Uhh, yes I have. I'm talking about the specific act of catching the ball and then using the ball against the ground to brace the impact.
-
I've seen multiple receivers do the exact same thing CJ did against the Bears and it not get called, so it certainly seems like they have decided not to call it anymore.
-
It's pretty BS that the league keeps using the Lions getting screwed as an opportunity to not screw other teams in similar situations in the future.
-
Was it a good celebration at least?
-
Yep, incredibly garbage. Do the refs have money on the Packers or something?
-
Do you guys honestly believe the garbage you type? You're falling victim to sampling bias - pick a 4 game sample with arbitrary starting and ending points, then whine and complain... rinse and repeat. This board accounts for about 1/2 the whining on the entire internet. It is pathetic. It doesn't matter what he did in the past? It doesn't matter that he had 5 straight weeks of stud production which helped you get into the playoffs in the first place? If he hadn't had that run you wouldn't even be on this board blubbering because you likely wouldn't have made the playoffs in the first place. Looking at RBs ahead of him... Foster started the year missing two games and having a third garbage game. Fred Jackson is on IR. Peterson is out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain and the team has nothing to play for so it's unclear whether they'll even bother trying to rush him back. reports are mixed about Forte, but there's an outside chance that he misses the rest of the season. Turner has had 2 clunkers in a row and hasn't had an elite game since week 6. MJD has been solid but not incredible (in my league scoring, MJD has had only 1 20 pt game whereas Gore has had 4). Michael Bush has been pretty up and down but, once again, put up a big clunker last week. Beanie Wells has had 2 amazing games and been mediocre to garbage the rest of the year. Chris Johnson has basically ruined the season of everyone who drafted him. McFadden has been a massive bust. Etc. So Gore isn't Ray Rice or Lesean McCoy... big freaking deal. Stop whining. Also, I reiterate: Gore is currently the #12 RB in standard scoring and his ADP was 10 among RBs in ESPN leagues. If he keeps up his current pace, he has a good shot at finishing as the #10 or 11 RB. You are getting exactly what you drafted... why the hell are you whining? This doesn't make any sense. You realize fantasy football isn't real life... right? ... keep my head buried in the sand about what? My point is that Gore has been pretty solid this year (FACT) and that whining about 2 mediocre games and 2 garbage games, when the year as a whole has been completely in line with reasonable expectations and pretty much every single RB in the NFL except 2 have disappointed (for fantasy purposes) at times, is just stupid.

First of all, 9 points isn't *that* bad. Second, you are of course failing to point out that prior to the 4 games you are citing he had 5 consecutive good to awesome games (and I'm guessing that those 5 games had something to do with you getting into the playoffs?). Third, after this week he is the #12 ranked RB in my league's scoring (and one guy above him is on IR and another is out indefinitely with a high-ankle sprain)... and his ADP in ESPN leagues was 10. If you drafted decently you're pretty much getting what you thought you were going to get - a guy who can be elite but who gets dinged up pretty consistently and plays on a team with a not good QB that opposing defenses don't need to respect. People on this board are so annoying with their constant whining and only looking to the bad in a situation.
-
Yep. He has definitely changed his approach from earlier in the game and he looks way, way better.
-
I was getting really worried when they went down 14-0 that they were going to abandon Blount.
-
What a run. Nice of the Packers to keep trying to knock him down instead of wrapping up.

Why are the Lions passing so much vs Panthers?!?!

Well, Kevin Smith just gashed the Panthers... -

Because their running game is terrible. -
They need to start simulating a game for him 30 min before kickoff or something because his first halves have been pretty consistently bad this year. Edit: Both the pics were bad to. First one, he just didn't see the guy. Second on, he's trying to force a ball into triple coverage. WTF Staff.

That's pretty damn funny.
