough spot and in your position Id have to agree Alf and Forte. Woodheads biggest value is in PPR. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448624

    Someone Dropped Ellington

The possibility crossed my mind that with a backup QB there may be more check down dump passes and Dunbar could definitely take advantage of that. On the flip side of the coin I could also see with a backup QB them keeping things fairly vanilla.....This guy is a pro though and he has been with the team..so in theory he should know the offense.

    I'm done with Toby

Because some of us dont have better options. Im getting away with not being able to play him at the moment but if I get hit with another injury and/or byes Im going to need something out of him.

    Finally saw Asiata play and....

Because hes miles better than Asiata in athletic ability, was a top performer at the combine and was drafted as APs eventual replacement. Which for all intents and purposes has been aggressively accelerated. Asiata s just a placeholder until Mckinnons ready, now who knows when that will be....hes a lottery ticket.
  16. loki993

    Late gem rbs

I grabbed Mckinnon this weekend as a lottery ticket stash...I would have really liked to see a bit usage for him though.....doesnt seem like he got any touches at all but he has to at some point right...he just flat out better then Asiata who is really nothing special.

    Official Week 3 F.U. thread

Im currently winning but only by one point so I could be back here on Thursday saying fock you to stat corrections. but for now its fock Seattle for having Peytons number and holding my DT and JT to 9 and 10 points respectively. Id usually be mad about numbers like that from those 2 but the way that game seemed to be going I was happy to see 10 out of JT. Also fock Jim Harbaugh for apparently forgetting he could still use running backs in this game.
  18. loki993

    AP dropped

How is Mckinnon not rosterable? He is the absolute better back than Asiata and Id say you have a heck of a better chance of getting something out of him if you stash him than AP. Not that he had a chance to show that this week. I honestly wouldn't trade anything for him

    L. Bell

The guy was probably either a Michigan or Ohio State fan. Either way I traded for Bell before this weekend and glad I did....slightly annoying though that Blount does nothing the first 2 weeks and then as soon as get Bell he vultures a touchdown.
  20. I have a very WR heavy team but my RB production, even the ones that are supposed to be decent aren't performing as well as expected. I and 2 and 0 so Im not in any trouble yet, but I've been lucky with fortuitous performances from Ryan and JT in week one and the Pats D and Randall Cobb in 2. Also with Ryan Matthews down I'm hoping Woodhead will be getting more looks. The jury is still out on Pierce but he does appear to still be relevant in Baltimore but hes definitely going to be splitting with Forsett for at least the time being. Gore is doing ok for me and Gerhart is just not doing anything. I've played Gore and Gerhart the last two weeks and the results were mixed at best, though Gore was decent this week. I'm probably going to play 2 of the three Gore, Woodhead or Pierce next week depending on the matchup. With my receivers I just need backs that are solid not great performers. with all the injuries the waiver wire will be on fire this week but Im afraid to drop someone that plays every week for someone that may just be good for a few weeks and then be sitting again. Is anyone worth targeting that may be getting production for the rest of the season? I mean obviously if I can get a good every down, or 3 down back its worth it. Do I look for a trade? Or do I just wait it out, stop jumping to conclusions, and see whats what with the guys I have. Im leaning towards waiting, but I definitely don't want to miss out on an opportunity if there is one to be had. Rainey and Brown are available and I have 6th waiver priority...so Im not even sure the chances of getting either of them is realistic. Rainey would probably be the guy to look at and I'm not sure doubling up on SD with Woodhead and Brown is a good or bad idea. QB Matt Ryan, ATL Bernard Pierce, BAL , Danny Woodhead, SD, DeAngelo Williams, CAR, Frank Gore, SF, Toby Gerhart, JAC Demaryius Thomas, DEN, Dez Bryant, DAL, Golden Tate, DET, Jeremy Maclin, WR Randall Cobb, GB, Josh Gordon Julius Thomas, DEN, Zac Ertz K Blair Walsh, MIN League is QB, 2RB, 2 WR, Flex(RB,WR or TE), TE and D PPR

    Just traded FOR AP

I highly doubt that on Rice..I think hes on a season long vacation....I'm betting he will be back next year though. AP is tougher but im thinking he will be sitting for at least a few games this season.
  22. loki993

Best RB waiver add this week?

Is Brown worth the pickup if you already have Woodhead? OR would Robinson be the better pick?
  23. loki993

Do I try to get a RB or stay put for now

Yeah id say your situation is definitely similar.....though I do like Hydes upside potential..even though it would be the the detriment of Gore. Moreno was great until he went down.

++ UPDATE No.2: Adrian Peterson Out Indefinitely ++

That's all fine and good and maybe before the Rice thing that could have flied. Fact is though if they dropped the hammer on Rice for knocking his wife out and they don't do anything to Peterson for what he did the NFLs already shaky image will look even more horrible and even more people will be calling for Goodells job with good reason. They almost have to do something, Im almost surprised it hasn't happened yet even.

++ UPDATE No.2: Adrian Peterson Out Indefinitely ++

Due process or not it would reflect very badly on the NFL if he was allowed to play. You kick the guy that knocked his wife out of the league but you let the child abuser play. Thats not flying with a LOT of people, not after the Rice thing. What to me almost makes it worse is this is the guy that had one of his kids beaten to death just last year because of abuse..you would think he would be a bit more sensitive to hitting his kids like that.
