If any of you remember, I was laid off about 3 weeks ago. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3917600 Anyway, I got my old job back doing the same scope of work, driving the same company Ford Ranger. I did lose my cushy office with 2 windows but since I'm on the road half the time I'm allowed to work the office portion from our home now. I may have to drop in the Shop 2-3 times a week but I'll trade that office for working from home in a heartbeat. The only negative is my bonuses have been permanently axed. That accounted for probably 7-10 thousand dollars a year so it's not a dealbreaker by any means. Plus when the economy gets stronger, they may come back to me. They told me yesterday and asked me to come in Friday to sign the contract. One thing my lawyer had them add was I'm on a year to year contract that gets renegotiated every year on the 6 month of each contract. Now I'll always know I have a job for between 6-12 months at a time and if I get dumped again, I'll know 6 months in advnce. I'm going to go get drunk and maybe high too. It's a good day.

So a couple weeks ago our boss says we need to make some cutbacks at work. Maybe lay off 5-6 people. Unless someone has any ideas. Someone suggested that some volunteers might take a week off with only 20% salary that week. Four agreed to bitr the bullet of which I was one. Remember, I went to Florida on a drunken Spring Training mini vacation. Well, last Monday our boss calls everybody into the conference room and says we HAVE TO lay off 4 people and the only ones who seem capable of handling it are the ones who took the voluntary week off. ME! Now I'm unemployed. And believe me the $ 330 a week on unemployment comes nowhere near my salary. !@#$%^&*()@$^*!#%&( And my wife is like Never volunteer to help a company out. NEVER!

Well the wife and kids won't starve. I don't want to lose the board sympathy but my wife's mother/father died about 2 years ago and we have a few bucks stashed away. As far as work, I was making 6 figures and have been offered a job at a 40% cut in pay in D.C. My wife will not move into town. I have networking associates way out in Virginia but again it's no sure thing and 40% cut in pay. Since we do have a few bucks set aside, I don't know about major relocation. I'm just mad as hell that I took that time off. My networking contacts are working for me right now. We'll see. BTW thanks for your concern and advice. Appreciate it.

Well that's not exactly true. We're here at the Southern Cross Hotel and they say that Siouxsie's real name is Adrienne Zolondick and she lives in Key Colony Bay half the way back to Miami. CABOTS ON THE WATER * Marathon, Florida Spring Training 2009 or Toad & Charlie's Excellent Adventure Man I thought I'd never remember this password. So I landed in Orlando on Saturday and my bro and I caught the4 Braves Pjhilies game. 7-2 Braves. Then we drove to Melbourne and watched the Nats beat the Astros 8-6 on Monday I think. Tuesday found us watching the Nats Mets game and I'll be damned if I can remember the score. Yesterday we drove tp Ft. Lauderdale to catch the O's but we misread the schedule and they ere not there. So we decided to drive to Key West and have a menage e trois with Siousxie. Grapping lunch here in Marathon at Frosty's. I'll guess we make it. been drinking staedy for a week's now. This fricking e-mail cost me ten bucks!

Work is forcing about 12 of us to take a week off with 20 % pay instead of firing anybody or full layoffs. I'm acting all bummed out about it and so my wife has suggested I do something that I've been wanting to do. I suggest visiting my brother and she bought it. Yeehigh. Flying to Orlando this weekend. Catch 4 or 5 games over the next 6-7 days.

I was wondering if I wanted to take that chance as well. What if you didn't delete the pics completely. Boy oh boy.

Titans&Bucs is absolutely right as most married men will attest to. But dragan remembers about my sister-in-law. And for a while I wasn't allowed to post here anymore. But things change. I understand the DH is an American League thing but during certain Interleague play the NL can use it too. BUT during Spring Training when NL teams play other NL teams, I've noticed the DH is used and Pitchers don't bat. My question is WTF? Why does the NL not use the DH all the F time?
