Two observations. First, as another post stated, the Oakland line can't get to the second level. Derrick Johnson was unblocked on virtually every play, so those runs up the middle were doomed. Second, DMC can't make anyone miss and cannot break a tackle, which LSUtiger implies in his post. But he did look fast on that 64 yarder against PIT when the seas parted and he had a hole to run through.

I drafted Brown in my PPR, and I agree that some guys just aren't much of a factor in the red zone. That's why the term 'possession receiver' was created. Names like Wayne Chrebet, Keyshawn Johnson, Ernest Givins, Jimmy Smith come to mind - tons of receptions, but double digit TDs just weren't going to happen with those guys. Brown might be that kind of guy - his numbers so far (pretty early in his career) are certainly consistent with that label. That said, he's the #25 WR in PPR so you could do worse at your WR2.

I have him in an IR slot but don't expect him back until week 12 or so. I doubt he will be any help this year and would not be holding him if I had to spend a roster spot.

No, you should drop him and pick up someone who is getting 20 carries per game. If by some chance nobody like that is available, grab the backup on a team where the starter sucks ass.

annnnnddddd.....the Falcons backfield caught four balls that hit them in stride. Peyton didn't seem to have much on his throws beyond 10-15 yds (FYI that doesn't mean he can't drop a ball downfield to someone wide open). I dunno, maybe it will end up hurting Thomas and helping Decker, if he runs underneath patterns more often.

can someone who watched the game provide some info on why he caught just 2 passes out of 7 targets? that's more disappointing to me (ppr owner) than the horrid ypc which I kinda expected since the MIA is pretty strong against the run.

this game would move along quicker if they held a fan vote over how to assess each penalty.

nice to hear that the refs also have no idea where to put the ball after a penalty. I guess it's on the coaches to watch that and have a challenge flag ready (unless they are Denver haha)

same opinion, different angle. I actually spent a draft pick on Jones but waived him when I saw Amendola on the WW in my PPR. The upside on Cobb is undeniable and I think the Packers are smart enough to see that. If James Jones was Mr. Consistency then this might be a tough decision but he's about as hit-or-miss as it gets.

I live in the ATL area and all the talk here has been about how bad Turner looked, and how the Falcons really need to find an alternative. They just aren't sure that Rodgers is that alternative. Turner is pretty clearly trending downward and it looks like Koetter doesn't trust him to punch it in from the red zone.

Domanick Davis hurt his knee, changed his name to Domanick Williams...and then vanished. Unlike Davis/Williams, Slaton didn't come from nowhere. Everyone who watched him in camp last summer expected him to take over as our #1 back. He is still unquestionably the most talented back on our roster. His problem so far has been (1) he's been fumbling the ball and (2) our O-line has been dominated at the point of attack. The line will now also be without LG Chester Pitts for the rest of the season. Maybe to the rest of the league, Slaton did 'come out of nowhere' last year, but this year teams are preparing for him. I am not expecting him to have the huge games he did last year, but I'd be very surprised (and disappointed) if he actually got phased out of the Texans offense. I'm pretty sure Kubiak is just trying to light a fire under him and recognizes that Slaton is a big key to our chances.

I think his overall numbers are going to be pretty decent, but if he's gonna be like last year and have most his season's fantasy production in three games, I'll pass. His value likely depends on Schaub beating the odds and staying healthy all year...Daniels fell off the offensive map a bit when Schaub was out.

I'm a Texans homer and I wouldn't advise this...outside of a couple of games I wouldn't want all three of them in my lineup.

I like Rotoworld, but their 'recommendations' about whether players should be owned in 'all leagues' or 'all 12-team leagues' don't always mesh well with reality. I'd bet that if you counted up all the players that 'should be owned in 12-team leagues' and divided by 12, you'd end up with 20+. Add in the players who are 'worth a look in 12-team leagues' -- and you're up to 30-man rosters. Does anybody play with rosters that large?
