  6. As much as Joe didn’t like tim and his antics he really loathed you at the end of the political forum. The inane nonstop badgering was one of the driving forces. I tried to broker a back room deal but he was fed up with a lot of you guys and particularly you two jabronis

  8. A mod/goths connection: . The only 2 bands that would be considered mod and actually got radio airtime then were The Who & The Jam . The Jam breaking up was a real kick in the nuts to me Emo /ˈiːmoʊ/ is a rock music genre characterized by emotional, often confessional lyrics. It emerged as a style of hardcore punk and post-hardcore from the mid–1980sWashington, D.C. hardcore scene, where it was known as emotional hardcore or emocore. The bands Rites of Spring and Embrace, among others, pioneered the genre. In the early-to-mid 1990s, emo was adopted and reinvented by alternative rock, indie rock, punk rock, and pop-punk bands, including Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbreaker, Cap'n Jazz, and Jimmy Eat World. By the mid-1990s, Braid, the Promise Ring, and the Get Up Kidsemerged from Midwest emo, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the genre. Meanwhile, screamo, a more aggressive style of emo using screamed vocals, also emerged, pioneered by the San Diego bands Heroin and Antioch Arrow. Screamo achieved mainstream success in the 2000s with bands like Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Story of the Year, Thursday, the Used, and Underoath.
  9. The Smiths going their separate ways were straphangers besides Morrissey . Biggest thing Marr ever did was inspire Noel Gallaghers look. Without Morrissey he was a session player ham & egger
  10. None of these bands had anything to do with each others genres and 80s emo sprung up from hardcore. 90s emo was a whole different thing. Cure’s 1st album was decent then they morphed into goth and all the girly men. Smith’s had some really good singles, the highs were high and the lows are pretty low. Morrissey was a hell of a songwriter. DepechecMode first broke big in the sissy crowd who we call now Low Ters
