    Deuce McCallister

I agree that I think most teams will look to copy the Saints and Jags success with two backs. I wasn't sure what McCallister's contract looked like so it made me wonder if maybe the Saints would look to evolve Bush's role more into a lead back and phase Deuce out gradually until his contract expired and then allow him to move on.

    Deuce McCallister

I'm wondering how much Deuce has left. He's 29 and coming off a decent season but has struggled through a few injuries. Also, how do you think the Siants will use him this year. Can we expect Bush to take even more carries this year?

    Kevin Jones

I had the Seattle defense as being one of the better Ds this year, specifically with the addition of Julian Peterson. I figured this to be a tough test for the Lions offense. Hopefully, the Lions D will keep them in more games this year and the run won't be abandoned early. Not a Lions fan here, but have KJ as my #3 RB (got him cheap) and hoping to reap big rewards.

    Kevin Jones

If so, how did he do? Did he run hard? How do you think he will fare in Maike Matz's offense? Is there hope that he may be the player that finished 2004 like a Pro Bowler? Insights are appreciated.

Strange news regarding Dunn and Griffith

I don't believe this is referring only to preseason. I just picked up Griffith in a dynasty league because I fully expect him to assume the TJ Duckett role. I watched this guy in college and he is an excellent player capable of being productive running and catching the ball. I feel like Griffith's talent had as much to do with TJ being traded as did Duckett's recent drop-off in ypg.
  6. Lewis ran a 4.75 40-yard dash at a recent pro-day. Not bad for a big bowl of flab. He's definitely a project but worth a late round pick or FA signing.
  7. OK. Vernon Davis goes first, but after that how would you rank the TEs in this year draft? List your rankings and what round you think they will go. Here's my take: 1. Vernon Davis (round 1) 2. Marcedes Lewis (mid-round 2) 3. Leonard Pope (mid-round 2) 4. Dominique Byrd (early round 3) 5. Anthony Fasano (late round 3) 6. Joe Klopfenstein (late round 3 - early round 4) 7. David Thomas (mid-round 4 - early round 5) 8. Tony Scheffler (mid-round 5) Sleeper - late round or FA Jai Lewis (the next Antonio Gates?)

    Tatum Bell

Most young RBs struggle with pass protection. That can be taught. Give the guy a chance.

    Tatum Bell

Help me out here. Mike Anderson is gone. Tatum Bell rushed for almost 1,000 yds. while spliting time with Mike Anderson. He averaged 5.3 ypc and scored 8 TDs. He didn't fumble much and I seem to remember that he remained, for the most part, injury free last year. And he's got tremendous speed. This guy can take it to the house on any carry. He's 5'11" and weighs 215. Other than Lendale White, he bigger or as big as any of the other top rated RBs coming out of college this year. So why would Denver consider using a high round pick on another similar type RB with less speed (i.e., Williams, Maroney, Addai, Calhoun, etc.). And the durability question can't really be answered until Bell has the job and carries the ball 20+ times a game. I know in college DeAngelo Williams had injury problems. Not sure about the rest. So why doesn't Bell get his shot this year?

Zach Hilton - TE - Saints

Yep. I agree. Brees knows the value of using his TE. That's why I have resisted several attempts other owners have made to trade for Hilton. Seems like he's hitting everyone's radar. 8 TDs is not out of the question.

Zach Hilton - TE - Saints

Zach Hilton came on late last year and posted some decent numbers. Now with Drew Brees in town and a new headcoach does Hilton become even more of a factor in the Saints passing game. He's a huge target at 6'8" and catches the ball well. Anyone have the scoop on this guy or projections for the 2006 season?

    Bengals set to sign Adams

Actually big Sam was one of the lone bright spots for the Buffalo D last year. The Bills lost at least one key D-lineman who played next to Adams and lost Spikes as well. I look for Sam to make a huge impact for the Bengals in '06. Now the question is: "Are the Bengals moving to a 3-4?

    Justin Griffith - ATL

I've seen this guy in college and in the pros. He is a runningback playing fullback. He's also a very good receiver. I think he could have an impact on Monday night, possibly score a TD or more. Anyone else think this?
