I max out my HSA contribution but my employer wasn't taking it out pre tax. My fault for not catching it until tax filing time--and After I filed my 2024 taxes. Had to do an amended return. What frosts me is I could have put that money into a Roth IRA instead, which would have been preferred. Oh well. I am too old to dump into a roth now, so regular ol' 401k it is. And my HSA. I agree with your post that an HSA is the absolute best thing to add money to.

Look. I am not a giant fan of the tariffs--outside of reciprocal ones. I also am taking a wait and see approach. Unlike so many, I am not doing anything with my 401k or my investments. I think it's dumb to do so. Additionally however, if anyone believes China can win a trade war with the US long term, you're insane. A long term tariff battle against the US will destroy their economy. Now I know Timmy will come in here and say it will destroy the US as well, but nope. They need us way more than we need them.

Hey now. I had Arby's last week. with the now returned potato cakes....And it was awesome.

He's just not gonna get it. even when he'd get suspended, he'd whine and complain to Joe about it, making it worse. Squish reported people SO MUCH! Over emojis, ha ha posts, you name it. He must have driven the mods insane with his reporting. This is not a stretch, you see it here. He gets butthurt all the time, about silly little things. Only difference is there aren't a bunch of censorship mods floating around that will cow tow to his whining. And Tim's reaction tells you all you need to know about him. Like I said, he was really upset when his echo chamber at FBG started allowing conservatives to post and counter his self serving arguments. What frosted them is they would report tings, the mods didn't react as they wanted, with immediate censorship, and that made them even more mad. Tim and squish can continue to lie, we already know Tim does on the regular. But I was there, I saw it daily. The board closed due to the incessant reporting, mostly by the emotional liberals who didn't like that their little protected world was changing. That's my last post on this topic. Glad we have a forum here where free speech is respected, not censored.

He was. Tim was. Tim wanted it to be his place and lost his mind when conservatives started showing up. I was one of the first. He struggled with it quite a bit. Squish was just awful. Even the mods knew it. Im 100% confident he was the #1 reporter. But then again, you cant totally blame him. Joe and the mods encouraged it. They just didnt realize how bad squish was gonna make it for them.

1/2 of the country are liberal. And it has been proven enough times that liberals are 100% emotion first. So they are selling off their investments in droves. I'm certain you have 20 something, even 30 something liberals that are doing stupid things with their 401k's, because they are utterly without logic. It's a shame but the folks on the right need to understand this liberal feeling issue. It's very real and manifests itself in sooo many things.

If Torkelson for the Tigers keeps hitting, this will really help the Tigers(duh). But it was nice to see him come through in the 9th Sunday. And Baez had 3 hits and an awesome tag on a steal of second. I feel a little more positive right now about this team. It's still early and the Yankees are in town so it could get ugly quick. But at least they are starting on the right foot.
