  2. Yeah, the agreement originally was suppose to be last week. It didn't go through so our Seth offered the deal again only on the condition of doing it next week and not this week. I was fine with it. I saw the offer, but never accepted it. I was waiting to accept it next week. I think it's still on the homepage under trades for me still being offered and never being accepted. My original starting line-up for this week was:

    Culpepper

    Staley

    Smith

    Az-Hakim

    Shockey

    Wycheck

    Carney

    Baltimore D

    Instead I'm goin' with:

    Eddie Kennison WR- Kansas City

Once that team drops me, I'm picking myself up!!!

Cool. Thanks. Our rosters can go as high as 24 players before we have to drop players. Right?

  5. My team started out with a bang in the draft with drafting Culpepper, R.Smith and trading for Ahman Green. Then I took or traded for very high risk, possibly high reward picks.

QB- I'm very high on Culpepper. I think with the addition of Bates and Alexander and also Bennett having a year under his belt, Culpepper may bring numbers like he did before. Collins is an insurance pick. I saw a graphic on the MNF saying he's the only QB to take all the teams snaps for the last 2 years... don't know if I read that right, but that's good to know. Redmen and Kitna are for emergencies, but maybe Redmen will pan out in 2 or 3 years. GRADE B+

RB- Ahman Green was rated number 2 or 3 in most mock drafts. Duce Staley was picked over WR J.Horn because I thought there will be no other good quality RBs. Tony Richardson could have a Mike Alstott year last year. But he's most for bye weeks. After Richardson, it's all wild cards. Chapman, Brookins and Jamal Anderson don't expect to play much unless someone goes down. Anderson could start if a team is willing to take a chance on him. GRADE B

WR- R. Smith is the stud of this bunch. Jerome Pathon showed flashes of brilliance last year. Hopefully he will get some looks with teams double teaming Horn. Rocket Ishmail will be good if the 'Boys choose the right QB. I've heard nothing but good reports coming from Chi town about Marcus Robinson, but still risky. If Darney Scott recovers from all injuries, he could be a threat again. Antonio Freeman needs to find a team though. And my Wildest of cards... Jeremy Shockey. It seems encouraging watching MNF, but I can't get too excited about him until the regular season starts. GRADE B

Def/K - If the Chargers sign Jammer, it will be a great backfield. Raiders has the Woodson connection (Rod and Charles) plus their 1st round draft pick in Buchanon. They drafted a pretty good LB Nap Harris. John (I am not a)Carney seemed to be a pretty good choice with kicking on artificial turf with a team that will have many opportunities to score. GRADE B

Overall a good team, but not a great team. Depth will be a problem if my starters go down to injuries. I'm gambling on some past stars (Freeman, Robinson, and J. Anderson) to bring it back, but still have players to fill their position if they can't come through.

  6. Darb...

I really didn't think everyone would pick 2nd to 3rd string RB's over highly touted WR's. I did get into the debate of Staley or Horn. I thought I had to pick Staley because I knew he wouldn't be there for my next pick or any RB worth value. I really liked Horn, but I did get Booker and Gardner (for the future and hopefully now) as depth for WR. I like your team. Manning-James connection is outstanding. You do have some high risk high reward picks, but if you are staying in the league for a while, they will be fine.

I was just wondering, because I think computer picks suck (good way to ruin a team) and wouldn't mind comming up with an alternative solution. I know this Saturday I'm going to an all day party and won't be back until Sunday morning, so if I have a pick fall in there I might be screwed.

Hey Grigs... My pick was what I wanted. Computer didn't pick it and yes, I wanted to pick someone else, but I didn't think there would be any RB's next time I pick. :D Or are you saying my pick really sucks? :D Just kidding. Good luck all.
